Great guide, followed the steps to clean and repast my Razer Blade 17 Pro 2019 model and succeeded to reduce the temp by 10 to 15 degrees Celsius. Thank you.
Great video on the repaste of the Razer Blade Pro model. Could you please advise me on the thickness of the thermal pads that are used under the heatsink? I am planning to repaste my Razer Blade Pro (2020 model). I am planning to buy some thermo pads in case of damaged or broken original ones.
Anyone know where /how we can get a new / replacement Cooling Unit (the heatsink plate)? Razer is, as usual, less than helpful about replacement parts :) Great video, but after doing all the steps and replacing the fans with new, its still overheating - i would prefer to not underclock my chip, since for the first year this laptop ran like fire (rz09-0368) but now i cant seem to get it back there, thinking that maybe the "cooling unit" would be the last thing i can replace overall and then assume its something "on the board" running hot now "forever" (burn in?).
Yeh , Except you can't Undervolt the CPU. Razer have locked down the BIos.Doesn't work in XTU or Throttle stop. Best you can do is limit CPU power in windows by either limiting the number of cores using windows sys config or the power profile of the cpu in the battery / mains settings to say 98/99% max CPU power profile on Mains / Battery
I was playing with throttlestop the other day and after undervolting to -200 ~ the laptop was crashing which I think means that the program did something.
You do not have to spread it. All there needs to be is a small drop and that's it. There's no need to smudge it all over. It automatically does it for you when you place the heat cover back on top. Tests were even done to show it does nothing to improve the temps. Infact it places it at risk placing too much on. as if it drips Ur fked. Hence small pea drop is enough.
@@concertofdepression nah test were already done. A pea size showed the exact same result as X and everything else they concluded the worst is when you try zig zag or cover the entire thing in it. Best results were X and pea size which were 99% identical.
hey, you didn`t clean the lower fans, they are merged into battery block. how very weird. they are absolutely filthy on mine, so I air blown them, however would be great to know how to remove lower fans from the battery, they seem like a solid block....how mysterious...
I removed mine by peeling back the black rectangle sticker on top of the two fans then you should see the screws, the battery does not need to come out.
