This side of Pac is what people need to hear to get the full picture. It's not like Pac came out and said, "yo, I'm a gangster," but he was sympathetic to every black man's plight. He did things in the hood on principal according to how he was raised, which kind of shielded him from the streets.
Goated interview!!! 2pac was national chairman of new afrikan panthers in 1989 at the age of 18 but we don’t discuss that conscious side of Pac enough.
That rap verse he spit for 2Pac to join the group was a hit home for today's issues. ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉 thank you Ray Luv for reciting 2 Pac's lyrics. Pac was much more than artist of music
Rappers like 2pac , Scarface, Nas , ice cube make timeless music When you can listen to a song that was recorded over 20 years ago and it’s still relevant now That’s what you call legend
Facts u said it ...When we can go bac and listen to song in from the past and feel at home again hit the mark right there. I think this was the best Holden Court for now.
It's funny how you commented on this some time ago. Just recently I saw Kevin Heart's podcast and he had Dr Dre on the show and it was whT music dose he considered timeless and he mentioned Nas,and Kendrick Lamar
Ray Luv is saying what Shock G been stressing for years.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Holdin Court thanks for having this black soldier on your platform. And that young woman is beautiful 🎉🎉🎉
This is a dope insight and proof of who Pac was way before the money fame and even first record. I'm glad Ray Luv pointed this out cause many ppl (I.e. Michael Jai White) look at that interview with Pac at 17 and draw conclusions that he was just a feminine kid, when really he was just a well spoken and articuate young man that was still going through real problems in the street, be it guns, drugs, family addictions, police brutality.
Pac definitely had feminine mannerisms in that video. However, people change due to circumstances and experiences and Michael Jai White came off as a hater in that interview.
@@michealwillis Naw Michael didn't come off has a hater at all. He told the truth and that was that. There was no hate or malice just honesty. Pac was fake and he gave reasons as to why he was. Now if you can't accept that then that's on you. Just stop being delusional
Pac had no problems in the street. He grew up poor but wasn't a street. Pac involved himself in the streets cause he was trying to portray a certain image.
Damn....all this time listening to Ray Luv music and this is the first interview ive ever seen of him. Court Dogg's platform ain't playin no games....much respects to both homies and your daughter mane...
Pac said it himself he's not a gangster but u don't have to be a gangster to be solid and that's what he was and u and him were friends u not only got a friend but a brother and Rida and that's rare to find
Always knew about the Marin City/ Santa Rosa connection with Pac and Ray Luv but never heard it from the first hand source. Legendary stuff!! Thank y'all sincerely for putting this in motion.
Went n got that Forever Hustlin album after hearing that All about my Fetti song on New Jersey Drive soundtrack.I was fkn with The Bay music already out in Okla but that was a good time to be young and finding artists new to you.Never lost a fan.
All Facts! I remember when Tupac and Ray Luv hung out with each every day. I also remember the tension between Santa Rosa and Marin City back in the day. I am looking forward to watching the entire interview. Good stuff my brother.
Thank you for this interview, Court. in my opinion there's not enough interviews with Ray out there, especially current ones. He's such an underrated figure from our region and I love how he articulates himself. I look forward to enjoying the other segments of this interview.
Ray Luv if you read this comment ...I'm 49 from Whittier California...My boys and me used to listen to your music alot back in the day....Excellent interview brotha thankyou for some more insight on Pac...Seems like yesterday man ✌️
@@415_Stand-up YOU FROM DA 415? YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOSELF, YOUNG BLACK BROTHA RECORDS WAS KHAYREE’S LABEL THAT PUT OUT BAY AREA CLASSICS, LIKE MAC DRE, MAC MALL, & RAY LUV “FOREVER HUSTLIN” 💯🤷🏿♂️
@@UncElroyDaKang and Khayree was a monster with the beats and production. Nothing sounded like Young Black Brotha Records. They need a documentary asap🙏🏽💯
If you watch the famous footage of 2pac spitting at the paparazzi, leaving court wearing the Detroit Red Wings jersey you can see one of the bodyguards is wearing a Young Black Brotha Records T Shirt.
Thank you Big Court for gettin Ray Luv on your podcast! Intelligent questions and reflecting answers of true artists, who have so much love for music. It's always a blessing to listen to the words of wise men that went through all periods of life.
Dam bruh. This world would be so different if the 🐐 was still here with us. He was just to real for this planet. He was for the people even though it's a few people of our race who continue to try to kill him when he was alive and still talk negative 27 years later since he been gone. Sickening. Rest up 🐐. You truly miss bruh 💯
"See a black man coolin' with a Mexican We can all have peace on the sets again Give a shout-out to my homies in the pen'" Pac coming from New York you know he at some point heard or knew about the Hebrew Israelite prophets out there. He always pushed Black and Brown power ✊🏿 last wordz ,po nigga blues, 2 live and die in LA , ect.
I'm glad someone finally spoke to it. All these folks questioning if Tupac was "real" dont understand at all... "there's a reason to die for her, right now. There's a reason to die for you, right now." That's revolutionary...
First Time I heard Ray Luv was on West Coast Bad Boyz vol 1, Born Hustlaz, my fav track on that compilation. I miss those 90's Master P compilation albums.
Ray Luv , Mac Mall & E40 held PAC down when he was in the Bay mane … Matter of fact ,PAC directed his first video for Mac Mall down in South Central LA for Ghetto Theme 🖖
Ray Luv what's good. If you see this miss that Pushing the Bay mane 🤘. That was what I used to spark up to back in the gap. Salute from Texas big homie.
The pac he talking about around this time is the same pac who took off on Orlando Anderson in Vegas. Just was different time and circumstances in Vegas.
No he didn’t he wrote the First and it was not for Tupac, it was just a verse and he threw it away and Tupac took out the trash read it and aks why he throwing it away and can he use it and the verse u her on the first half of Trapped RAY LUV never recorded
@jahmelsmith4761 EXACTLY. Tell the whole truth. He threw it in the TRASH. and 2pac kept the first verse that he wrote and he changed the last 2. That's how it went. He didn't write the first verse for 2pac and 2pac kept the rest. He threw it in the TRASH 🗑 2pac took it out the trash and kept the first changed the last 2. 2pac aint alive so these guys can change shit up to get their shine
@@HipHopReminder95 no he did not bro the maen said himself Tupac took the paper out the trash and ask why is he throwing it and ask to use it and it was just the 1st verse Tupac wrote the other two verses RAY LUV never recorded it this is not the 1st time he told this story and never recorded the recording and he didn’t write the hole song Much love to Ray Luv tho
Now, I understand why Ray Luv was at the Hollywood walk of fame for 2 Introduction. I never knew Ray Luv and how he played a role in his life🎉. Because I'm like damn Richie Rich has a bother. I never knew he played a role in Pac's 1st album.
Yea. Ray said this before. Also pac wrote alot of songs for Ray. When you're thar young and in a group. I can see that. They both can write on their own but I can understand. Jungle, nas brother wrote the first line in one mic
