Just wanted to ask, how/ where did you learn to tune nitro, any recommendations?

I want to get into the hobby but every single time I would break something. I got it secondhand from a guy who competitively raced it in the Victorian nationals in Australia back in 2004. Everything it custom and parts are really hard to find (GS or RS RACING?🤔) I had it looked at years ago because it would randomly turn into gutters. I think it would act up because it's the old crystal fatuba receiver/transmitter. I've got a digital transmitter/receiver replacement and I'm hoping that fixes the problem. What tyres do you use? 🤔 I used the electrical tape but want more of a clean look. Surprisingly out of the 30+tyre's, nothing slides and this thing won podium consecutively over the year's so it's more than fast. I was told 160kph in 2nd in under 2 seconds... Any information and help would be greatly appreciated. 👍
