You earned my like for the great review, but you got my subscribe when you talked about sound quality. Any doubt about whether this video was sponsored or not was completely erased at 7:19. THANK YOU for an actual honest review! Such a rare thing on YT.
@@i_is_piano1941 I would hope a $250 pair of earbuds would sound better, but you must be comparing a different generation than I have because mine sound great. They're not studio wired quality, but as far as the earbuds I've tried in the price range, they are great. They definitely have better(more) bass than airpods which is why I'm so confused about these bad reviews.
@@shawnsnow6413 The airpods i have are currently $99.99 on amazon, and you won’t know the quality you’re missing til you’ve experienced actual good quality. I used to have a 20$ pair of wireless earbuds and thought they sounded great, but once i tried airpods it was a world of difference
Thanks for the review Ryan!! Much like you said, I have also seen a few of my YT channels do in person recommendations for these. I really do appreciate your non sponsored, thorough and honest review. You saved me from making a snap decision and buying a pair and you've gained a new subscriber. I'm okay with the corded headphones my iPhone 11 Pro came with (for now)...it just sucks when you have to charge the phone. ;-) Peace brother!!
Glad to hear it! I just posted a video yesterday actually about the oneplus Buds Z which I think are a much better value if you’re still looking for inexpensive wireless buds.
@@zokwandamayise1922 I really like them but at times it was a pain in the ass connecting them to my phone. But I found a little trick where they will connect right away. Imo not worth the $70 I paid. I give them maybe a 7/10
@@NathanielC239 pretty decent then. I use super budget Skullcandys, but they reach all the frequencies and the base isn't loose. Would you say that they would be an upgrade for someone like me? Btw my earphones sound really good to me so don't bash🤣
Just watched this video after receiving my pair of Raycons and first I will say is awesome review, but I think they must have made some changes since this video was made. I tried sticking the earbuds to the outside of the case and couldn't do it, lol, but the audio quality isn't bad at all. There are 3 different audio profiles and all of them sound great. What does suck is pushing them into your ear to press the button, but I do like that better than touch controls. Your pinch method is just as awkward, but I've been pressing the button near the top of my ear to avoid shoving it into my ear canal. Again, great review but I'd be interested to see what exactly they changed since then.
@@alicZd I would say that they are. I've been using them pretty regularly for a few hours most days and they have done the job quite well. I've owned a lot of cheap knockoff Bluetooth earbuds and these are definitely better than any of that.
I just got a pair today and I’m really confused why both reviews I’ve seen are saying the sound quality is terrible. Mine seem to sound pretty good to me. I have the e25s. I really just got on RU-vid to learn all the intricacies of them and this and another review popped up so I watched them and both said they sound awful. All I can say is mine sound good. Maybe not great but definitely good and way better than my wired Sony head phones I had before
I hate to prove you wrong but the audio quality is measurably terrible with so much bass that it totally overpowers the mids and highs ruining the song
This might not have been the case a year ago, but they do have awareness mode so you can hear your surroundings. Also, the sound quality is pretty good, i have seen 2 reviews saying it’s terrible, but both was over a year ago, so it must have changed. Love the review! Great to hear other peoples opinions on these, i love the earbuds and i will be using them every day!
$20 earbuds actually sounds pretty decent these days. The better sound is probably FAR better. The awareness mode they do have is pretty hit and miss... It really depends on the voice of the person you're trying to hear whether you'll be able to hear them or not.
I love my everyday earbuds but one complaint: I can’t flick em open with one hand, I have to sue both. BUT, I’ve seen all my friends AirPods and AirPods Pro cases just open and an earbud fall out😂 so I guess it’s actually a really good thing. I’m glad that the magnetic hold is strong.
Im glad I watched this video and you went straight in on to the review. No intro or nothin. What turned me off the most is, the moment you said the bass was weak, I said NOPE. Not buying those. The kinds of music I listen to, sounds better with bass. Sound quality is very important to me. I find it very strange that I have bought a pair of wired headphones from family dollar for $5 dollars but the sound quality was excellent but my Beats by Dre wireless headphones, have weak bass and sound quality. Which I paid close to $300 at the time when the Beats was still new product before he sold it to another company and the rest is history. Yeah, so thank you for going straight to the point and you made sure you didn't leave nothing out.
i honestly find them fine for casual use like music. i think what makes people think they suck is because they have gotten used to the higher quality of other earbuds and think that they have to sound amazing to function well. ive never used anything like airpods so i find them pretty well sounding. I guess it depends on the person really
The bass profile when you analyse the frequencies is extremely high actually. In fact many complained the original ones were to bassy so the new pro E25’s have a more balanced sound.
