It's going to be much easier to write scripts for Pixhawks soon to control things just like ballonets, are you sensing over pressure at all? Expect scripting in the next six months, sooner rather than later.
@@tedf1471 Probably not for party balloons, I was thinking for full sized airships. You know Helium is expensive so it would be nice to have an envelope that could hold helium for many years.

martin, great build and thanks for sharing. is the ballonet merely for keeping the hull nicely inflated over time as helium is escaping or is it to let ballonet air out when going higher up and fill it up again when coming down? can you have overpressure in the whole system both for the hull and the ballonet and this way create more weight based on compressed air acting as ballast? it would be great if you could explain what function the ballonet serves and what it does not do.
Can i ask how you move this forward and backward and elevate using the ballonets and do you use any propellers? I might be blind looking at thix vid xD Good Job though

What kind of material do you use for the envelope? Is it heat seal-able or did you just do a very very careful job of taping regular mylar sheets together?
