I would love to spend the day with Ray just to hear the stories and get insight on how one of the brightest crew chiefs ever in Nascar became a champion.
This is only a SMALL portion of Ray’s collection and what they do at his garage. If you look hard on RU-vid you can find plenty more videos, he’s doing really cool things over there
@@brandonenglund7516 I follow a lot of car RU-vidrs but I'm always interested to know about some more. Who is this person that you're talking about? I was really just talking directly to NASCAR because they're trying to reach out and capture people's attention during this off-season with new little videos like this. I think it's working
@@SeniorWhoopyIRL Ray Evernham, the man in the video. He also has an Instagram page and shares a lot of his collection and progress of racecar restorations, if you’re looking for more of the old NASCAR stuff. Big Iron Garage I think is what his shop is called, think Americarna was another one.
@@brandonenglund7516 I feel dumb, okay I'll have to look that up. I didn't even remember what video this comment was from exactly. The way RU-vid puts up replies to comments is kind of weird and I'm just getting used to it as I've been using it a lot lately. Anyways take it easy man
Don't sell yourself short...you may not be Jeff Gordon, but I've seen you drive at the Classic 24@Daytone (AWESOME 'Vette, by the way), and you're a pretty good wheelman yourself. As a long time crew chief myself, at the short track/regional touring series level, I know what you mean. It's a special feeling watching something YOU built go out there and wax the field. Keep it up, man. Big Iron Garage is AWESOME!!!
There's no Jeff Gordon without Ray E it wouldn't have happened and no change would be made some people are made to drive and others are made to lead and teach that is what makes a decent coach and coach's are the real GOATS and true goats teach and do at the same time
Not sure exactly when, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was around 2000-2003, when Rick Mast became the first driver to retire specifically due to long-term carbon-monoxide poisoning. Finally highlighted the seriousness of the issue. ?v=LXx8naKtoW8
