Thank you for the feedback Aleks. I will pass your request onto the product manager that oversees that development. Currently our RealBathy background is white, which shades to pink and red as the recorded depths approach your selected shallow water shading depth. You can adjust the spread of the shading by changing the values for Shallow, Safe and Deep contour values. I do like the idea of adding additional colorization to it though.

Thanks for your help How do I set up the fish finder since it’s not ready at 2 feet. When I am sailing at more than 25 miles per hour it does not read depth. That is normal? And I can't see the route well on the GPS and I bought the card to navigate in the Caribbean.

Hello Carlos. The minimum depth our sonar and fishfinder products is able to reliably calculate is 0.8 meters or about 2.62 feet. Readings will be very unreliable at water depths shallower than that. Do make sure your chartplotter is configured to see your map card. Touch Menu...Settings...Cartography. Touch your map card on the interface that appears and the chart should load so you see its full details.

2 questions. 1. Can this unit (the fishfinder) be used for offshore fishing? 2. Can one use an in-hull/through hull transducer? If yes which tranducer would be the best choice?
@RaymarineInc
@RaymarineInc 6 месяцев назад
The Element HV units are probably more suited for coastal and inland fishing, though it really depends on how deep the water is where you are going. The CHIRP fish-finding sonar channel has a maximum depth range of about 900-feet (275 meters). The SideVisision and DownVision channels have a range of about 600-feet (91 meters) in standard mode, and 125-feet (38 meters) in HyperVision mode.

Hello Bob. On the Element Series products, unfortunately it does not have a live "cursor position" readout. The next closest thing is anytime you pause with the cursor, of you press OK, a popup menu will appear with that position. You'd then need to press the back button to close the menu and resume moving the cursor. There is an option to enter a new waypoint at a latitude/longitude position. Press Menu...New..Waypoint and Lat/Lon and there is an interface there to click in the coordinates.

Thank you for the reply to my comment below. This helped me with my Element S on my sailboat. I have another Element HDS on my fishing boat and have ran into a problem. Unit has been working great, but at cruising speed (24 MPH) I lose the depth when I get into 58-62 feet of water. No problems with this in shallower water or when I back down the speed for trolling (2.5 MPH). Any thoughts on what I could do?
@RaymarineInc
@RaymarineInc 2 года назад
Hello Jim. Typically when a transducer loses bottom at higher speeds it is usually due to cavitation or air flowing underneath the face of the transducer. Sound energy from sonar cannot change mediums (water to air to water.) When its sound pulses encounter the bubbles, the signal stops abruptly system loses bottom track. It may be beneficial to take an assistant along on your next ride so you can observe the water flow around the transducer at speed. The transducer has 2 adjustments you can make, height and running angle. Running angle is the easier of the two. Loosen the bolt that passes through the transducer and bracket, give it a few clicks up or down, tighten, and test at speed to see if it is better or worse. Repeat until you see improvement. I'd start by pushing the aft end of the transducer down slightly. The transducer bracket is also adjustable for height. This will raise or lower the entire transducer within the length of the mounting slots on the bracket. There are 3 screws that hold it to the transom. The center screw passes through a round hole, and holds the height adjustment permanently. The other 2 are slotted and allow for up/down adjustment. You'll need to remove the center screw, and then loosen the slotted ones just slightly. I'd probably start by sliding it down slightly to make it sit a touch deeper in the water. Tighten the slotted screws and don't worry about the other yet. Test and speed and see if its better or worse. Repeat until you find the best height. Once you've found the sweet spot you'll want to drill and re-install the securing screw. Don't forget to fill the old hole with sealant too.

