I love that you brought up the point of feeling like you need two different glasses, which can be a pain. That's an excellent point that I think a ton of people will not realize. I'm trying to figure out which ones I can wear to work, but I can't wear sunglasses at work so I might have to deal with swapping them for sunnies. I also would like to take some POV videos of myself driving. There's tons of moments every day worth capturing, so the more you can wear them the more moments you can record without pullout out a phone. I love that. One video I watched made that point that when you're wearing these, and having interactions, it's more genuine than when you have a phone/camera pointed at someone. I think they will help me listen to more music or that's what I'm hoping for as well as capture myself making drinks as a barista mostly, as well as a few other ideas.
You can not expect a 400 Dollar device to give you the same video quality of an iPhone. Even if they are able to set 4K, the device will overheat in minutes.
@@avaro2 there are a lot of point shoot cameras with 1 inch sensors like the Zv1F From Sony at $400 price points or used canon m50s with APSC sensors that have great quality (better than cellphone) … the camera quality looks very dated and old.
@@reviewsbyrobbie These are large cameras in a metal housing, this technology would make the glasses thick and heavy. And yes, the image quality is not great, enthusiastic photographers can never be satisfied with the Meta Ray Ban
I work in a place where there's a lot of idle time standing by myself doing nothing. But the manager pops in to check on me (/annoy me. Lol). It can get insanely boring so I like to listen to a podcast with an earbud in. But management gets on my case for that. So the ability to have a discreet audio solution is big for me.
Thank you for this review. Most reviews are from 6 months ago. And from tech reviewers that dont have the same interests i have. But you sold me in saying these are for anyone that just wants a pair of glasses in their head and saying how much you use them for audio. My main interest is getting my first set of Raybans... im extremely interested in being able to listen to music with them. And the video or photo aspect as well the ai just seems like fun add ons to me. And the price doesnt seem that wild as i only paid maybe 50 bucks less for my dolce & gabbana prescriptions.
hey that's great! i use it the same way audio first then video is just an added bonus! I have do have an affilate link in my bio (it helps the channel grow, they give me like $10 or per commission) not much but everything helps! Consider using my link only if you want to support the channel! Hope it works out :)
I got transition prescription lenses in mine. I had to play around with app settings to get the best battery life and I am pretty pleased. The AI and Audio features are fantastic. I can have the camera look at something in Spanish and read it to me. I rarely use my AirPods Pro now. I will record training videos and zoom calls with as the audio. It is great.
I tried to make the list in order of importance. Already horizontal would be big improvement. The 4K would let you use video also vertically in reels. I think that 120 fps is for those who like to and can make cinematic videos.
I hate swiching between glasses. Very good point. However, I will always prefer separate sunglassses over something like the Meta/Ray-Ban glasses any day. I like the idea of being able to capture video (content) with one pair, but light conditions for my eyes take prescedent, as in your case as well. Lens tech has improved vastly since the 1990s, but we still don’t have a good full indoor and outdoor lens-yet. Thanks for your perspective.
The vertical only video is a non starter for me. Also an internal sd card slot would be crucial. Furthermore the capability to charge with a usbc port would be nice
Transitions make a product that works even in cars. I have the same issue and have to open the sun roof to get them dark. Which obviously is not cool if the sun is crazy that day
Car Bluetooth is annoying. Audio usage is awesome. Use it for my iPad and other devices. Video is weak, don’t think it was meant to be good. Although Kenji Alt Lopez uses it really well in his videos in his Chicken Teryaki reviews. Nice they made the videos longer too. Once they update to landscape ability and higher resolution this will be a great option. Also helps my eye insurance covers half the cost lol.
@@Sheenifier then these won't work for you cause they don't last that long. But the glasses work like normal glasses just not the smart features.. www.meta.com/help/smart-glasses/articles/ray-ban-meta/battery-life-ray-ban-meta-smart-glasses/
Dude thats a very bad review.. You skip the most important stuff at very beginning.. I pause only to give you thumb down and to write this comment. Most important is THE BATTERY LIFE. It always is the main thing, and then we can talk about stuff it can do or not do. Its simple, how long will it run on a single charge, and how many times can you charge it from the charging box. It is so simple. Impossible to screw up. You say its a long term review and you didnt even test battery life. Thats the first thing I did when I got my Ulefone with 18000mAh battery. If you wanna be using these you wanna be sure they work. No battery issues or that. Thats why most sports cameras fail. Cant use 30 min sports camera on a mountain climb that takes whole day. Same thing goes to these glasses. Content creators will want to use these if the battery holds up lets say entire town trip or something..
@@reviewsbyrobbie didnt give you thumbs down.. Just battery life is the most important thing to me.. Thats why I got Ulefone Armor 26, and thats why im getting the best tablet on planet earth called Armor Pad 3 Pro. Have a look at battery on these ;) Now thats what I call POWAAH
@@EvasiveCrow like it works for a few hours like the box says.. then I have to charge it depending on how much I use each little component.. not sure what else I can say. I'm not a spec channel so I donn't know how else to say it