For people like me who aren't snobby audiophiles with more money than sense, I am quite impressed with these earbuds. Music on my iPhone sounds fuller than the previous earbuds I had, and has also replaced the earbuds I previously used on my Switch. I've heard people say Raycons are overrated, but it's pretty damn good for $80.
the galaxy buds+ or even the galaxy buds2 can often be found for just a bit more, or even the same price on amazon, and they are going to be ridiculously good compared to raycons, with actual premium sound quality, and with the buds2, active noise cancelling. and "snobby audiophiles" aren't going to be buying airpods, or galaxy buds, or anything like that. for a similar price (maybe 20-30$ more, or if you don't mind getting the international versions with a more limited warranty you can get them for the same price), galaxy buds are going to be insanely good in comparison, and value. it's really something that you just can't truly see/hear until you've actually tried a set of quality earbuds.
I remember watched my favorite RU-vidr sponsored raycon yet whenever he videocalled people he never used that premium raycon, so I began to wonder why and how. Thanks for the review!
I was constantly losing my case and finally lost a bud recently, so just reordered. I’m partially deaf and only use one in my good ear while I work, so I guess all quality seems the same.
i saw you're video and i was like "this is porperly just one of those big youtube channels with like over a million subs" and i was really shocked to see that you only had 1.500 subs BTW my english is not that good cuz' i'm from denmark. But keep up the good work
I'm only responding because you said that you don't think your English is good. The only things I saw that if I was being a grammar nazi I would mention is the following: Properly not properly. Because or 'cause instead of cuz' (where I live "cuz" is often used as "cousin" and then also towards friends that are very close, like they are your cousin). A few lowercase letters where uppercase should be, and some uppercase where it should be lowercase. I've personally seen more mistakes from people correcting other people on their grammar. The fact that you're native tongue is not English, you should be very proud of your English skills, especially considering it's just a you tube comment section. Your English is exceptional! I have heard that English is even harder to learn for foreigners than even Japanese. I only speak English so I wouldn't know but with the same word and different spellings like there, their and they're or two, to and too, as well as all different rules for spelling like "i before e except after c" I could imagine it would be very confusing and difficult to learn. May I ask how long you have been studying English for? If you are still studying, you really hould praise your teacher!
This was helpful to me. I am that podcast listener - I am strapped for cash an don't listen to much music so sound quality is whatever. This review helped me feel more confident to try out raycon. Thanks!
I couldnt agree more. I was using E25's for like 2 years and they were fantastic, lost them, and bought these. Cool case, amazing fit, terrible audio. Sad that newer ones are worse
right? i feel like my old raycons sound way better than my new ones.. i just bought my new ones and im so so disappointed. they sound absolutely terrible and its so sad im thinking honestly of returning them, but not sure if ill be able to since i dont have the box they came in because i was traveling at the time and had to leave the box to save space. edit: the raycons have 3 different sound profiles and they all sound terrible except for the "bass sound" profile. the bass one is actually listenable and not bad, i've decided im going to keep them and not return them because my old raycons are so old they are falling apart quite literally (the case is split in half and some other stuff thats hard to explain). i also really like the new case and "awareness mode", aswell as the charger that came with it since i lost the original charger for my old raycons and have been using some old usb charger my grandma gave me. i think its pretty dumb that it has a notch for tying it on stuff like your backpack because it just makes it easy to break since it's exposed, and easy to get stolen. all in all its an alright product and honestly my old raycons sound better but ill use the new ones cause they're not that bad
I have Soundcore life dot 2's and Skullcandy Indy evo's. These raycons are more comfortable and cancel noise by way of a perfect fit. They aren't tinny to my ears and I am also impressed with the bass response, so I have no idea where that's coming from.
Yeah... now if they could stop trying to advertise on half the channels I watch.... Gus Johnson Eddy Burbank Ryan George VFX Artists React The list goes on...
I bought these and at first they were amazing. But after a month one of the buds wasn’t as loud as the other I swapped to skull candy and have had them for months and preform much better
Had that happen, easy fix clean your buds >_> and i mean, deep clean. replace the little circle net if you have any spares, i keep some just for this, they get disgusting and dont work right after a few weeks unless you deep clean em. as bad as the sound quality is, they'll last forever and keep making sound if you take care of em. literally got mine ran over, stepped on, kicked, submerged, and otherwise beaten and they work fine. wont buy them again, theyve got walmart sound, but not something i regret either
Dude. Thank you. Was close to buying Raycon Fitness buds after my Pixel Bud Pros kept falling out of ears on subway. Appreciate the save. Still need to find a pair that fit :(
Appreciated the comprehensive review. A couple of points. I've just ordered my second pair of these. Raycon has frequent sales and each of my two pair have cost under $50.00. I listen to music, podcasts and phone calls while on long walks. I love music to me the audio on Raycon is much more positive. I find the sound very listenable and I don't want a tremendous amount of bass (personal reasons) so these fit my profile perfectly. They are exceedingly comfortable and at the discounted price I am more than satisfied.
really? i just reeceived mine and i am EXTREMELY disappointed by the sound quality. i have never had any earphones with worse sound quality than this. they are extremely tinny.