So how do you know how big the fish are that you are scanning on the 3D imaging? The feedback seems to just come back as a group of dots. How would you know whether those dots are a school of bluegills or a school of bass?
@RaymarineInc
@RaymarineInc 2 года назад
Hello Alex. Thank you for watching and commenting! In the 3D mode we use spheres or pinpoints to try and define the actual size of the target the sonar is seeing. We can also color-code them according to depth or density. You'll get much more realistic sizing of targets in Point mode, though they will be harder to see overall. The Sphere presentation (the default) is intended to make targets easier to see but it definitely comes at the expense of accurate size. You can change the 3D presentation between Point and Sphere mode in the Sonar Settings menu. That said, if you set the colorization mode to color targets by Intensity rather than depth, I think you'll instantly be able to see the differences between the fish types. Fish of the same species tend to reflect sonar with a similar signature, so there will be some uniformity to their returns. I also find it helpful to run the 3D presentation split with another sonar so I can see both signatures. The DownVision or SideVision, for example, can offer more picture-like detail. The channels are synchronized by default so you should be able to correlate fish between channels to match them up.
@alexw575
@alexw575 2 года назад
@@RaymarineInc Thanks, that definitely helps. Are there any videos showing the difference between the 3D returns of point vs sphere? I haven't been able to find anything where they show how they compare to each other.

good morning, your explanations are fantastic, I have an element HV9 with HV100.2, I would like to install it in a watertight box with liquid in a bow locker, is it possible for it to work? Thank
@RaymarineInc
@RaymarineInc 3 месяца назад
Hello Marco. The HV100 transducers are not intended for a shoot through the hull installation. It may work, or it may not. The challenge with using this transducer in that manner is the fact that it is a multibeam transducer. Most shoot-through transducers are merely firing their acoustic energy straight down towards the bottom. Element has side-scan and 3D sonar which require sending signals through the water horizontally, in addition to vertically. Proper alignment of these beams is critical for them to generate a useful picture. Element also transmits in the 1.2 MHz frequency range when it is in HyperVision mode. This gives it great detail, but a more limited range. The hull material is likely to attenuate the 1.2 MHz frequency more, which may prevent it from registering. You can certainly give it a try, but I cannot officially endorse it. The HV100.2 really should be mounted in the water off of the boat's transom.

@RaymarineInc
@RaymarineInc 2 месяца назад
We do make a through-hull transducer for the Element series, called the HV300. That would be the right solution for a sailing vessel. This is a stem-mounted transducer that does require drilling a hole through the hull. We offer it in 2 different versions. If you can mount it on a spot that is level, you can use a single transducer, part number A80604. It is also available in a dual-transducer configuration for installations where the transducer needs to be mounted along the area of the hull with significant deadrise. One transducer covers the port side channels, the other to starboard. One has the high CHIRP down-looking channel, and the other has the DownVision down-looking channel. Element fuses all of them together internally. These transducers come with fairing blocks that can be shaped to fit the hull deadrise. The part number for this kit is T70448.

I was under a misconception the display saved charts internally and the SD was just used for downloading. The fact some people are running out of internal memory during firmware updates points to very limited storage.
@RaymarineInc
@RaymarineInc 3 года назад
Currently, Element is setup to read all of its charts from plugged-in micro-SD cards. As part of our new LightHouse Charts system it is planned that Element (and Axiom) will be able to store map data internally, subject to space availability in the onboard memory. That capability has not been rolled out just yet. When updating Element's software from the internet it does need to download the update file from our server and store it temporarily. If there is not enough room in Element's internal storage it will instead store the update file on the free space on a plugged-in microSD card. Its stored there temporarily and removed when the update is complete.

