Just viewed your great video and cool driving, when it was over, I went on line and ordered my first Axial Wraith,. I have been viewing Axial videos all week but your movie did it for me. Keep up the good work and thank's.
I still love this video, watched it don't know how many times already but it never gets old, I love it, I love rc's, I love RC adventures, I love the rc king - djmedic2008... I just love everything about rc's. best drug ever, hehe
Been in to RCs for 20 plus years, many rock crawlers, racers etc. The one I grab first to bash, crawl or race is the Wraith. Super durable. Great video. Ps., I still run my first stock Wraith that I bought when they first came out., getting ready to do a drivetrain, & chassis full upgrade build now. Many fun years on the stock truck.
More wraith. In my opinion wraith should have the most followers. It's so versatile. It's a crawler, scaler, rock racer, ultra4 scale buggy, rock bouncer, basher, or it just has so many mod parts available you can do whatever you want. Love it. Live it. Wraith all the way. I'm a hard core fan. Thanks for all your videos. My son an I love you man. Blessings.
I couldn't agree more!! The Wraith, as of 2018, is the BEST all-around Rig that Axial has ever made! 😎👍👍 LOVE Mine, and I haven't even finished building it yet. (Although I HAVE run Her in various stages of my Mods) BONE STOCK, it kicks ASS!! I'm currently adding a TenShock 1750kv Sensorless, Brushless Motor and 80A Hobbywing ESC (you DON'T NEED more than that for any Motor under 2000kv!) Still waiting to be able to afford more items, but just "crawling" around the House, this has got to be the SMOOTHEST Sensorless Brushless Motor I've EVER seen! It's a 6-Pole, 9 Slot, and LESS than $40.00!!! 👏👏👏😎👍👍
Yup Aaron.... Still watching OLD Videos!! The Wraith will probably always be the BEST all-around Rig, certainly the best that Axial has ever made (up to 2018). I was fortunate enough to have been GIVEN one, by an awesome Guy from Wounded Warriors!! I was so Humbled by the generosity. I've only run her a couple of times... I HAD to do Mods! (A Moral Imperative!!! I had also received a TenShock 1750kv Sensorless, Brushless Motor. It's unique in that it's a 6-Pole, 9 Slot Motor. I gotta tell you, it's the SMOOTHEST Sensorless Motor I've ever seen!!! Absolutely *NO COGGING!!* 😱😎👏👏👏 Seriously. Have you tried one yet? These are outstanding for Guys like me.... seriously Poor. They cost LESS than $40.00!!! Hopefully, I can actually get this done.... Carmine 🚂 PoorManRC
I like this truck more and more every time I see a new video of it. At first I thought it was going to be a totally lame truck. But I completely retract that statement, I want one! :)

Hey Medic you Wraith Master you!!!... Lol.... Hey, I've just ordered a Wraith Kit and your vid's have me pumped up!!! Love your shows... Keep'em coming!!!
I know its so funny I just bought mine and just started doing upgrades in 2018. I got the wraith spawn rtr and already put the vanquish titanium links in it. Taped off the body and made it two toned green and grey with a skull on the hood. crazy how popular this truck still is. Its awesome just hunting for a good crawling spot. surprised at how good it has at how stable it is for the design at higher speeds.great truck would recommend to everyone.
Was looking into the Wraith, had a few Axial crawlers allready. I stumbled onto your videos on here. Ordered the Wraith last night, can't wait to get it.. You're videos are great. I have picked up a ton of great tips and tricks. I subscribed, keep up the good work!!!!!!
