Cheers from deeeep in the Mtns of Upstate NY my Brother 💪🏼 Late 80's early 90's RC kid here. So MUCH has Changed!!! WOW. So i just bought a Losi Drag Roller... and came to your channel for whatever tidbits I could get. And I got some!!! That Nova body is stellar. But My Lord that Barracuda is the bomb. Nice Bro.
Your Cuda is so nice looking. I remember watching the movie Vanishing Point and the Challenger was so awesome. The Cuda is even nicer looking. Proline sure makes some nice bodies. Awesome paint job and the Max10 ESC. NICE ! Thanks for sharing. 💯
Wow Dave that’s awesome!! I’m glad you enjoyed it!! Comments like this keep me going! Heading out to film a drag racing vid today!! Hopefully will have it uploaded by tomorrow! Thank you so much for your support!!
The new administration is going to force a lot more people have to step into the RU-vid world, Hahahaha, OK so it’s more scary than funny. Don’t shoot the messenger.
Great video! Just started building crazy about doing it... ran into a couple of issues but trying to work through it... looking forward to more videos. 👍🏾👍🏾🤘🏽🤘🏽💪🏽💪🏽
@@RCOUTLAWS Will definitely stay tuned. I been into rc since I was about 16 and I'm 40 now. Lol Things have changed since my first "real" rc. GRASSHOPPER! Shortly after I got a RC10T for Christmas had the black aluminum chassis and stealth tranny was just coming out. Anyway keep it up bro. I was thinking about getting into flying maybe if you have some time you could send me in the right direction to get of the ground. Take care Merry Christmas!
@@mikepenn2520 same here and I’m now 42. Blackfoot was a truck that I had built with my dad around 13 or so. Now I’m outta control in this rc world and it’s a ton of good times!
great 1st video man! i have a slash 2wd converted w the max 10, im switching to cvd's on it. for some reason i cant keep them from snapping....every run out i lose one.
If they haven’t already they might start to soon. This rc drag racing hobby is exploding across the world. I’m excited to see how much cool stuff comes out over the next 6 months.
I got a dr10 and I notice you needed a flat surface for it really get down. Getting longer travel fronts shocks for it helped it ride that perfect height off the launch
@@RCOUTLAWS no problem. I street race so when I got into rc a few months ago found out how similar it is. Suspension and the shocks especially is always the key factor of making sure that body doesn’t jerk or twist and just allows those two back wheels to carry you straight till the front fully settles at least by half track.
Sweet RC’s man, looks like the straight line scene could be addictive! Subbed, looking forward to more of your videos. Stay safe and enjoy your time with your kids - way cool 👍
I watched cash days for RC cars, ohio, SCR, but scrolling down I found a drifting track and there's some really skilled performance from young the old...€20 buy in...check it out..., you nova , the gunmetal grey is beautiful...
Do you think there is a market for these cars built and ready to go? I enjoy the build more than using them because I'm always afraid of tearing them up.
If you go on Amazon….. get the heavier gauge aluminum foil tape …. They use it for ductwork repair on HVAC ducts …. Line your body in the fender Wells with 2 layers of tape …. And you’ll probably stop the paint from rubbing through when the tires rub ….. I did it with my Felony before I ran it for the first time …..and it worked very well for me ……zero rub marks ….. give it a try…….nice cars dude …. ☮️~~~~~ out. 😎👍🏻
That’s a good idea that stuff is probably more durable then any kind of normal tape. I will definitely give that a try! Thanks for the tip my man. I appreciate you watching bud! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
@@RCOUTLAWS I was born and raised in Nassau County…. Near the medical center…… now?? Retired living a gr8 life in SW Florida……. It’s all good…… ☮️~~~~~ out! ✌🏻😎
Requesting advice if I may - seeing how you have many years in the hobby which is fairly new to me. Thanks in advance, Outlaw. The simple backstory is where I bomb around, I don't have any smooth roadways around my job site, so the 'drag car' is out of my scope even though I own a Bandit, but I'd really like to make a hot rod (the classic stance of some gap in the wheel wells, especially the rear) instead. I wouldn't classify the project as a basher though seeing how I wouldn't jump it or hit extreme terrain, I guess it'd just be a simple yet durable dirt oval type of RC for the most part because its main purpose is to entertain myself via my dog seeing how she loves to chase after it and has absolute fun while getting maximum exercise. Yeah, the Bandit does the trick as a buggy, but I have the itch for a hot rod car version. I'm not interested in the rally type either. - I'm wondering if I should keep the Bandit in one piece and find a 2WD Slash HCG to shorten the width with new Bandit arms or would it be too tall of a platform for a hot rod version? I have a feeling telling me that you may suggest I go through the motions of doing the Slash-Bandit conversion, but simply raise the suspension via shocks to balance out the hot rod slight rake while having decent overall ride height for the pebbly terrain I'm stuck with. - Just spitballing, but would it be possible to create an 4WD hot rod with my spare Slash 4x4 (after a LCG conversion)? With Bandit arms all around for the narrow track and simply cut down the driveshafts in the front like the rear assembly or is there more to it that I'm missing at the front or all around with that Slash 4x4? - Also there's a DR10 body for sale in my area for cheap. Would that fit a Slash-Bandit or would I be better off with the Proline body such as your Nova shell? I suppose the challenge would be to get Traxxas or Proline mounts to match up with the DR10 holes which probably isn't an easy task (I want to stay away from magnetic mounts).
