Excellent stuff, I saw your pliers idea for soldering on one of your other videos and used it recently to solder some bullet connectors to a brushless motor. Made my life so much easier before was using two bricks pushed together!

Being new to the hobby I have learned a lot from watching your videos and I have never let a shop work on my cars I do everything, I just got a hot glue gun yesterday lol the drill is next I have the screwdriver style hex wrenches but it still sucks especially when you have to tear an RC down to the chassis it's a lot of screwing hahaha.

For $25 the best electric driver is the BLACK+DECKER PivotPlus Drill/Driver it has numerous torque settings so you won't strip the screws & it can drill holes. Can't be beat for the price! Thx Kev for the ArrowMax tips info in your other video. They work great!

I rebuilt my Tmaxx from the ground up with the L shaped allen keys. Made my entire arm hurt and couldn't write properly in school but it was worth it. Went from a basic Tmaxx to a OS engine and full aluminum skeleton with upgraded shocks and full stainless steel screw set. Damn it I miss that truck.

Whatever the hex size is on your vehicle I haven’t heard of, wheels with the same hex size should most likely do you right. Go to your local hobby shop for better advice. Hobby shops are a great source of information and can be a great community.

Oh! The horror! I can’t take it! The Allen wrenches! The pain! PTSD... I’ve been doing RC for years and I just got a set of hex/nut drivers this summer. Gosh, they make such a difference. Before the hexdrivers, I’d just destroy my hands with the Allen keys. I knew I was hurting myself, but I wanted my rc truck to function more than the ability to hold the transmitter lol. I never should have waited years to get a set of hexdrivers.

I have a 3.6v black and decker electric screwdriver that I got for a dollar I think, and sometimes I overpower it with a 7.2v NiMh/nicd stick pack. I like to use regular hexdrivers for the most part. I need to get a set of drill hex tips from MIP so I can use the overvolted electric driver for more types of screws with my rc’s.

You have to watch how hot the bolt bolt gets from the friction. Speed is not always a good thing.

Hey kev, I have a video suggestion for you, you should make some sort of Styrofoam wings like those Styrofoam airplanes attach them to the body on the rustler and hit a jump and see if you can get it to fly a little bit lol

If you are gonna put a screw in with an impact driver you should grease the screws or you will melt the plastic .

Kev, do you have a harbor freight in the UK? Here they sell a brand labeled Hercules and it reviews very favorably, compairs well to the Dewalt. Also Kev, no need to go to the gym, by the looks of your biceps 💪, the weight of your hands is a good starting point. I'm teasing!

Magnetic bits/drivers for me are 50% or more of the time are useless for me unfortunately. I try to use stainless hardware cause I use my RCs in water a LOT. Lol

Hey Kevin i know this is off the subject of this video slightly but my daughter needs a cheap combo set up i was thinking goolrc 3500kv 65A esc some of the combos come with a programme card is that really needed cheers pal or if you are unsure could you ask Steve please many thanks Barry

I just got a 3000 and something kv 45 amp goolrc system and if you don't have the programme card it comes on stock settings which are 100% throttle, 50% brake and 50% reverse The only problem I had at first that money had half throttle if I turned the controller on first so if you get it and it's only half throttle try turning the car on first

I coat my whole car with wd40 then hit it with the air gun it helps clean the car and also lubricant any moving parts very commonly used in rc car racing. Don’t know how much it’s gonna do with making the plastic more flexible.

I've been using the Dewalt 610 for a couple of years now around the house and mostly on my RC stuff. I set it on 1 or 2 and hand tighten the rest of the way if needed. Goofy vid but it gets the point across.