That an awesome truck even when it was stock it look like it would handle a bit better now after the new shocks and links keep those vids coming Cheers ozzy rc crawler
A quick tip for suspension links: If your links start to get weak and flex especially the lower rear you can bend it straight boil water get it hot make sure it’s straight and put t in cold water or run cold water over it. Then it will be rigid again maybe even more so than stock. Yup, handles way better. I stuck 3s brushless in mine for fun in the snow but it was about out of control on dry. I can tell the one in the vid is way better at going over 5mph lol. I prob had a drink or three and left the lengthy comment below lol sry
Just bought the wraith today, and can't wait to take it out! Great job on your video! Glad to see someone here on RU-vid is from the same city as I. I think this Axial Wraith was a good buy for me and will get along time use out of it.
Awesome videos man. I have been to Canada ounce to the Calgary stamped and im out here in TUCSON just to put that out there. I barely got into RC and watching your videos have made me started to create my own track.
awesome vid medic! i think the wraith is pretty b/a and would love try one out. Gotta love the sounds of dirt bikes and nitro's in the background, again sweet video.
@djmedic2008 Thank you Medic! It's nice to have so quick answers from you! I have a XR10 but now i want one of those. I don't intend to run with with in salty water, only in the beach right in front of my house, and water only if i can't avoid it, but i can always improve the resistance to water of the servo doing what you do with that liquid plastic! Have a nice weekend Bro!
I have done all of the free mods I can find to my wraith. The original shocks still reside also. The shock oil leaked out but it makes it crawl better. Mine goes about anywhere. The traxxas mentioned is too big and wide to go where my wraith will go. If it did get through it, it wouldn't be technical driving. Rather, big wide tires rolling over things. I'll stick to my wraith, bought it to crawl and it does it well. I have videos to post. If you are driving up dirt hills the wraith isn't good for that and the tires aren't made for it. I run a 35t and smallest pinion and largest spur I can get on it. Works well for me. I smoked the 27t motors quickly in the summer heat but my 35t with low gearing gets warm but not stinky hot.
Dude Medic you inspire me in all ways I had RC's while I was growing up. lol but they was not high tech lol they where like wal mart type stuff but I still had fun bro. My dad got me a 1:6 scale hummer h2 when I was 11 it was bad ass he say he got it from usa hobby shop. But an way medic your the man. you made me realize that anything could be done only if you try. thanks bro lol and keep doing what your doing. Hope I can do what you do. By the way What RC you think I should gt im SC. Shaq,
Cool man... remember a ready to run unit is still a kit... true it runs, but once you buy one, then, you get to upgrade as you can afford or want to. this goes for all RTR trucks.. I have several and always upgrade the "C" hubs and knuckles with lockouts first thing. the knuckles tend to break easily as do the servo horns, on Axial's I know some say it's not necessary but I'd rather be playing with it, than repairing it...
hey man, you´re upgrading the beast and you´re not telling us all about it!!! not fair...lol...looks great but it seems you´re loosing balance with the higher cog...but still looks a mean green machine ;-)
Keeps the weight as low as possible to prevent or try to prevent roll over! a lot of full size baja trucks do the same, a popular trick is to add weight to youre wheels! on a budget get some car wheel balance weights from your local tire dealer & stick them to the inside of the rc wheels!
it all depends on ur style of driving, there is a difference between crawling and scaling. The wraith is a mix of both, if ur sticking to slow speed crawling over rocks and terrain go with the 55 if ur scaling the trails and mud the 27 is good for mud with the extra wheel speed
Hey medic, not sold on the wraith. There are alot of trucks out there that do fast alot better than that thing. What i really want to see (&i know you'll do it), is a dedicated crawling modded version. The potential for the wraith on the rocks is goofy cool. Approach/departure angles are ridiculous (for a scaler) & its a foot wide!
I went through a motor a week when i first got mine (went through 5 total). A nice motor/ESC combo is about $200 but it will last longer than 10 stock ones.
thank u. this is the best video ive found of letting me see how fast the axial wraith.. is this one ud recommend as a cheaper way to go for a all around. i want sumthing i can put a chevy truck body on and do sum mudding, rock crawling, playing in the snow and water and do sum bashing in all terrains lol thanks again..