The bass is great for me whenever I activate the bass option. And also if you hold the button for the right, there’s noise canceling and environment awareness.
Great Review! I received my E25s today. Been trying them out now for 5 hours. Great functionality. Sound quality not so much. My $20 Sony wired ear buds sound MUCH better. Going to send them back.
Thank you for being honest. I have enough of those paid reviews from 90% of youtubers, some of them prising product because they been paid to do this, some do that just because they got free product. The youtube is flooded with those reviews...and im talking about top reviewers who are saying their review is unbiased, which is a joke. I have exactly same opinion about those earbuds, unfortunately they aren't good at all. I just found another nice earbuds "Donner Dobuds ONE" they aren't without flaws, but they sound phenomenal, especially for the price is just a killer. Would be great to hear your opinion about them. You earned another subscriber. Thank you
Another upside of the button is that you can control them right through a hood or scarf, or even using your knuckles, say, for when your hands are wet. Downside: a tight scarf or hood will work them out of your ears over time.
I don‘t know why people complain about them. I got them a few days ago and i really like them. They are a good fit and the sound quality is good as well.
6:27 The most important part for me is the sound quality and the basic axim of life (although not strictly always!) Is 'You get what you pay for) and I am not surprised that the first descriptive words out of the gate was 'Sh*t*ty) Thank you. took 6 and a half minutes to get there but so glad once at this point in the Vid you just said it as it was (in your experience and also expectation) Just a 'do over' of a cheap brand knocking them out at half the price but without the hype ( allegedly) gotta keep those Raycon lawyers happy (or not!)
Touch controls work just fine. Just depends on the earbud you're talking about. Allot cheap no name earbuds have touch controls that are too sensitive or just don't work right. But name brands usually have touch controls that work fine. My Panasonic and JBL earbuds have good touch controls. They register my commands properly 95% of the time.
Was VERY happy o learn they have buttons I lost one of my JBL Tune 120TWS earbuds (the left one-so I can still use the right one...if you lose the right one you're screwed) Not happy to hear about the sound quality
They must have changed the way they are made because the case has a little nitch for you finger to grip, now it still doesn't stay open super well, and the sound quality has improved quite a bit and I love the bass (I'm a bass head) and I don't hear the ticking you described
Doin some research cause I’m finally deciding to invest in a pair of wireless earbuds. I was almost sold on the comfort thing, but I’m glad I watched the whole video! 😅😅😅
He said that it felt like when you put something in your ear, of course it's going to be a bit muffled, that doesn't mean it's completely noise cancelling.
Bass is amazing with bass mode, even while riding my 1800cc bike over 60mph during a windy day, with a cut helmet, it was wonderful. Idk what youre talking about "bad quality". Maybe at the time of your review, they didnt have the bass mode.
To your comments about not realizing your AirPods weren’t charging. Did you know if you have the battery widget on your iPhone it’ll show you the battery level on the case and tell you if it’s charging? You can also tell if the AirPods are in the case properly because the icon for each airpod will disappear when it’s in the case.
Maybe I have a newer version but the sound quality is way better than my kingston hyperx cloud bluetooth, which was about $250 and they are cup over the ear style. I agree with everything you said except the sound quality imo is 9/10
I'm gonna use these for listening to books at work, so these are pretty much perfect for me sounds like. I just need volume for listening to frodo otw to Mordor and samwise hating on shady ass gollum
Hi, I'm your new follower from Brazil and I just love your channel. Your reviews are good, you can speak directly and you can bring a lot of information about the product. I know your channel is new so keep working on it, I see you very big in the future! Good luck!
So continue with my $20 earbuds. Those things were actually amazing for the price. I don't know the company cause I need new ones but they lasted a year or two with LOTS of abuse like I accidentally broke the case lid than we acted as it was a bomb at one point and it took a LOOOOOONG time for them to break and even than the left one broke and the right one still lasted a long time by itself. I'll reply to this with the name of I can find them cause those are good for the price. The audio is not bad it's normalish it has no problems or anything with levels of decimals but it's not anything out of the ordinary. Battery life was just YES especially for only $20.
I’m gonna have to say about the Raycons is that they’re actually a lot better then they were the time this was made so don’t feel like you shouldn’t try them.
