Yea & no. Some songs don’t translate well with a band. As long as the performance element is there with you dancing, having dancers (which he said they didn’t) it can work with the instrumental with the back up vocals in the background

@@IDCThrowAway Don’t agree with that because most bands play over the instrumental backing track. The band added on to it gives it a more live sound.

@@djdoncruse1952 again with certain songs a live drum kit doesn’t do it Justice, it’s just better to use a the instrumental. I’m a lot of cases you can play the drums along with the backing track all you want but it still won’t hit the same when it comes to certain R&B & hip hop songs.

I think the right backup band with the right music director can pull off just about anything. It's also about how the instruments are mic'd and mixed. If we're talking about something like Techno or House Music, then yeah a band probably wouldn't do it much justice. But IMHO there are very few R&B songs that can't be done right by a good enough band. Hell if Jay Z and even Young Jeezy can perform with a band, then I'm hard pressed to think of an R&B act that has any excuse outside of budget or stage setup. The issue with drums can be solved by having an electric pad set up for the drummer to use on certain numbers; hell, the drummer needn't even be present at all for every song (let that dude go in the back and knock back a glass of juice or something for a few minutes lol). On the other hand, for R&B I think live keys and a guitar are a must. But hey, different strokes and all that. 🤷🏽‍♂

chris stokes is raz's older cousin.. he allegedly molested them as kids but the other members wont admit to the allegations so it separated the group.. chris has admitted that he touched them in a round about way.. but raz is struggling to work with ppl who wont acknowledge his trauma or his truth..

raz and Quentin are the only 2 that have come out and openly spoken up against Marques Houston and Chris Stokes as far as molestation goes..

Raz B came out years ago and said that Chris Stokes molested them and made them perform gay acts when they were in B2K.

Chris Stokes is Ray's cousin and B2K's manager. Chris and Marques Houston were both of raping and molesting Raz B and I think grooming the members, as well as some other mistreatment. All of this is alleged. Raz B came forward in 2007-2008 with accusations.