@RaymarineInc 5 месяцев назад
The Element system could be used with your existing ST60 instruments, though I think you might have a better experience with one of our Axiom systems as there are a great number of sailing-specific features in it that you may be interested in. Axiom also offers Wi-Fi connectivity to the Raymarine app for remote viewing, which Element does not have. If you have a below-deck monitor or Smart TV, you can also stream the output of the Axiom using a wireless protocol called Miracast, which Element doesn't support. With either system, Axiom or Element, you will need to add our E22158 SeaTalk to SeaTalk NG converter to your shopping list. This device will do the translation needed between the older SeaTalk 1 data language your instruments speak, and the newer NMEA 2000 language the Axiom or Element communicate it. The internal sonar built into the Element system will not work with any Airmar transducers. Element systems specifically use a Raymarine HyperVision transducer (Element HV models) or a Raymarine CPT-S transducer (for Element-S systems.) If you choose an Axiom+RV model, it can be adapted to work with many Airmar transducers, though we'd need to know the specifics of which transducer you have now to be certain its a match. Generally, the Airmar transducer it will work with would be dual-frequency (50 and 200 kHz) models that would have been fishing-oriented. Most transducers that were originally connected to ST60-style instruments would not work as they are normally single frequency, support only lower power levels, and have a slip-on spade connector system rather than a locking multi-pin connector.

Hello Tommy. Unfortunately Element really isn't designed for that type of setup. We don't offer a split transducer cable or transducer switch to allow it to plug-in from 2 different locations. Those types of accessories have become much less common through the years as many of these products have become network-capable. Ideally, you'd probably want to look at an Axiom system, rather than Element, and set it up as a dual station system where 2 screens can access the same transducer. Axiom also supports our RayControl and RayConnect mobile apps that let you stream video to and control the system from a Smartphone or tablet.

Hello Matt. Element has a NMEA2000 on it so it can integrate with a wind instrument pretty easily. The i60 wind is a good choice for this. The i60 hosts the masthead transducer and allows you to calibrate it. Another option is a bundle we offer with the i70 multifunction color instrument bundled with the iTC-5 and depth/speed and wind transducers. This gives you a color instrument that can display other data in addition to wind, plus you'll pick up Speed-through-Water measurement too.

Hello Norman. Internally, the transducers are all the same, and offer the same performance potential. Generally speaking, the through-hull transducers often perform slightly better at higher speeds than the transom mount units just because they will sit deeper in the water, where there is less turbulence. That said though, a well-installed transom mount can work just as well as long as its not getting air underneath it.

Hi Jim, Firstly thanks for the great info with the series over recent months, however I do have a question that I think annoys a lot of Axiom users with regard to design features Aviom vs Element. Previously I have read that the Hypervision Frequencies in the Element would be made available (or at least it was on a RoadMap for development) for Axiom users. Is this still the case or has the development request been dropped? This is certainly a desired attribute for many users that fish both offshore and in bays, rivers etc. As I'm sure you are aware, Garmin integrate the UHD frequencies in their GPSMAP products which directly competes against Axiom. Can you put this issue to bed for us once and for all? Thanks.

@RaymarineInc 2 года назад
Thanks for watching, Chapstick. The Element-S works with our CPT-S line of transducers which have depth and water temperature sensors in them (for through hull or transom mount models.) In order to get speed through the water you'll need a paddlewheel transducer and a device to host it. The Element-S does not have a connection for the speed transducer. You could use an iTC-5 module to connect it to, or you could add an i50 Speed instrument to your network. I think you mention being interested in adding an i70 instrument at some point, so the iTC-5 module may be the better way to go when adding the speed transducer. You may wish to open a ticket up with our Product Support team over at raymarine.custhelp.com and let them know all of the options you are thinking of. Yes. Element can steer to an individual waypoint, or can follow a route. Using SeaTalk NG or NMEA2000, it can send that data to an autopilot for it to follow. Your ST4000 autopilot communicates using SeaTalk 1, rather than SeaTalk NG, so you will need to use a Seatalk 1 to SeaTalk NG device in your network to allow them to communicate. Our part number for it is E22158. Hi Brian. Technically there is some overlap in the sonar frequencies and a possibility of interference. Fortunately though yours will be separated by the length of the boat so I think you likely won't see much interference. The DownVision and SideVision channels on Element and Dragonfly can both operate in the 320 to 380 kHz CHIRP band. On Element however, you can change it into 1.2 MHz HyperVision mode. Shifting it up into that mode would get it outside of any interference from Dragonfly.

