It took me 8 months to make this | Rayman 3 Fan Remake Unreal Engine reveal Gameplay 

This looks INCREDIBLY polished 🤯You can really feel all the heart and work that went into this!

This is how I visioned Rayman 3 when I played it back then.

ubisoft please hire this guy for a remake, i'll instant buy your game

holy HECK, this is GORGEOUS! rayman 3 is one of my favourite games of all time, so glad to see it getting the love it deserves ❤️ these environments are absolutely beautiful! and I adore how much more expressive the characters are!

I've seen so many fan builds that _feel_ like a fan build. But THIS? This is the closest fan build I've ever seen that escapes the fan build feeling and translates into looking like a finished, legit product.

The only thing that isn't perfect about this is the camera system. For everything else? This is the best Unreal fan remake I've ever seen. It truly stays faithful to the feel of the original, while making everything gorgeous and modern.

I thought this was gonna be like those Mario or Sonic videos from back in the day with empty fields but no, the cutscenes, enemies, absolutely everything finished and playable. Amazing!

This is absolutely wonderful to see as a lifelong Rayman fan. Can’t wait to see where else this project goes, incredible work!!

I only watched the first 20 seconds of the video and I can"t believe it. Rayman 3 is my favourite childhood game and seeing it with those graphics, it's just unreal (no pun intended ^^'). The punching is perfect!! It always bugged me that Rayman’s model didn’t change to reflect his thrown fists. It makes such a difference.

Dude I just stared and smiled at my monitor, had to pause 3 seconds in to take in the realization that this IS real, and I'm about to be blown away. Minutes in, dude. Y'all absolutely nailed the lighting for me. The colors all have SO much more clarity without cluttering the screen with "pretty graphics noise", a criticism I have of some ambitious games. Subbed and excited to see more from this awesome crew!

You made me mesmerized by this Fairy council. I am already scared of how scary might be the desert of the Knaaren in Unreal Engine. Either way, you got a subscriber.

The Plot, Story, Gameplay, Ambience, and most important, the ethos; everything is well executed.

This not only looks fantastic it actually stylized and thought went into it. There's balance. There's an art style. Typically you just see people rely on the engine to make it look "high def" but the lighting is always jank, the colors are over saturated, the animations are typically more jank than the original game, and there's little cohesion (some assets are stylized while others are pure realism so it clashes). This is the perfect example of a fan remake. Not to throw shade but the first comparison I come to is the remake of Ocarina of Time that the CryZen guy has been working on and while it's "impressive" it lacks the seamlessness and attention to detail that this has. Great job.

The recommended tab blessed me again, this time with this video. I'm a diehard Rayman 3 fan and seeing a fan remake of it makes me really excited! For a WIP of it, this looks extremely well done! Obviously everything here isn't final but I'm sure it can be tweaked later on. Excited to see further progress on it. :D

holy shit! you managed to modernise it without it being too obnoxious which is an incredibly hard thing to do, most remakes look so cheesy but this looks well polished! the lighting is well placed and thought out, and it doesn't feel too distant from the original game, huge kudos for that! the only thing left i'd say is probably remixing or mastering the sound design, but i'm not sure how you would achieve that (if you haven't done so already, i've noticed a few sounds are)!

My man. I've seen hundreds of fan remakes and yours is amongst the most impressive. You have faithfully recreated the original game while enhancing the visuals x1000. I am as much baffled by the quality of the textures and the coherent world than your talent to recreating animations. I hope this gets released..

This looks drop dead GORGEOUS!!! If you don't already, i really hope this project scores you a position at a big name game studio. There are so many little details that enhance the originals ideas. Like the little eye ball in the tree tunnels actually having geometry instead of being a flat texture. So much work went into this it's insane!

This is truly remarkable! A perfect mix between the original art style and more refined graphics. You handled the colours, lighting and reflections incredibly well too( that wind up punch animation is satisfying af btw) You should be proud Mark, this is on par with the Spyro Trilogy remakes in terms of graphical quality!

When Ubisoft brought back Rayman, THIS is what I wanted. This style. This aesthetic. Hoodlum Havoc was honestly one of the best Rayman games.

