In this series, Rayman 2: The Great Escape will be played in an ultrawide (21:9) full HD resolution. All 1000 lums and all 80 cages will be collected during the walkthrough (100%).
Rayman 2: The Great Escape was released in 1999 as the Rayman series' first 3D game. The game revolves around the Glade of Dreams being invaded by Robo-Pirates, led by Admiral Razorbeard. The invaders have previously destroyed over a hundred planets and the aim is now to imprison and enslave the inhabitants of the Glade of Dreams. The Primordial Core, the source whose energy sustains the balance of the Glade of Dreams, exploded and split into 1000 Yellow Lums after some battles, causing fighters, including Rayman, to get captured. Globox gets captured by the Robo-Pirates and reunites with Rayman aboard the prison ship the Buccaneer. Globox grabs a Silver Lum, that he had received from Ly the fairy, from his stomach and gives it to Rayman. The Silver Lum gives Rayman the ability to shoot with his fist. Rayman uses his retrieved powers to escape together with Globox. Rayman and Globox gets separated during the escape. Rayman goes on an adventure to regain his powers and save the Glade of Dreams from the Admiral Razorbeard and his soldiers.