Hey great stuff! Just trying to get into the no prep in my area but it’s not too good here yet. Just wondering what wheels are on the Cuda? I might have missed it but didn’t think you said. Thanks!
What part of the island are you at? Im in queens im tryin to get into the drag racing scene too. Its hard to find anyone to go rcing with round here man
From 1 Joe to another, Just caught your show, very informative.I’m looking to get into R/C drag racing here on the Treasure Coast of Florida.Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Hey joe! Well first you wanna choose a class to race in. What my cars are set up for is the street eliminator class there’s are a couple of others one a little slower and one way faster. Then choose a car whether it’s ready to run or something you can convert like a buggy or a slash which is what I’ve done here. If you get jammed up lmk and I will try my best to help ya! Good Luck!!!!
Hey RC. I am truly a Mopar fan. Really like that Cuda body. Really looks to scale. Like the hell cat decal on that one. Not really familiar with RC stuff. But can you shortin that rearend on one of those RC drag cars? Just askin
Love your Video especially your Blue Cuda I want to get into this hobby competitive wise I do not have anything what would you recommend as to where to start Find a car that has been converted already then adjust from there or Bild from Scratch. Traxxas or DR10 to me seems like the Traxxas cars are a bit better for Drag racing. Love the Scale look for sure. Thank you
Hey thanks bud. Yes there’s a few ways you could go. I own a dr10 and it’s a great entry level platform that you can easily upgrade to be a super fast and competitive car. You can also build your own from scratch if you already have a 2wd slash or buggy you can even convert it to a carbon fiber chassis if you like to build. They also sell a dr10 kit which is basically a roller that you would have to assemble then put whatever motor esc servo and transmitter you want in. I went the slash route because I had 5 of them and 3 which I wasn’t using anymore. I don’t feel a huge difference between the dr10 or the converted traxxas cars. If you already have a car you can convert or just like to build then definitely go that route. If you don’t wanna build from scratch pick up a dr10. I’ve also heard rumors of other major rc companies possibly releasing no prep drag cars in the near future too. I will be converting a slash and uploading the video this week. Good luck my man!
@@RCOUTLAWS I actually was Turned onto a Brand New VXL in hobby shop for 259 so Now I have my basis just need chassis Wheels and Body for the time being.
So I think lol you might becoming a bad influence lol as I bought the Same wheelibars you have on your Cuda and the Undercover Drag wing Prostreet. On a Motor and ESC upgrade to a Race type cannot make up my Mind was thinking of the XR8 SCT you have in your Nova. What might you sugest that would not break the bank but certianly a Nice Drag Racing Upgrade?
Awesome cars, man! I see your Barracuda has a custom billboard stripe, does anyone make a billboard stripe that says 440 instead of Hemi for the Proline Barracuda body? My brother has several Plymouth Barracudas, one of which is a 1971 and it has a 440 billboard stripe, I'm trying to do a recreation of his car. Thanks so much in advance and thanks for the great videos!
Yup. I like sharing we all can learn from each other. That’s why I’m here. I wanna own a drag rc to my list and one way is to see what everyone is doing right. 🇨🇱👍
Any of the main online hobby stores like horizon hobby carry them and the local ones in your neighborhood. The only one available right now is the team associated dr10 but Losi and traxxas are releasing their ready to run versions next month.
