A heart no that interview seemed very stagnant, from passing a corridor at an early age at church and hearing her sing for the first time. My first thought was she sounded better than Beyoncé. But I hope she can still achieve great things if her intentions are true and it’s not just about paper. These artists that get pushed into the industry as teenagers don’t really get much else in terms of normal life experience. Let alone having a story of “made it from the bottom now we here” like Adele ahaha now that’s the ghetto, not to diminish her light

Raye's '21st Century Blues' is a masterpiece - I am so proud of her and every chance I get, I listen to the album fully through and I feel empowered by Raye's integrity, the lyrics on each track and she has one of the most beautiful voices I have ever listened to. Wonderfully done :)

@RAYEofficial when putting out ice cream man, you said you wrote that years ago… did you release it as it was written or did you chop and change ?

@@Scortch-bonnitli7yg she changed parts, after writing it she was SA again after. So she wrote it at 19, then rewrote it. She said it in an interview and I also Believe it’s in Genius website for ice cream man

In that same interview I just watched she stated that she wrote that piece based on statistics and danced around the topic of her own experiences with assault and sexual violence without stating if she is making up “stories” like someone crying wolf or writing from a perspective to shed light on a topic she “feels” passionate about
