Rayman traverses the almost-but-not-quite Caves of Skops to fight the dodgiest looking Mr Skops ever by bashing his eyes off... seriously, what is it with this game and breaking everything's eyes?
Meanwhile, Darkroots have invaded the caves, Joe the Extraterrestrial's got himself some strange new neon lights and the spiders have given up on spitting stings at people in favour of throwing them instead...
**Note**
Sometimes the boss room doesn't load properly with this mod. I'm not sure if it's just me or a glitch of some kind. If you encounter this problem try closing Rayman Origins and Texmod, then running the mod again, as this usually resolves it.
HOW TO RUN MODS
---------------------------------
To run the mod files you need a program called Texmod, which you can download from here: code.google.co... (select the texmod zip file at the bottom of the list).
1. Open Texmod and click the large yellow folder icon in the top left corner. Select "Rayman Origins.exe" (usually found in C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Rayman Origins\).
2. Select Package Mode in Texmod, then select the mod (.tpf file) by clicking the small yellow file icon to the right.
3. Click "Run" and the game should load with the selected mods.
4. Enjoy! :)

Thanks! :) I had so much trouble with the Skops mod... the pincer/scissor things turned out thinner than I wanted them to be since they were based on Voodoo Mamma's arm sprites.

the elbow spikes and hands could have been implemented on skops though, (the hands of course being claws) and elbow pikes being. that...spikes

You are getting better at this ;) May I ask how much work it is to do this? I'm sure you spend some time making textures, but how difficult is the actual modding part? Do you use a hack created by someone?

Many thanks. :) The amount of work involved depends on the mod. If it's a character mod, like a Nymph mod, the process won't take so long as there's only two or three sprite sheets to edit. The level mods on the hand, like this one, usually take a couple of months as every sprite and piece of background texture needs to be edited individually. I'm also not a very fast worker and make lots of mistakes, and my health isn't very good either, which slows everything down. I use a program called Texmod for the actual modding. It automatically generates a tpf file containing all the edited textures, so I don't have to do this bit manually.

I think this is the best one yet! I have to admit- when I first saw the thumbnail of your picture city mod, I honestly assumed that you had found a hack allowing you to mod the actual levels.

Thanks, I really appreciate your comment! :) I don't know if it's possible to hack these levels, and even if I found a way I don't think I'd try it because I'd have no idea how to fix things if things went wrong.

Possibly... the bosses were probably the hardest things to mod because they were such awkward shapes.

I tried something like this last year but had trouble getting the hat right. The version I was working on was also limbless, and it ended up looking really weird. I'd be happy to try it again as I've still got the design on my computer, though I'm not sure whether to add limbs or not this time.

Wixey! Please, help me! I can't run neither of this mods! It's such a hardcore. I wanna try it, but... I can't use Texmod. Write the example of adding texture for game. For example, for Band Land. How to run this texture in my game? 10Q.

Hi, sorry you're having problems with Texmod. Hopefully this will help: 1. Download the mod file you want to use (for example the Band Land mod), then Open Texmod. 2. When Texmod opens, click the large yellow folder icon in the top left corner and select "Rayman Origins.exe" (usually found in C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Rayman Origins\). 3. Select Package Mode in Texmod, then select the mod you want to run by clicking the small yellow file icon to the right. 4. Click "Run" and the game should load with the selected mod. If Texmod still doesn't work your anti virus program might be blocking it. Also I think Texmod only works for devices running Windows so if you have a different operating system it might not work.

***** That sucks, man. Oooh, did you play the dead mod? There are skulls instead of electoons and shades are red and purple in this mod.