I bought a pair of skullcandy wireless earbuds, they were $30, they didn't advertise good sound quality, and the sound quality in my opinion is about the same if not slightly better than the raycons. (I don't own raycons but have used them). Raycons are definitely not worth the price when there's competitors that are just as good for waaay cheaper. Definitely seems like a big scam to me. For anyone wondering the skullcandy ones have a battery life of about 5 hours in practice (although they advertise 6), you can use just 1, the button on them SUCKS, and the case opens more and doesn't have the sharp bit on the edge of the case like the conrays do. I don't use them much anyway, I prefer the neckband type earbuds - cheaper - better sound quality - longer battery life. TL;DR In my opinion they're $20 headphones with $60 markup because they have deep enough pockets to sponsor everybody and their great aunt and get celebrities onboard. There are much better ear buds for way cheaper if you don't mind a cable, and there are equal quality true wireless earbuds for half the price.
I bought 2 different pairs from raycon The everyday and the work buds. The everyday works fine for listening at work they do have an EQ and active noise canceling and the surrounding mode I can hear if someone talks to me, Qi chargeing, battery life is good gets me through the day and they comfortable, but when bike riding they not that good. The work buds have great battery life ALL day + most of the night! They have the same built EQ and surrounding awareness mode, and they have several mics and are great for calling 📞 they downside is the touch features on the side or the bud could be less sensitive Other than that with the discounts you get they are great for the price $60-90
I thought the sound quality was really bad at first until I realized that you’re supposed to turn them up towards your face slightly when you put them in your ear. After I did that, the bass and sound was MUCH better. I think it’s weird that you have to twist them up but it’s whatever I guess. They’re definitely not the best, and it definitely sounds bad if you don’t twist them, but still not bad compared to others on the market. Good review though. Very helpful
@@TechSpaceCowboy yeah good point lol. Aside from the sound shit, idk if it’s just my pair but they do this thing where they like skip? Or just randomly cut out even if my device is in my hands. Plus the left one always dies like 10 minutes before the right side even if they were charged the same time or even over night. Drives me crazy. But yeah they’re definitely not even close to the best thing. Doable sure but honestly I wish I would’ve just invested in the air pod pros
Got e25’s on sale for $64. For me personally they work perfectly. Im not a sound buff so that’s not a big deal for me and the feel is perfect for me. I also don’t mind the cheap feel I actually like it in a way. Plus if they break it’s fairly cheap so 🤷
Or you could have spent $10 and got the same results, minus let's say, wireless charging. Look and Soundcore products for example, you get ANC on them for around $50, and amazing sound quality. These are a scam product.
I believe they changed them.. the controls are press right ear button once turns the volume up, left one press volume down, double press to skip or reverse, hold right for noise cancelation hold left to change sound profile normal, bass heavy, perfect audio. Bass is almost too much. To be fair I think you should review the new ones. They Are also more water resistant it's 6 whatever rating instead of 4.
Mine work great during the day but even at full charge turn off during the night I like to listen to audiobooks to help me sleep but after 6 hours they stop working. Am I damaging the earbud by sleeping on my side?
I’ve recently bought these and as for the pressing of the button, it isn’t uncomfortable nor does it hurt for me and it doesn’t push into my ear so I would say that depends on the person’s ear shape
if anyone is looking for cheap earbuds i’d recommend onn in ones. they’re not top of the like or insanely high quality but they have a really long play time and have surprisingly good sound for something you can get at walmart for like 7$. they’re also pretty durable, so you don’t have to worry about replacing them a ton
I watched your video while wearing them.... Idk what your talking about on the quality. Are you using and iphone? I'm using and s10 and the sound adjustment is key. Airpod pro to me suck ass when compared to the adjustment on raycon
Thanks for the review! I think I'll still consider them as airpods hurt my ears (I think because of the lack of variety of size and shape) so I don't have many options
I just ordered a pair cause I dont care much about sound quality because I mostly listen to podcasts and im sure I can bear the bad sound quality if I do listen to music.
I have some wireless earbuds that show you exactly the percentage of the battery case and it tells ypu how much battery the left and right earbuds have
I’ve had a pair for a year not, case is broken at the hinge, one of the earbuds are broken at the seam, they don’t always charge for me and are easy to lose,
Hey man, I would say you have some valid points about the sound quality, however their is an awareness mode, if you hold the button for like 3 seconds. That being said I agree the sound isn’t the best. Even with the 3 Mode changes it’s not as good as I thought that way. I think i listen to a lot of metal music so their good for that on most parts, certain frequencies I also find unpleasant
The sound quality is good. I have a pair plus you can hold down the left button for about 2 seconds and it changes sound modes. I use the bass sound the bass is sooo good
