Rawlings is a criminal who will pretend to you (Nunoo Mensah) that he didn't knew anything about what happened at the time (the killings of the judges) but he's the instigator of all the killings with his tribesmen, because they're dominated the Security apparatus. Lets take example from Pakistan, the courts has sentenced the former Army General who ruled the country with fist hands for many years to death, for all the atrocities that he committed against Pakistan. Rawlings should face the justice (courts)to answer questions about his past.
@Bantze Hotep No where a well trained soldier, who's superior in command will let his junior officer dominates him,by the junior given instructions to the senior to follow up. A well disciplined officer will not hide on the ceiling of his roof when he sees something unusual. Ghanaian military officers are office clerks up to date, they gives command in their offices that's why people like Rawlings took the advantage of the situation. Even me as a civilian sitting on my farms in my village will not let some soldiers to pick me up and go and crucify me by firing squad, like what happened to AFRIFA. I will fight to death as a soldier or even civilian. I'll never allowed the enemy to capture me.
@Bantze Hotep Indeed, he's damn right to believe what Rawlings told him when he confronted him. But with the benefit of hindsight, seeing and hearing from other players who had first hand info and also witnessed all the atrocities; Gen Nunoo Mensah should be informed by now. Fast-forward, now that we all know what happened, why continue to defend? If Rawlings was innocent, why is he mad about the story been told or why is he attacking the other Actors now telling their stories? @Bantze Hotep My Military Instincts tells me that he knew about it, but probably didn't sanction the killings but approved the abductions. Why? Because when confronted about the abductions, Rawlings turned to Amartey Kwei and asked; where are they? And he answered in the affirmative, Chairman, we have Finished them. I find it difficult and problematic to defend Rawlings. Thanks
