Here's the thing with this stage: It's hard, it's really hard, but it's the good type of hard. The type that no matter how many times you die, and no matter how much you get frustrated, you have this "one more try" mindset, letting the game know that you will beat it no matter how long it takes. Personally, I didn't find this stage to be as hard as a lot of people made it out to be, with the exception of the fire section at the end, at least the first part of it, but it was not easy either, not by a long shot. But you know what, this was a fun stage. It was hard yeah, but it managed to be very satisfying to go through. A lot of the obstacles are reflex-based, something that I like, allowing for a very fun speed run. The only disappointing part was the boss. While the second part of the fight took me a surprisingly amount of time to get right, the fact that it ended so quickly was a bit of a let down. Granted, I think that was done on purpose, as most people don't want to fight a long boss after going through a tough stage like this, and I can agree to that, but I wish the boss was a little more satisfying. Overall, this was a really fun stage. It was very challenging without being bullshit, had great music pieces to go with it, and felt satisfying to beat, disappointing boss aside. :)
That's mainly due to the game being designed so damn well, that you can never get mad at the game because it isn't the game's fault. The controls are tight as can be.
This stage is like a dance: every time you do it you get a little bit better, once your good enough your feet will flow with the music This stage is so much fun once you get the hang of it
I remember playing the music level version of this in Rayman Legends, and since I like rhythm games, that one was a lot of fun once I got the hang of it. Way easier than this, though.
Makes it through The Land of the Livid Dead without dying. Dies twice at the start of the credits. ........Not sure if that's karma, or just irony. Either way, hilarious!
Here I am, 9 years later after the release of this game, to this day I come back to Rayman Origins once in a while to play this stage again (or maybe play the entire game over again).
i raged so hard on this stage to the point i was yelling at everyone who told me to calm down! you made this look so easy and i still feel bad for raging on this stage T_T Congrats on this dude! you deserve to be called a master after this! :D
That level took the cake with its difficulty, for me anyway. Love the soundtrack in the second third of the level, the western/Mexican styled one. Mournful, but courageous. I was up until 3:40 am trying to complete that level. No joke.
I just love the fact that, technically, the first old lady you meet is the one that caused everything in the first place, the granny in the opening cutscene who was so frustrated by Rayman and his friends that she threw everything at them. A normal game would have this be at least a sub-boss fight. You know, something to highlight that "yeah, everything you went through in this game is because of her". But no, you just defeat her with one hit. Rayman pretty much had no idea that things happened because of her
This game could be outrageously difficult, at times. As someone who didn't grow up during a time when the vast majority of games were incredibly difficult (MegaMan, Castlevania, BattleToads, Ghosts n Goblins, etc.), this game really tested my skills, but I loved every bit of it.
Am I the only one who didn’t mind this level, despite dying a few times in the stage, but made it through with no frustration? I found this level intriguing. It wasn’t even that difficult for me, it just takes a couple deaths to get through it.
And here's me, year 2023, getting to this level for the first time ever. I've had this game since it was released. I played for 15 minutes, couldn't even get to the first checkpoint. I quit. Came to find this video cause I wanted to know what the rest is like. I'm never going back to that level. I'm officially done. You should get a freaking world record for that run man.
this is hard but as a gamer u feel the music in the background which pumps u up to beat this. and at the end ur glad u beat this n u go on ahead and play it again. who else agrees?
Damnnn a spotless run of realm of livid dead, mad respects! Just completed this last level, super satisfying to have finally completed it. (how tf did you manage to get bested by credits after ace'ing the hardest level in the game, haha)
No problem. It is funny though how tricky this level was for me. I like levels like that, but usually try to avoid no death run throughs. You deserve credit for doing that.
Jack Gholson Payne by doctoring you mean editing? Oh trust me, there was a point in which I tried to, but it's impossible. There are always minor changes between whenever you die and respawn, and when you do it without dying.
Persegan What did you have to edit during the level, besides the pics at the end? What would be the purpose for you to stop it and move rayman to a different position? Could the reason be that you died during recording and edited until you made it to the same spot, and continued thinking nobody would notice?
I made it to the fire part, had to turn my console off came back and it wanted me to restart the whole thing over again. I uninstalled right after. I'm good with watching this. This achievement and collect all medals was all I had left and I don't need them.
Holy Ra, kaizo 2D Rayman... I was particularly fond of this level probably because I have a great handle on the Rayman Origins/Legends controls. This must be how expert Super Mario World players feel about kaizo romhacks of that game, who I am not among. This Rayman Origins player is a legend.
Wow, good job, dude! I was wondering how much time is it exactly needed to complete this level.Turns out to be 4 minutes exactly! Again, congrats for doing it so quickly,I know it's really hard
Thank you so much! It took me a long time to achieve it, but I'm sure if you spent the same time as me playing this level you'd also get it with no deaths :D jsut a matter of insisting a LOT XD
I lost count of how many tries I spent on beating this level but after 100000000000000000000 tries I got the rythm and could make it perfect but not with that technique you used 😅(in fact I found a small exploit on the 3 part that made me skip a few trams of obstacles with the proper momentum)
Ah...One of the only good memories I have from our childhood, we always adored those games, I remember that at that stage we died many times and never got through it, but it was pretty fun...and frustrating, but meh.
Esto fue mi infancia, recuerdo que este nivel era muy dificil y no recuerdo si exactamente lo pase... Pero lo que si recuerdo fue luchar contra ese jefe... Lo cual significa que si logre pasar ese nivel.... Estoy teniendo muchos recuerdos ahora.
Am I the only one who thinks that Rayman Origins gamplay is more frantic and difficult than Legends gameplay? In rayman legends I see all a little bit slower
The only thing that disappoints me in Rayman Origins is that Voodoo mama appears for only 5 seconds and only blinks goodbye.((( This character's design is too cool. Btw like the whole game.
