Thank you so much! I just fixed my mouse after watching your video. I never used a soldering iron before so it feels pretty cool to fix my own devise

Glad you fixed your mouse! All encoders are good as long as it is the same height of the stock encoder.

Thank you for the video, I was wondering what the exact encoder size in mm orochi used. this answered my question. I'm experiencing the same intermittent phantom scroll as you. this seems to be a common problem. Question about cutting the legs of the old encoder. Is there a reason you need to cut it instead of trying to just desolder it from the pcb?
@clckcustoms
@clckcustoms Год назад
Hello! Glad to know you got the exact encoder size from watching the video. I cut the legs so that I can easily pull the encoder out. Without cutting the legs, it is hard to pull the encoder out. The legs of the encoder are pushed outward making it hard to remove the solder.

Holy shit, this mouse is more reparable than the G304. G304 is nightmare to open. Also, how is scroll holding up now ?
@clckcustoms
@clckcustoms 8 месяцев назад
Hello. Yep the G304 is difficult to open at first but as many G304s come by to my shop it's easy to open. With a bit of force when separating the top shell, you could open it without breaking. New scroll encoders will last for years! It depends how hard you scroll 🤣

@@clckcustoms that's good. I bought orochi second hand for 24$ but man I really want to like them but its texture feels terrible, it stings a little and made my fingers sweat a lot plus its clicks are mushy and stiff compared to my g304 which feel tactile and just right and satisfactory. Probably because its a unishell and g304 has separate button covers. Build is solid and skates are miles better, its shell and power switch does not rattle like g304. Its sensor died so I got it RMAed. I have to sell it back now. I have practically a new mouse lying around now :/

all encoders 9mm with hexagonal hole should work, right? if have same shape
@clckcustoms
@clckcustoms Год назад
yes, it should work and fit into your scroll wheel. as long as you get the same height from the stock scroll encoder, you're good to go.

Hey I just stumbled on your video. My mouse scroll wheel button needs a hard press to register instead of a light one. Also mouse is skipping around, it's like it experiences interference and jumps arround occasioanlly, hard to play FPS games where I need the precision. Any ideas what might be causing this. It's out of warranty, i'll gladly open it up and try fixing it instead of just buying a new mouse and throwing this away.

Hello, sorry for this late reply 😅 You need a switch replacement for the middle mouse button. Over time dust and a bit of debris goes inside the switch at the metal contacts inside corrode over time. The Corrosion added a layer that will make you click it harder. So you need to do soldering to replace the switch. This is a box switch with 2 pins or it depends on your mouse, some middle mouse buttons have 4pins or have different heights.

@@clckcustoms Thanks a lot. I actually did get a new mouse, I kept the old one just in case. I'll see what I can do if and when I have time.

Can an 8mm encoder be used or does it have to be 9mm
@clckcustoms
@clckcustoms 4 месяца назад
You can but you'll feel a resistance when scrolling. It is advised that you should get the same stock scroll encoder for the mouse.

@clckcustoms

You could search it on any online shopping platform. The stock scroll encoder of this Orochi V2 is a TTC 9mm Scroll Encoder. Or you could search "scroll encoder 9mm". Any is good, it depends on your preference if you want it soft or more tactile to scroll.

just answer whats about razer orochi v2 vs attack shark x3 who is better
@shahar9.
@shahar9. 3 месяца назад
i have both of them and in my opinion they are both excellent. The razer orochi v2 is a little more comfortable for my small hands. But the attack shark x3 is like 20 dollars and is also really good, also the attack shark have a rechargeable buttery so you don't need to swap butteries at all. you can just recharge your mouse directly. I personally prefer the orochi because of the mouse shape.
