10/10 I love it ! Definitely recommend if you are sitting for long hours ! It doesn’t bother you at all ! It charges in less than 15 min and it lasts for a while ! The audio quality is amazing and all my friends always ask me if I’m on a professional mic lol
For those of you that are using this headset, it is pretty decent to listen to heavy metal for. It doesn't have much base, but it still has it. These drivers have a very CRISP tone to them, not neccessarily 'clear' tone. In order to get this headset to sound clear, even with tuning, I use DTS X and their THX software at the same time to really clean it up.
SO... I own a pair of these as well. And for anybody watching this video much if not most of what he is saying is true but context is very important. The verbal descriptions he is using to describe the audio while technically true they are tools to describe audio for critical listing and A/B comparisons. And are in no way representative of audio quality for gaming and are even less useful for competitive gaming. These headsets are for gaming period, full stop. If you fancy yourself an audiophile and want "good" headphones you can also use to game with, then these are not for you. These are tailored for gaming and competitive gaming at that. In the gaming environment you will likely prefer to have some subtle audio artifacts that would drive an audiophile up the wall because it can give you an advantage in the game. Even for casual gamming you are going to find the audio quality these headsets provide along with the functionality preferable to most other "audio" headsets. Mainly because of the features and price. And if you want to further enhance your audio experience do yourself a favor and ditch the synapse software and the wireless receiver that come with this unit. Modern Bluetooth is more than enough for any kind of gaming and the audio quality using windows mixer is far superior to that of synapse. The default built in profiles are good and work whether you have synapse installed or not. For further tweaking I would use your of eq software, loads of free stuff out there. I find these headphones to be very capable when paired with my own eq for the money and add to that the outstand performance of the mic it becomes a no brainer. All that said let me say again. He is not wrong in his descriptions for this device. Context is king here is all I am saying. For gaming and competitive gaming at that these are great headphones once you ditch the Synapse software. In fact the only real disagreement I have is his take on the Triforce drivers. It's always going to be a question of "Fit for Purpose" and the Triforce drivers are a good fit for this use case/purpose. Games are not movies or music and the audio is both designed and handled differently. But. real talk, those LG's do sound really good though! P.S. I left a thumbs up! It's still a good review overall.
Bit of a stretch, but just picked up a pair of these, should I consider getting an extended warranty (its 20$ for 3 years and the company has been reliable in the past for replacements)? Reason is I heard so much mixed feedback on the build quality and just overall quality of Razer products.
If it gives you peace of mind, yeah. But I've had the BlackShark V2 (wired) since June of 2021 with no damage still. Out of probably 15 Razer products that I've reviewed, only 1 broke which is the Kraken X. So I don't think you'll need the warranty, but if you can spring for it, why not.
I'm looking for a wireless headset that will be both for work (need a good mic for calls) and fps gaming. I'm thinking about buying razer blackshark, would you recommend this one or are there better headsets that have a good mic, and would be a better option for me?
I think the Cloud III is a better choice overall. The mic isn't quite as good, but the headphone audio is much better and I find it more comfortable for longer periods of time. There's also a wireless version of the Cloud III, but it doesn't have Bluetooth.
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews hyper cloud 3 wireless? or connection version? in my country 183$ costs blackshark v2 pro 2023 vs 244$ logitech g pro x 2 and 332$ for hyper cloud 3 wireless
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews Is there a way to connect the Cloud III to an iphone without bluetooth? Like you I find the Razer blackshark really uncomfortable, but it doesn't seem like the alternatives with good mics (Astro A50 X) can pair with an iphone well.
Got them recently and I do not have any issue with any noise when there is no sound and the sound quality is pretty much what I would expect equivalent to my old logitech pro x headset.
Have you ever tried the Corsair Virtuoso XT? How does it compare to the Logitech Pro X 2? I've seen it go for less than half the price of the Pro X 2 in Canada, kind of tempting.
The Virtuoso XT mic is better - not amazing but much better than the Pro X 2. The headphone audio is a lot worse though. No body in the bass and thin midrange.
Hey, I picked these up for the mic quality, but i feel like the audio quality is so bad I might return it. Which headset would you recommend with the combination of a good mic (good enough for streaming) and good audio quality?
Yep, that's definitely the dilemma with these. The HyperX Cloud III has way better drivers, and it's the 2nd best mic I've used so far (behind these). As long as you're not into a lot of bass the Cloud III is great. The wired version is a bit better in terms of both the mic and headphone audio, but both are good.
