Ray Porters voice brought these novels to life in such a way that Jacks words have the ability to punch me in the face, and the heart. And Ray has made a perfect series even better, If that was even possible!!

Narrators make a huge difference. Poor narrators can ruin an experience, even if it’s a great book, but good ones like Ray Porter make it much more enjoyable so it’s worth following the good ones.

The best example of this is Brotherhood of the Rose. Absolute worst narration I've encountered to date.

Ray Porter understands the difference between narration and voice acting. My least favorite audiobook narrators are the ones who get in the way by narrating like they're trying to win an Oscar.

I'm probably going to be murdered for this but that happened to me with Dave Grossman in On Killing. Dave is a genius and his content is awesome, but he read the book himself, and although I finished the book and tried to make the best of it, felt that having an actual professional doing the reading would've made the experience very different.

It would be cool to have Ray show up in the TV adaptation. An idea could be the senior NCIS agent. Probably too late, but would be awesome for audiobook listeners.

Ray Porter nailed your books...period! I am dyslectic and reading is slow so I like audio books and nobody comes close to Ray Porter. His mastery of accents, difficult languages, and diversity of voices is "off the chain". Thank you Ray Porter.

I was hooked on this series after seeing Jack on a posting from Black Rifle Coffee. So I had to start from the beginning and was hooked right away. Ray does such an amazing job that listening to other narrators doesn’t sound right. I’ve DL’d other audible booked just because they were narrated by Ray and haven’t been disappointed at all. Can’t wait for the next book after Devil’s Hand!

Powerful ... interesting. I am a book reader and after a ski patrol instructor class about 20 years ago - the instructor suggested exploring “other” modes to be better able to connect teaching material to students. Became an audible fan - Ray Porter is awesome in his Jack Carr characters. You WILL be hooked by both the books (hard copy) and the audible. Complex and complete. Thank you both for what you do for our entertainment.

First time I listened to Ray was Outlaw Platoon. After that I went on a kick of listening to books not because of what they were but because he was the voice. It was because of his reading the terminal list that it lead me to these books. So thankful for both of these men's work.

Ray Porter is who I search for when I don’t know what I want to read! When he brought up Jonathan Maberry I was so happy, I really enjoyed his performance of the Joe Ledger series I have the books and audio of those as well as the Jack Carr books and even when I read in my head I hear his voice, that’s how well he performed the books. I also just finished Project Hail Mary and I can’t recommend that enough.

It is amazing to watch these two people interact. It is so easy to see that they both really burn for what they do and are genuinely interested in what the other person is saying. I agree that Mr. Ray porter is one of the best, if not the best, narrator in the business. First time I heard his voice was when he was narrating the Don Winslow books “The Power of the dog” and then “The Cartel”. If you have finished all four James Reese books, then I highly recommend these books by Don Winslow as your next project. I wish you all the best …

I find the best way to read a book is to put headphones on and play some music that fits the scenes or tempo of the book. If I’m listening to something like say Mark Greaney I might listen to something from a Call of Duty soundtrack. If it’s something about the Cold War then maybe something from Tchaikovsky. To me that helps me get my mind right.