@RaymarineInc
@RaymarineInc Год назад
You will need to build a SeaTalk NG backbone, then connect your Element 9 and Raystar 150 to it. Our SeaTalk NG starter kit has most of what you will need. The part number is T70134. You'll also need Raymarine cable A06075, which is a NMEA 2000 to SeaTalk NG adapter cable. The 5-way connector serves as the backbone. Plug the 2 included terminators into the blue ports to terminate the network. Power the backbone using the supplied STNG power cable. That will leave you with 2 empty spur ports (white.) Plug the Raystar 150 into one of them. Then use the A06075 NMEA 2000 to STNG adapter cable to make the final connection between the Element's NMEA 2000 port and the last empty white spur connection. Since Element has an internal GPS of its own, and you are adding another one with the external Raystar 150, you'll need to tell Element to make the Raystar 150 the preferred source for GPS. Once everything is installed and powered up, on Element to Home...Settings...This Display...Data Sources. Select the GPS tab and you'll see listings for both the Element's Internal GPS receiver and your Raystar 150. Highlight the Raystar 150 and press the OK button to make it the preferred GPS source. A green check-mark will appear on the left indicating it is the preferred source.

Hi what are the real benefits or loss on the Element HV over the Axiom pro further to your notes. Are we talking iphone SE v 14pro scale of performance or is it really minor spec upgrades beyond touch screen? I want a replacement 7/9" unit to run radar, sonar(ice & depth only) & charts at the helm on my sailboat. Prefer to have buttons over touch screen. New radar and sonar priority over plotter unit Will the element software run the Navionics pro charts well?
@RaymarineInc
@RaymarineInc Год назад
Thanks for watching! The comparison between Element HV and Axiom Pro models is pretty dramatic. I imagine you are comparing them because they both have buttons, where the Axiom+ models in-between do not. Really, the Element HV and Axiom Pro are different tools for different jobs. Size-wise, the Element HV comes in 7, 9 or 12-inch screens, where Axiom pro is 9, 12 or 16-inch. Axiom Pro models support a much wider range of accessories than Element. For radar, with an Element screen you are limited to using our Quantum radar connected via Wi-Fi. The Axiom Pro gives you access to the full range of HD Color, Quantum, Quantum 2 and Cyclone radar systems. Element will run all levels of Navionics charts including Platinum+, as will Axiom Pro. You mention ice in relation to sonar. Does that mean ice fishing in the winter season? For that I would choose Element HV over Axiom Pro. @RaymarineInc

Hello George. We don't provide caps for those connections because they are typically occupied all of the time on every system. The other caps are there more for the optional connections that are not utilized on every installation to protect them from the weather and moisture over the long-term. Something you could do to provide a bit of protection when not in use is to put a dab of dielectric grease onto the end of the connector. The grease protects the metal pins from moisture, but allows a strong connection when the plugs are plugged in.

I have the Element 7HV v.3.16.something. How do I get the MPH/ KPH to display? Is it through the data boxes? If so, how do I get there?
@RaymarineInc
@RaymarineInc 2 года назад
Hello Dan. Element supports up to 4 databoxes per screen, on the corners of your windows. You can program each window with different databoxes, or none at all. On any given window press Menu....scroll down to the bottom and select the Gear (Settings) icon, and then scroll right to the Databoxes tab. The boxes are numbered 1, 2, 3 and 4 moving clockwise from the top left. Scroll down to select the box you want to edit and press OK, and then Edit. The data manager appears which breaks down all the different categories of information. MPH/KPH would be Speed Over Ground, which comes from your GPS receiver, so select GPS from the list, touch OK, and then select Speed over Ground (SOG). That will program it into that box, on that window. One note related to that data item in particular. On Raymarine systems Speed is shorthand for Speed Through Water. To display speed you need to have an in-the-water paddlewheel or ultrasonic sensor. Speed Over Ground (SOG) is speed measured by GPS. We treat them differently because they have different sources, and measure different things. The Speed Through Water value can be impacted by the speed of the current in the water, where SOG is not. Assuming that you don't have a speed paddlewheel, you'll use SOG on your system instead of Speed.