This is so sooo amazing. Rayman 3 was THE best game from my childhood. I'm nearing my 30s now and I have only 2 physical disc PC games left: Rayman 3 and Happy Potter Quidditch. Rayman 3 used to come on 3 discs too, ah the glory days. I got it for "Sinterklaas" (a Dutch celebration) and back then it was common to write a short fun poem with a gift and I even still have that original piece of paper in the box because of the sentimental value it has for me. I wish you all the best of luck progressing this master piece and hopefully one day it will be in a playable state for us fans to enjoy.

Wow, cool animation! I will never understand the gaming journalism that consigned Rayman 3 to oblivion. The game was criticized for stupid jokes (in my opinion, many of them were on point, and in general, the text was never Rayman's strong point) and not the best final boss (I agree here). But in my opinion, Rayman 3 was never a failure, not even worse than the second part. A gorgeous 7-hour soundtrack, amazing gameplay, gorgeous graphics and animations for a game from 2003. It's a shame that Ubisoft themselves did not realize what a gem they created.

I hope you continue work on this. I wish we had a full Rayman 3 remake

This is gonna blow up, ideally you should start a kickstarter or something, which would allow you to get paid for all the hours you’re spending on this. If it does well you can even pay other people to help out. And then boom you have a game dev company, and income creating something close to your heart

Watched the video to the end. You did a great job of bringing my childhood game to life! But, if you allow me, there are a couple of moments that caught my eye. 1) The moment when Globax jumped out of the barrel - it collapsed in a very strange way and seemed to just disappear. Considering how much you care about the details, this is a little noticeable. 2) Globax's back. This white color looks a little strange, considering that Globax's entire body is blue (except for his stomach and chest). Otherwise, I definitely have no complaints. Everything looks amazing!

Oh my gosh, it looks amazing. Rayman 3 was such a big part of my childhood. I remember enjoying it so many times. I can't wait for this to come out.

Beautiful environments! I love the combination of old and new animations. If I may give you one advice, please try to make the camera less stiffly stuck to Rayman. Give it some will or a rubber band effect, because the current rapid movements can quickly cause an eye strain.

You know a game was important to your childhood when hearing the music and sounds gave you chills. Man, I miss the old gamecube era, such a blast... I will keep hoping that games from this era finally get the attention they deserve. I'll just say the french dub is way better but I'm completely biased x) Good luck on the project, it looks amazing !

This looks amazing! The only things that need some more work are the camera (which is a bit jumpy), the coherence of some 3D meshes with the level geometry (some elements like plants look very dark or too bright in comparison) and this version seems to miss the more cartoony, dreamy colorful lighting of the original (it's missing an overall blue hue in this particular setting). But all in all this looks VERY promising. Keep up the good work!

Looks amazing! I hope you'll keep it up and release a demo of the remake even if it isn't completely polished just for exploration purposes.

While this is obviously gorgeous, and is, as many have already commented upon, worthy of praises, i feel that it can be even better when it comes to the atmosphere. Indeed, the color palette felt a bit "grey" as compared to the original game, which provided sceneries drenched in fantasy colors dominated by blue, purple and red. The colors you used (for the "outdoor" parts of the level) felt more realistic, but also less magical. On the other, the fact that the windows are actually transparent and offer some view is amazing. I am really curious as how this project will unfold.

Hey this is looking really awesome, the new assets and shading are insanely good looking!! If i were you i'd try to lower the intensity of the depth of field and motion blur tho, makes it look a bit too blurry lolol And i really recommend giving the characters some rim lighting (Kinda like TF2), i think it would add a lot to the visual presentation of the game and would help the characters not get lost on the background!! You are doing an amazing job so far, hope to see more of this project!!!

Craziness. I'm such a fan of Rayman 3 that this result absolutely blows me away. I would buy it as a remake in a heartbeat. And a good reason to (finally) start developing with the Unreal Engine. What would of course be even more brilliant if you made one or two levels of Rayman 4 as it was originally intended (which was unfortunately ruined in Raving Rabids). In any case, my huge respect for this post, I will look forward to watching your making off

Fantastic work thus far! The added details make you want to explore every corner of the levels. The lighting and texture work add weight and life to the environments! The Hoodlums look incredible.. I was surprised to see the seamless transition into the Fairy council. I'm not sure if you'll keep this in, but it made the world feel connected! My only critique at the moment is to do with Rayman's punch-attacks: The charge up, and quick attacks feel slow, they also feel dull in tone. I'm wondering if you can brighten the streaks of color as Rayman's hands go through the air, making it feel more "flashy" and magical?
