Her recent Royal Albert hall performance just cemented her place in history along side the very best names in the craft, it will be talked about in the same reverence as the Nina Simone's etc of this world without question in years to come and the icing on the cake is she did it on an independent vibe, maximum respect from this music fan.🔥😎👌
Great move of Jools to invite RAYE to his Hootenanny 2023. This was a unique performance of this song in a totally different style compared to the original, which shows here skills of bringing a suitable performance wherever she goes. Another unique performance was in the Royal Albert Hall with The Heritage Orchestra. She is just 26 and I hope that she has a great career ahead of her!
Wow. RAYE. That was something else. What an exceptionally talented young lady. Outstanding performance and absolutely love her new ‘take’ on what was already such an amazing song 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Brilliant. Best show in AGES.
Amy Winehouse literally started a new conveyor belt for the music industry to try and reproduce, she inspired a whole range of things, fashion, music - jazz instrumentals and london realistic lyrics, vocal style, performance style. It's crazy, she only had two albums but shifted it all.
How the pianist is admiring her. She´s a real GODESS. I´m watching this performance on loop atm cause it´s insanely good. Have´nt seen anything like this in a long time. I love her so much. This song, every lyric of it goes right into my heart and it hurts just like a year ago when I first heard it. The depression is trying to kill me, but I know I´m stronger. Thank you for your music RAYE. Sometimes it´s keeping me alive and killing me at the same time. Your wounds are healing mine. And I deeply want to thank you for that. If you´re really 26 than I´m even more amazed. Because I´m also 26 and love to sing and went through hell and back. But I never believed that I really could sing because I´m such a perfectionist just like everyone in my family. So I only sang alone. Only now I´m trying to show my voice to people that want to hear it and really listen to thw worlds I´m saying. Noone really listens in this world. But I hear you. Thank you, again.
Love that this is so much happier than the original version. The darkest line - there's been some dark days lately and I'm finding it crippling - has been cut out and replaced by a joyful piano solo. I hope RAYE is also much happier after an amazing breakthrough year!
That was beautiful but at the same time sad and nostalgic as well. This music, this attitude, this carefree during the performance. Every time a new version of the song, a song that even though it explodes on tiktok it's not shit… that’s why I love Raye
Absolutely love this girl. Raye you are amazing and have such a beautiful voice. I’ve been listening to your music about 6 years on RU-vid and I knew you was special back then. You deserve everything you want in life x
Watched jools Holland hootenanny at new year their 2024 blown away with r.a.y.e. performance then to read about her past WOW is the biggest understatement of the century I'll let her song's speak. 😮😢❤❤❤❤
There you are! Good old BBC live Lounge to show a more accurate story and the roots of an artist and how they feel in a song. Well what a song with your heart singing out. Well done for showing your true self and how you feel in a song. I have never heard of you until the Brits! but well done. A great song and beautifully sung out and how things are experienced but i hope not by yourself. Such an informative song. Had to reverse engineer the song through your various releases but came back to this one. This is you completely you at your best and explaining.. Keep this up please.