Hi Aluzio. I checked this out on my live system and its possible to show one or the other, but not both on the wind dial. I will raise the question with our team to see what might be possible in a future update. One work-around, though not quite as elegant, would be to re-program some of the other databoxes to show the alternate wind speed and angle from what is on the dial. I realize it won't have the needles, but it does give you the data you are looking for. While in the dashboard app press Menu....Customize Page and cursor over to the cell you want to edit. Press OK....Edit....and the list of data fields is displayed. There is a Wind category with all the options in there.

Hello Steve. I will make the feature request to our software team. Element was designed without that Navionics Plotter Sync capability, unfortunately. There is a work-around that might help. From your mobile device you can export your Navionics routes and markers as a GPX data, and then share them via email or data transfer. You could take that GPX file, save it to the map card, insert it back into Element, and then import the GPX file into Element. Navionics has a video showing how to export and import data from their app here: www.navionics.com/usa/blog/post/how-to-export-and-import-gpx-files-with-the-navionics-boating-app On Element, you can import a GPX file from Home...Settings....Import/Export...Import from Card.

What is the wattage of each element in Raymarine HV-100 transducer ?
@RaymarineInc
@RaymarineInc 2 года назад
Hi Level. The power output of each channel varies depending on the frequency in use. According to our tech specs, here is how they break down: HyperVision 1.2 MHz (DownVision and SideVision): 1000 Watts 350 kHz CHIRP (DownVision and SideVision): 700 Watts 200 kHz CHIRP (conical Sonar): 100 Watts The 3D presentation on Element uses the DownVision and SideVision combined, and can be rendered from either the 1.2 MHz or 350 kHz CHIRP, so the power output in that mode will correspond to that of the frequency in use.

Can you give me the settings for the clearest vieuw to see only bigger fish on the screen....i fish only in lakes from 2 to 4 meters depth
@RaymarineInc
@RaymarineInc 3 года назад
Hi Daniel. If you want to reduce the number of small sonar contacts show and leave only the larger fish, there are a couple of things you can adjust. First, there is a setting in the sonar called Color Threshold that you can adjust. This setting reduces the number of colors that are displayed on the screen. Targets are colorized by their echo strength and the Color Threshold setting will eliminate the colors associated with the weaker echoes first. The benefit of doing it this way is that it does not change any of the Gain or Filtering. We're simply just reducing the number of colors. While looking at the Sonar channel open the Menu, select Settings and then scroll to the Sonar Display tab. Color Threshold will be in the list. Its a 0 to 100% adjustment and you'll see the impact of its adjustment right away in the live preview window. Another way to do it is by lowering the sonar's gain. This will reduce the sensitivity of the sonar overall and the smallest/weakest returns will be eliminated first. The downside to doing it this way though is you are reducing the system sensitivity so all targets will be reduced slightly in their presentation. Plus, if you do move to a significantly deeper or shallower depth, you will need to remember to re-adjust it periodically.

Hello David. Unfortunately there is not an option for a 1kW or even external sonar module for an Element-series unit. Element models are limited to just their internal sonar capability and work with our HyperVision or CPT-S series transducers. 50 meters should be well within range of Element's CHIRP sonar channel, and the DownVision channel when it is in 350 kHz mode. The HyperVision 1.2 MHz frequency most likely won't work at that depth because the extreme high-frequency nature of it is attenuated rapidly in water. You best bet is the traditional CHIRP sonar channel, or DownVision at 350 kHz.

