Great little run through on what to look out for when buying second hand boats. I got myself a scale tug boat a while back, wooden but great condition….only problem is the motor sounds very ‘grindy’ and I base this of the little experience I have got getting back into RC and specifically land based RC where for me grinding meant pinion/spur not meshing properly…but in this case it sounds like it’s the motor itself…..thing is, I can’t take it out to change it or look at it….it seems to have been glued in place 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ That said…looking forward to seeing you get this back to its original state and have some fun as the weather improves 👍😎

Looking forward, man. I didn't know you're a boat guy from way back - only ever seen you with one. A low KV brushless ought to run nice & cool inside that thing. Too bad it's missing its wing, though. those things made pleasure boats look great when they were introduced.

Cool I have a fairly large speed boat been meaning to renovate lying about somewhere doubt I'll ever get around too it though! Interesting to see what you do with it dude!
