Rayman Legends Wii U Demo - Gameplay Footage

Day 1 purchase for me! Here is a video of me going through the Rayman Legends demo that just released on the Wii U eshop. This game plays great with the Wii U gamepad and looks gorgeous. I would really recommend watching this video in 1080p. Also the last level shown in this video is amazing.

I believe it is. The game looks smoother than what it looks like in this video. Since youtube videos only display at 30fps.

Excellent how clean your 1080p video looks. Gives me a perfect idea of what to expect! Will be downloading this demo Christmas morning since the wife says I can't have the wii u till then haha

looks gorgeous, gaming should go back to the platforming days. with the graphics these days it would be soo amazing. to see crash bandicoot, spyro, banjo kazooie, sonic experience these graphics.

I was controlling Murray but if you turn on another controller, you can play as the other character. In the demo, you play up to 5 players, with one of the players controlling Murray on the gamepad.

They announced today that they created 30 extra levels and some new bosses. It's not the Creators of the games fault it was delayed, they were upset too, at least they're still adding content to the game.

I read a review with one of the developers and you're right, the game was basically done. I agree that it is cool to release it on multi-platforms but the Wii U version should not have been delayed until September. That is really not cool. Everyone was waiting for "Rayman Legends" and "Pikmin 3.

the Toad Story level is soo good... so relaxing that it reminds me of Rayman 2 and Rayman 1... they really came back to the series :)

At that point you control Murphy. But if you have two controllers, the second player can controller the other character. I'm not sure if it will be like this in the final game.

Oh but it looks way better playing it in person. Since youtube plays videos at 30 frames per second, it will look even better on your TV.

Rayman did speak in all versions of Rayman 2. Granted, in most versions he spoke utter gibberish, but he did speak. The PS2 version translated that gibberish into an intelligible language.

Well I used a HD PVR 2 to record the footage. Then I edited the video in Adobe Premier.

Ubisoft basically screwed Wii U owners by delaying this incredible game until September so it can now me a multi-platform release; to be released on PS3 and Xbox 360 as well. A former Wii U exclusive says goodbye to a 1st quarter release and hello to a multi-platform September release. Wow.

I love the idea of the music levels. I loved the chest levels but it was annoying cus sometimes I would slow down for like a second and then realized like ten 10 seconds later that there I was gonna die cus I slowed down. The music is helpful cus you will know that your going to slow. Plus it just gets you in the groove better

Because it's now multiplatform and Microsoft insist that Rayman Legends be released on the same day on all platforms. Microsoft/Xbox 360 are to blame for the delay in the release of the Wii U version.

If it's one player, you can only control Murphy (although the AI is VERY well done and not stupid at all), but with two, or more players you can control both.

Why though, its not even exclusive to Wii U. Nintendo is just advertising it like that, by making sure all the footage comes from the Wii U version.

I'm really mad, not because it's coming out on other consoles, (everyone can experience this great game) but that they delayed the Wii U release to September when the game was set to come out in about two weeks! It's probably done! Why delay it when it's ready?

Giving content that wasn't originally in the game for free because of the delay is considered compensation. Anyway this is in Xbox Live content policy "Microsoft's third party guidelines dictate that all games released on the Xbox 360 must launch "at least simultaneously" with other systems and must have "at least" the same features and content. It reserves the right to block release if those guidelines aren't met." Sony attacked that idea awhile back,i assume this is the reason for the delay

I'm on the fence of buying this game because of the Murphy part of the game.. I really don't get why Ubisoft don't make it optional for the player to control Murphy! Do you know if its the same on the PS3 version? It Murphy is controlled by AI in the PS3 version, I'm gonna buy it then.

I just got my Wii U, and bought Mario Bros. U along with it, i almost regret not buying this :P Although i should not say that, it's gamer blasphemy and i'll go to gamer hell. Mario is always a first when you buy a new nintendo console. This looks like a blast tho and will be an orgasmic second edition to my coming collection.

They are selling the console at a loss. For 300 dollars it pretty much has the best hardware for that money. Would people really want to buy a Playstation or Xbox when it costs 600 dollars, or is filled with ads?
