It only took a few years but i finally pulled the trigger so to speak. I should be getting mine in the mail in a couple of days. Thank you Medic for the inspiration from all your videos, especially this one i couldnt tell you how many times i have watched this build video over the past few years. Cant believe im finally getting one
i always loved RCs as a kid. ive been wanting to get more now that i am no longer a kid and can afford the nicer models. this truck has def sparked my interest again!
all the work you put in shows. and it shows that you actually care. thanks medic. ive been with you since you made a video on how to break in a brushed motor. also i work in a hobby shop and when i get questions about crawlers and axial products im able to answer them because of YOU thank YOU for great videos!
man i have to stop watching you videos i dont have a well enough job to buy these things. All of the RCs i buy are becuase you inspired me. Thank you Medic
Reminds me of building my Tamiya Mountaineer back in the 90's. I gave it away to a friend just recently, who was new to the hobby who also had a full size Toyota just like it....figured it would get him hooked.
Yo! Whats goin' down Macho Man!,hehehe.. Just goin' with the flow, sorry Medic,.. The Trail Finder 2 is a really nice little rig! Looks like the most time consuming part of the build will be getting the body completed: take your time, do it all nice, I'm sure all of us will love seeing it all completed and running when your finished. Enjoy the rest of your build, and see u soon brother...
love the vid once again brother its amazing how many you have up and how good your doing on the learning of more and more keep on building your rc dynasty and we will keep on watching thanks for helpin us out from everyone all over the world to me back in the states thank you brother
AND... Congrats to you and over 6000 views in 1 day!!!!, 1 day- awesome!! That's great. It's too bad you live about 2000 mi. away, would love to run some batteries with you and some of your buds.. Well, get er done, lay some nice paint, AND don't let Jem run your smaller rig off the trail when you get it out there! hehe,...
And we were all expecting a trail video....Then the "MedicBomb" drops and we are all blown away... Keep up the awesome videos, I know I really appreciate them:)
I was really great fun to watch, and yes, I personally think it was pretty easy to follow, I will be able to follow and I am a complete newbie, haha. The truck really looks great, enjoy and all the best Regards
i came back after 10+ years just to rewatch this build series (again again). i just hate that i STILL DONT HAVE ONE after all this time. one day TF2, one day you will be mine.
Thanks for the video Medic! I will definitely get this now after seeing this video. So nice that I may just assemble and keep it on a shelf....a reason to get a 2nd one a drive ;)
Not to rain on your parade !,but the pic on your T kinda looks like Macho Man Randy Savage !! LOL!!! That was cool of him to do that for you !! You should throw him a little accessory as a sign of good faith that was nice of him !!
you teased us on facebook yesterday and medic it was well worth the wait, rc4wd have done it again and produced a great scale product, can't wait for part 2 and future trail vids with this
Totally agree with everything you just said lol:) I've been comparing a lot of the "scale" crawlers to see which one I should get, and this one definitely wins. The bullet-proof drive train with its extra wide gears... not to mention the TWO speed transmission... that alone had me sold. No other "scaler" has this feature.
Nice I like the leaf springs overall just a cool looking truck and maybe in the future cut out a door to the bed of the truck and make it carry dirt then attach a servo and make it so it will lift up the end near the cab of the truck so it can dumb stuff
My friend built this kit and after an hour on the first run the driveshaft droped off an MIP driveshaft upgrade would be recomended. Also he dissassembled and greased the trans. gears and axle gears maybe not somthing a first time builder should try but a good idea for water runs and it reduced the gear noise. If you are wanting to build a scaler this is a great kit I'll be getting one as soon as I have some spare funds and the wifey isn't looking.
WOW that body is sweet! (thats what she said lol) It really looks like a replica of the "Tamiya Hilux High Lift". Should be a pretty nice rig once shes all put together. Glad to see your back in action Medic. Keep up the great work dude!
Sorry I was just replying to comments and just to tell you I'm a big fan and been following RC adventures for I while so please don't block me and your vids help me when I'm building by cars. If it wasn't for you I wouldn't be an rc addict so thanks for the vids!
Just wanted to drop a line to say great job on the vid and covering such an awesome rig. I have watched a lot of your vids and this keeps being one of my favorite trucks. I want one so i can try and replicate my grandpa's datsun pickup. Thanks for making these vids.
Dude you're kidding me ? I almost bought that exact same truck a few months ago... Had it in my hands... the owner of my LHS had opened the box just so I could "feel" the metal pieces ... I almost did but I choked... but now I need one lollll I wanna get a scaler and that particular one tickled my fancy and since I grew up in the 70's - 80's I was a big fan on the Tamiya Bruiser back then so the Trail Blazer seemed to fulfill that life-long dream I had of getting a metal scaler... Great vid
love the toyotas.i have a full scale road legal mud truck of the same model.1982 4x4.raised 4 inches on 35s,front and rear lockers and a straight 6 petrol.its in my videos butcurrently getting a full rebuild including new cab, chassis, engine and box.love your videos and i would love to buy one of these rcs.
You should make It a flatbed truck. Dont get me wrong, the drop bead is really cool. You could see if Crazy Joe could make you something like the Scale Trailer for the flatbed material type thing. Just an Idea. :)
Wow Man! This is great, Simply this is awesome. I really look forward to following this progress. What makes it even more excitement for me is My truck, the one you see in my avatar. Is mostly setup as a RC4WD truck. Here is some of the details: GCM Cross Canyon chassis with RC4WD T-Rex 60 axles, AX10 transmission, Epic motor and Castle Mamba Max ESC. I'm also planning on getting either the Trail Finder, or the 1/10 Yota RTR Scale Truck in the near future. Thanks so much for allowing us to see!
I started on my version a few weeks ago and was missing hardware recieve new bag but still missing the m2 x 8mm screws for the tail lights, but continuing with the build will send pics when done. good job!!!
and another great video from djmedic. some of my friends are still driving the rc4wd TF2, and i must say it´s a great truck for a great price even when the stock leaf springs are a bit too hard, but you can replace them with the softer red springs from rc4wd to have more grip on the trails. i´m looking forward to the next video, it´s always fun to watch this. greetings from germany