@RaymarineInc
@RaymarineInc 2 года назад
Hello Shane. Each screen on Element can have 4 data boxes displayed, one on each corner of the screen. You can edit what is shown in each corner by going to Menu....Settings....Databoxes. The boxes are numbered 1 through 4, starting from the top left and moving clockwise around the screen. It sounds like you have Running Mode enabled on your system too. When you run fast the chart automatically shifts to a heads-up view, and data boxes #1 and #4 get larger and move up to the top left position for better visibility. When you are programming your databoxes put the boat's speed over ground into box 1 or 4. On all Raymarine systems its also important to note the difference between Speed and Speed Over Ground. They are different measurements, from different sensors. Speed refers to Speed Through the Water and comes from a paddlewheel or ultrasonic speed sensor in the water. Most Element systems don't have this unless you are running optional instruments networked to the Element screen. Speed Over Ground is speed as-calculated by your GPS receiver. All Element systems can calculate and display Speed Over Ground. When customizing the databoxes, Speed Over Ground (SOG) is found in the GPS category.

Long Press on your chart and in the popup menu choose Find Nearest. On the next screen choose Tide Station (or Current Station) and it will show you the nearby stations, sorted by distance. 3. Use the tide and current icons on your normal navigation or fishing chart. The same tide and current icons that are reference in point 1 above can be displayed on your regular charts too. Sometimes they are harder to find simply because of all of the other information displayed too. They are there though, in the same locations as in "Tides" mode, if you enable them to be show. On your normal chart press Menu....Settings (the 3 gears icon at the bottom)....and select the Layers Tab. Make sure the switch for Tides is on, and those stations will be shown on the chart. A long-press on any of those stations will trigger them just the same as if you are in Tides mode.

Officially, here are their depth/distance ratings: CHIRP Sonar (170-230 kHz) - 274 meters (900 feet) DownVision (320-380 kHz) - 183 meters (600 feet) DownVision in HyperVision mode (1.2 MHz) - 30 meters (100 feet) SideVision (320-380 kHz) - 91 meters (300 feet) each to port and starboard simultaneously SideVision in HyperVision mode (1.2 MHz) - 30 meters (100 feet) each to port and starboard simultaneously RealVision 3D (320 - 380 kHz) - 91 meters (300 feet) down and to the sides RealVision 3D in HyperVision mode (1.2 MHz) - 30 meters (100 feet) down and to the sides The actual range performance you'll see on your local waters can vary depending on the speed of your boat, the salinity and turbidity of the water, and the presence of thermocline (temperature layering) in the water.

Hello Tyler. No, the Element does not have swell compensation.

@@RaymarineInc well that's a bit of a bummer. Does the Axiom line or did I have a stroke and hallucinate that feature?
@RaymarineInc
@RaymarineInc 3 года назад
The Axiom units compensate for swells when they are in RealVision 3D mode with GPS Tracking enabled. The RealVision 3D transducers (RV-100, RV-200, 300, 400) all have an AHRS (Attitude and Heading Reference Sensor) inside them that senses the motion of the boat and filters it out. This delivers a more realistic representation of the ocean bottom when GPS Track mode is running. This is the mode where the 3D sonar automatically stitches together adjacent strips of 3D bottom data and builds-out a composite model of the ocean bottom around the boat. The bottom is updated with every fresh pass, targets in the water column (like fish) are updated as they change position. This video we shot a while back with MarineMax has some nice video of RealVision 3D with GPS Track mode turned on: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-I5FvhGmT2Gc.html

hai there why my element 7 cannot scan when traveling at the speed of 30 km above. need info
@RaymarineInc
@RaymarineInc 3 года назад
Hello Abdul. As your boat increases in speed, the water flow gets more turbulent around the hull. This turbulence created cavitation (air bubbles) that flow along the hull and under the transducer. The transducer can't signal through air. It needs smooth water flow to work correctly. It is possible to get the sounder to work at high speed, you might just need to make some adjustments to the position of your transducer to make sure its staying in clean water flow. At speed you will lose some of the detail, but the sonar is capable of holding bottom and marking larger contacts.

