9:37 - beautiful landing.... But... I do not know how plane can not be landed on so wide and perfect field. We have only 3x15m wide old road with a deep ditches on both side and no one plane was crashed during landing for last 5 years :)
most of these birds seem to bury the nose upon landing. Is the CG too far forward? perhaps a sliding weight of some sort could correct this. Or is it just a small error by the pilot? Keep the nose up for a bit longer?
Oh dear!!! When you are low and slow DO NOT USE AILERONS TO LEVEL THE WINGS. USE THE RUDDER. The low wing will snap because the down going aileron is increasing the angle of attack on that wing so that it reaches the stall angle. Another mistake is that the approaches were, mostly too short. Set up way out and get the plane settled at its trimmed airspeed and DO NOT USE THE ELEVATOR UNTIL THE FLARE. I hope this helps. Oh! And the grass was often too long.
One must consider that some a/c do not roll in response to rudder input. My Extra 300 being one. Also on approach, hold the nose a little high with a FIXED amount of up elevator and control descent rate with power.
Just curious, does the fire onboard @ 0930z come from the factory, like the built in smoke in speedies ??? Or do you need to special order it, i have tried every model shop in Australia, and not one of them has any in stock...... I bet it's a bloody German made product and bloody Graupner won't market it here, i bet it's too costly to ship it out of the EU. Bloody shame, i wanted to retro a few of my models, i thought my 1/3rd scale DR1 with it's 9 cylinder Seidel might look good blatting about the sky in flames......
***** even with money, it might not come out as good as that it's like, astronomist dream of going to another galaxy and coming back but w/ all the money in the world it's not possible same as going in and out of reality to the "afterlife", w/ all the money in the world it's not possible best way is, just buy his boat or get enough knowledge and capability to duplicate his custom it's like.. if it was made in some country where there was no money or no person could copy what you want to happen, then money means nothing
+pukki34 i dont think these guys have any real teaching on how to fly rc, ive seen a few of these vids and they all seem to lack any real control on take off and landing, and very little in the air, ime not sure they even know what a tip stall is, and they obviously dont know how to land under power or without. i guess theres no regulations on flying in public in some of these country's too as they r just not safe to be doing so.
Amazing how many people "try to" land under throttle.. Just as amazing how many people just loose all control with a dead stick.. Learn to land without throttle (as you should) ,and survive dead stick ! Wtf..
I don't understand decision to land scale model, say 1:100 on grass. If wheels are small, 1 cm then is equivalent 1 meter of bump for full scale airplane.
+pukki34 i wondered that myself but then watched it again and not sure it hit anything, might be wrong but i think something broke of and hit the blades, as for the heli (raptor) that the engine cut out before, that guy really needs to learn auto rotating as that to be fair was an easy save but he had no clue
+pukki34 ive watched this again a few times now and what i have noticed if u look again the first thing to fly off is the side windows, they look like something hit them from the inside so my new guess is something broke inside the heli, maybe a link to rotor control hense the sudden dive.
Sehr cooles Video!
+Partykristian I was wondering the same thing, I think it was a turbine explosion. That might have been why parts flew everywhere and there was a loss of power.
+Partykristian actually after careful armchair ntsb studying....it also looks like the left cabin door came off and may have hit the tailrotor...and stabilizer...
Every one of these crashes should've resulted in flaming wreckage. Scale modelers should demand no less in their hobby. Now let's get busy and do it right !!!
