Top shelf . Does it seem Crabtree & Evelyn soaps and creams are extremely similar to TOBS ? And maybe another (Truffit&Hill) ? My TOBS solid Puck soaps are terrible , I heard they were reformulated , and were again to fix it . We shall see . I love Limes . Oglala Bay Rum Limes & Peppercorns is good , and the one with Sage too . Love that one . Great shave JC . Steve said the only person he's ever seen lather Williams was you (I concur) . Good afternoon JC! I love lime scented shaving products. Let see, there is Castle Forbes Lime shaving cream with matching balm, and TOBS No. 74 Victorian lime aftershave. The sad part is people tell me it smells like furniture polish. Thanks for the link to the bowl lathering video. That is a great looking lather you have. I am heartened to see you effectively using this Old type head. My Gillette Sheraton is much the same; mild daily diver...too bad it's in the shop. That looked to me like a nice shave. Todd F Good afternoon Todd! I also enjoy citrus scents very much... So refreshing. Unfortunately the furniture polish and air freshener/cleaning products manufactures have also realized that it's a nice scent... And since people are getting out of scented grooming somewhat (I get weird looks sometimes because I wear aftershaves that are scented aka Tabac😀) that's all they associate with those scents... A shame really... It was an absolutely wonderful and comfortable shave. No drama. Just what was needed. Not super close... Close enough and comfy😉 I hope you have a great day Todd!!

I had two of their soaps I received about 10-12 years ago and they weren't very good. Sienna and Sandalwood. I kept them for a long time because they were a gift but recently threw them in the bin. I've been told they experimented with a new formula about that time and after much negative feedback were forced to go back to the original formulation.
You are correct Abe... thats what apparently happend. I do have to give it to them that they did react to the comments they were getting from the customers and switched back again. Not all manufacturers will do that (see Williams).... the creams have always been performers though. Thanks for watching Abe!!!
S&S Makes some good looking handles. Recently I bought an Apollo razor... The handle looked like precision made prime engineering, obviously not made in the same place as the razor head (which I chucked in the garbage). But man... the handle alone was worth what I paid for the whole razor.
Its a good way to get a nice handle. The original S&S head is still flying around somewhere... but it was retired quickly. Same issue as yours.... I take it, that it is not the original vintage German made Apollo we are talking about?!?
No, it is a modern made Apollo, still hanging on to what used to be a good thing in the vintage. But, having said that the handle is fantastic but as long as you know you are just buying a handle then go for it. It is definitely worth it for that alone.