Im going to answer for Glenn. I can get to 20-30 MPH. But I can also lose the bottom while sitting at home slip or running across a bay with a depth of either 4-30 feet of depth. But I lose it then regain it and thats dangerous.

Do make sure that your system has the latest software update installed. Where you are commenting on an Element video, the latest release for that products is version 3.15.50. Our team did make some improvements to its bottom-tracking algorithm that may help if you are experiencing any drop-outs. The software is available here: www.raymarine.eu/service-and-support/software-updates/element-series/lighthouse-sport-os.html

@@RaymarineInc Thank you thank you thank you. I am waiting for my Element 7 to arrive so I can install it before the fall migration of Striped Bass. Your competitor that starts with a G, which I purchased 1 year ago has been a total disapointment. Sitting in my slip at 5 feet or less or going down my canal at 5 MPH or less keeps dropping off the bottom read. Its being religated to just a Chartplotter. I am so much looking forward to my new Raymarine. Thank you for your reply.

That’s a shame the radar only works with the quantum.
@RaymarineInc
@RaymarineInc 2 месяца назад
Element is limited to using the Quantum radar because it needs to utilize a Wi-Fi connection to the scanner. If you are interested in a different radar scanner you'd need to use one of our Axiom-series displays.

Really disappointed with my hv12. Clumsy interface, way to many buttons etc to select to go to a saved waypoint and how about providing the old road type screen when navigating to a wp. Lastly the tide information is woeful and again clumsy if you want to see the sin wave type tide chart.

I'm sorry Element is working to your expectations. Being button-based, rather than touchscreen, it does take a few presses to get to functions like tides, currents and waypoints. I'll make sure our product team sees your feedback.

I find it a little surprising that the Element is more capable as a fishing sonar than the more advanced Axiom. Of course there is the Axiom pro but it is pretty expensive. I do miss the Elements fishing sonar capability in my Axiom.

@@RaymarineInc When do we have the 1.2 MHz Hypervision in Axiom?
@RaymarineInc
@RaymarineInc 3 года назад
Element has different sonar hardware inside from Axiom to accommodate the additional 1.2 MHz channels. Unfortunately it is not as simple as a software update or transducer swap. It would require an entirely new version of Axiom, or an external black-box sonar and an additional transducer.

Thank you for the explanation! This is unfortunate because it would have been easy to just change transducer. Hopefully hypervision will be a part of the Axiom series in the future.

I had an Element S 7 that came with my New Aluminum fishing boat. It has been an ok system so far however the most disappointing thing is that you CANNOT mirror the screen to a tablet or phone. My old Lowrance Ti could do that. Raymarine cheeped out on the touch screen but STILL won't let us mirror the sceen...... Right now for the same money I have been recommending the Lowrance FS. For a similar price with the LOWRANCE FS a better product (better screen, fish reveal, touch screen with buttons) and it also MIRRORs the screen to a tablet or phone. Raymarine - you are a decade behind with your handicapped offering.

Thanks for your help How do I set up the fish finder since it’s not ready at 2 feet. When I am sailing at more than 25 miles per hour it does not read depth. That is normal? And I can't see the route well on the GPS and I bought the card to navigate in the Caribbean.
@RaymarineInc
@RaymarineInc 3 месяца назад
Accurate bottom tracking can be unreliable in depths shallower than 0.8 m/2.62 ft. When operating at or below this depth be cautious of misleading sonar returns or false bottom tracking. Regarding the map card, make sure it is selected in the Cartography menu. You can choose which charts you want to see in each chart window. It sounds like yours is not selected. In the Chart app touch Menu...Settings...Cartography. Your chart should appear in the list. Touch it and a checkmark should appear next to the title indicating it is selected. The chart should load and be visible on-screen.
