You haven't ever seen all those socks laying in the gutter as you're driving down the road. Those are the ones that escaped and couldn't find their way home 🤣🤣🤣
The washing machine eats the socks and blames the dryer. . I worked in appliance repair and when we pulled apart washing machines, the remains of ground up socks would always be in there.
But he says "Now to prove my point, I bought 12 pairs of socks, you count em, that's 24! I put em in the dryer one at a time and I PERSONALLY closed the door. I stood right there till the cycle ended and when I opened up the hatch, all I could find was 13 socks and not a one of the darn things matched!!" He said DRYER. So in his specific case, your theory has been proven incorrect Either only the dryer eats them or they both do
You know he makes it perfectly good point where do they go you can start with 500 pairs of socks and only come back with 200 and where the socks go I don't know you take him out of the dryer and you count them in your life and you realize you don't have as many as you started with LOL great song play one of the greatest country comedians there are God bless Ray Stevens
A common occurrence when my parent's do the laundry is wondering where socks have gone. As mentioned in the song they'll cling to other clothes...sometimes when the clothes are being taken from the dryer a sock may fall back into the dryer unnoticed. I like the funky music...there's what I call a rubber band sound effect at certain points in the song...I'm assuming it's a synthesizer. Lee Roy Parnell is credited as a slide guitar player on the recording sessions of Ray's 1990 comedy album.
We all know it was the SOCK-A-SORE US. They don't have to get in the dryer to be eaten by the SOCK-A-SORE US. One shopping trip I thought I bought a set of 3 pair of little boy socks. When I took them out of the shopping bag, there were only 5 socks. The SOCK-A-SORE US shows up in many places, like gym lockers and suitcases. You'd think with those x-RAY machines at the airport, they could help keep track of a few socks.
It's true. I keep coming up short when I take them out of the dryer. Same with my sister's household and my niece. She has 4 children and they go thru socks like crazy.
If you have 12 pairs of socks that each match, how can you end up with 13 that are all different? Would there not be at least ONE matching pair? Unless some random unique sock was added to the mix... #newmath
