And one without rabbits. I can remember as a kid loving rayman3 so much and then getting very disturbed and confused about the rabbits. Only one I played afterward was Origins, but I kinda prefer the old blocky 3d rayman
I think Ramen 3: certified hood classic had a very good understanding of surreal dream like locations, more so than most games. your surrounded by phantasy creatures and impossible structures, with texture that's almost paint like. but I think it comes together with how convincing it all is, this feels like a real believable location with how it all comes together and not just a bunch of crazy absurd stuff squished together to make a haphazardly fake world. Rayman understands the real, in the surreal
Genuinely believe that if Ubi wanted to, they could make an amazing 3d rayman 4. Its just the company big guys are piss scared to take risks like rayman seriously in 2021
@@tommivirtanen1638 The sad part is that the gaming industry almost woke up from this risk-avoidance from the big companies, then they started monetizing every game and making them all live-service so at least a couple players would still invest hundreds on their game.
yeah seriously, some of the best pieces are in scenes that are over in like a minute or two. didn't even hear half of the piece before moving on. Although, that does make listening to the original soundtrack that much more interesting.

Thank you so much for making these. Rayman 3 is truly a game close to my heart - played it so much throughout my childhood...funny thing is, as a kid, I always played this when I was sick. When I would finish the game again, my sickness would be over. As if it was a feel good journey everytime I felt bad for being sick. And everytime I would chill and stand somewhere, listen to the background music. Especially in the Bog of Murk, the environment and ambience...like at 11:40 is such a good moment of bliss. thanks again for making these, gonna relax in bed and listen to these in the evening.
Ahh... remembering that i was stuck at the first bossfight for 3 months 🤣🤣🤣 Only to get stuck at the first level of the desert of the knaaren for a year I was 8 when i got stuck at the desert
Only if they remastered this for the newer consoles. Like not even mess with its campaign or soundtrack, just update the graphics so its more realistic looking. It would make the games atmosphere look much more alive! This will always be one of my favorite childhood games, something so nostalgic about it.
in the wrecking ball theme, the instrumentation of the wispier section of the theme remind's me of the moskito from rayman 1. I guess the thing in common of that they use motifs from Flight of the Bumbleebee
Mediocre game. Ratchet & Clank was already out. The creativity was there, but camera sucks, the most boss fights too. This is great for if it came out in 2000. But it was actually released in 2003.
Although the colour pallete was awesome on most levels I have to admit. And oh man, those funkyboard surf LSD levels.... Maybe I'm getting too strict with this one. It is because I first fell in love with the original 1995 Rayman when I was a kid. I never really loved the 3D version of Rayman. Had to wait until Rayman Origins.
Rayman 3 was more about the adventure, less about well-designed game mechanics. Still though, I think they got the balance right when it comes to the quite simple combat mechanics and platforming that imo delivers a memorable experience, especially as a kid.
