Stop spending $10 on a chassis protector, make your own for about a $1. Razor RC chassis stickers at: teespring.com/... Chassis protector tape for $3/foot (1 foot can do two buggies): www.tognar.com...
Great tip, worth a shot! Once you cut the vinyl you can try heating it 30 seconds with a blow dryer - it will stick better and conform to irregular shapes and you should get fewer bubbles.
Great tip! Little trick I learned from the FliteTest guys, when cutting lay your blade down at an angle vs holding the handle vertically (might not have been suitable for trying to get the shot for the video). Having the handle and blade an an angle makes for easier cuts. Thanks for sharing!
I use cricut semi permanent vinyl . You can print on the mat finish stuff . Also they have this carbon fibre wanna be stuff on amaz like 8$ for a 5ft roll it's tough last a few trips to the track . Thanks fellow tinkerer!
I do the same to my RCs, but I separate the vinyl into 3 parts, front kick up, middle and back kick up. Usually only the front and back need to replace and very easily.
Great vid! I don't think that sheet would last as much as Protek or AE chassis protectors. Those things last forever and you can peel them off and stick them on again without any issues. I have tried using many vinyls out there. Nothing works like Protek or AE sheets. AE are even better than protek