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews What do you think of the beyerdynamic mmx300 compared to these, the black shark v2 pros are amazing at everything: comfort, mic, battery life just the audio quality let’s them down so I’ll probably avoid the hassle of returning them.
I have Kraken Pro V2 and am thinking to get a wireless headset. Not sure whether to get Blackshark V2 2023 or Kraken V3 Pro. How is the difference in audio sound between these two? Or in terms of my upgrade from quite an old headset (I’ve been using it for about 6 years), getting a Blackshark (‘cause I really like the sound of that mic xD) will anyway be getting a better sound quality? So basically what I’m trying to figure out is: is there a difference between Kraken series and Blackshark series?
@@Kavingo13 I have a Kraken Ult wired but just bought the new V2 Pro 2023 ed. its leaps and bounds over the Kraken. Hope that helps? Anything else let me know.
i recently bought this, it has the best mic i have ever had on a gaming headset but oh my god the sound quality is disgusting. google this headset along with 'popping/crackling noises' seems to be a firmware issue ever since an update like 6/12months ago so its shocking they havent fixed it yet. i was listening to music on spotify on my PC and i had to turn it off cos the crackling was unbearable. if ur only using it for gaming then u wont notice the crackling or popping noises as much but if u sometimes listen to music and potentially watch things with this headset it might not be a v pleasant experience i am returning this (also i bought a replacement thinking my initial one was faulty but no same issue) and i am on the hunt for a new gaming headset that is just as comfortable and ideally a great mic but the sound quality just has to be at least decent and no issues
Can anyone please help me out. I've been looking at headphones for like 2 weeks in this price range like £150 to £180, and I want to be able to listen to music and go WOW and also be able to play games with it? Any suggestions, corsair, logitech, hyperx? I am def not getting blackshark for nearly 200 for outdated sound drivers. Is the sennheiser pc38x-drop, good?
Completely agree on the audio quality. I had the 2020 version but looking at this video i see razer has not made any improvements to it. It sucks when you spend 200 dollars to get a headset that sounds worse then the 30 bucks cloud core
I dont mind using the boom mic outside actually. yeah obviously not walking around in the city, that would be a bit ridicilous, but when im out hiking alone in the woods or whatnot on a dog walk, and still wanna talk to people, its gonna be VASTLY superior to talking into some built in mic. When noone sees you, who cares? All built in mics are horrible anyways, its just a chore trying to talk to ppl with em
I'll give you one that you should review, and it should be in your top 5 my friend. Check Corsair HS80 MAX - 24bit sound quality!! Good mic and good build quality. The problem with this one is the iCUE software, is very bad, the headset gets disconnected 2-3 times a day because of it, you need to unplug the USB dongle and plug it in again. It's an issue Corsair knows about but not fixed yet. Clamping force also very big, way too big I'd say, but hey, if you can live with these, the sound quality is just amazing, they are not good only for gaming but also music, and movies. Looking forward you review these, they are not very expensive.
I've reviewed the wireless HS80 that also has 24 bit and I currently have the wired version as well. Still haven't picked up the MAX yet, but from what I've seen from Corsair themselves and heard in other reviews, the main differences are just better battery life and Bluetooth. The two versions of the HS80 I have aren't in my top 5 because the headphone audio is just meh. The sound separation is okay, and the bass is passable, but I don't think they match up with devices like the Logitech G Pro X 2 or PC38X. The mic is great though - easily in the top 3. Also I agree with the clamping force - too strong. Maybe there were more stealth changes with the MAX, but I'll see whenever I can review it.
Wait so you are telling me I bought this for no reason because I have an Xbox and it isn’t compatible with Xbox?? Also I just googled it and it says it works on Xbox so you could be wrong just please let me know
Unfortunately yeah. This doesn't work on Xbox at all. The wired BlackShark V2 works if you use the 3.5 mm cable, but this one doesn't at all. Microsoft requires headsets to be Xbox branded specifically to work with their consoles unless they're going 3.5 mm.
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews nvm yeah you were right but I should be fine and I’m not even gonna bother with returning it because i think I can still use it but It has to be wired so I just have to plug it into my controller
@@عبداللهالجهني-ص4ه I just bought one today too and im seeing lots of confliction. Luckily I already own one for my pc. Im gonna test it with the xbox and ill let you know on monday.
i just got thushis headphone today. i was using the Ps5 pulse 3d headset on pc. tbh this headset audio quality sucks. it sounds very muffy. no bass and it hurts my ears lmao. i regret buying this tbh