Awesome bro thank you! Gonna be filming some running the drags footage this week and a carbon fiber slash build in the next 2 weeks! Any questions I’d be glad to help!
@@RCOUTLAWS thanks man!! Some friends that I go to the track with (real cars) bought my traxxas drag lights and started a drag series local to me. I have some drift cars and race a vintage trans am style RC stuff . And short course. So I'll watch your videos to learn how to convert them 🤘 I like your style dude
If you don’t want to buy a ready to run car there are people selling prebuilt cars on eBay and there’s a lot of cars popping up for sale on Facebook in the rc no prep group pages.
@@RCOUTLAWS but no websites to recreate real drag cars b/c my uncle has a fox body mustang drag car that’s really cool and I want to try and recreate it
@@RCOUTLAWS that’s awesome, I just want to get into it. But I don’t have any base kits. What’s your best suggestion to start and what all would I need and cost.
@@jasongordon6950 you can start out with a rtr. Team associated makes one with battery and charger for around $380 or the new Losi 22s which will be available by May and traxxas is also releasing one in may too. They are all similar is specs
New to the channel man!! Nice freaking build I seen ther demon in the back also b^tching build!! Love it plan on getting into this sometime when funds are a available!!
I was just wondering if you heard of a website or something that shows you how to do that or I might just have to sell them to somebody who has one of those funny cause I thought I could put them on another car but I guess not I don't know this is a way to do it I guess I would have to take the rear end of one of those drag cars I don't know
Great Vid Bro, Hey your rear wings installed wrong it should be at an small angle up for down pressure.. I know (Proline) needs better instructions 🏁💯🤘🏼
Im not sure I don't own an x01. The wheelbase is 13.2" and the width is 11" in the front and 11.5 in the rear. Its made to fit the 2wd traxxas slash and the associated DR10.
Hahaaa!! You can set your shocks up with pieces of fuel tubing so they don’t bottom out. I also put some gorilla tape on the inside of my body front and rear to prevent paint rubbing off if they do bottom out on your lid.
@@jdssurf yes the tubes are the trick! You can use a piece on the shock shaft internally to set your shocks at a lower height and some on the shaft externally to prevent rubbing or bottoming out. I use the tape in the front so it doesn’t rub your paint off if the tires happen to touch while turning. Also depends on how low your body posts are set. The lower the body the less air that will get under the car and possibly blow you over at top speed.
Hli guess you from the island Long Island Strong Island whatever run into you on the way out there and RC circuit and I have a bunch of cars myself that I turned into drag races but I'm really not into it no more a lot of parts but I was wondering like you know those funny cause they sold years ago that I think they would have John Force I got slicks from then I'm wondering if they sell like a kit to switch those over to regular cause those slicks because I bought them they're expensive and they don't fit any other car
whats up instigator! im still at it how about you guys? I see that badass car your beating the streets up in! Do you wanna race it would make for a sweet vid!!
Just found your channel......i'm an old racer but some new friends have dragged me back into the game. I've traditionally been an off road and oval dirt racer, raced alot in the 80's and early 90's but never lost track of the industry......but this r/c drag racing thing has me hooked. Doing research and getting ready to make a choice on chassis......good vid, nice channel. i subbed. Sub me back if you get a chance. P.S...that Cuda body looks evil.
Yea its awesome! takes a lot of work to tune these things but thats what I like the most. I'm gonna be doing a new drag build in the next two weeks once all the parts arrive. It's gonna be a carbon fiber pro street eliminator chassis kit. keep an eye out for the vid should be mint! I will hit your channel up!
@Gravity Racer GT see, now i'm totally down with THAT....stock class, modified class....etc. Give me an even playing field, 2s lipo, or 3s lipo....same c rating, etc.....brushed/brushless only, x-number of turns/kv rating, etc....leave it down to chassis tuning and driving......hell yes. Have an open class for those with unlimited budgets and the resources to build high buck rods, etc......but i promise you that stock class will be the biggest class...
Hi Joe I think it's cool man yeah for the island bro I one day I'd like to run into you find out ways things are because I have seven cars that back then when I got into him like four years ago there was no Drake cause I'm nothing like that so we my boss was trying to make him looking to drink ours so we bought the blower that sticks out of the hood slicks and hundred-dollar motor I'm sure that fits the motor now you know I bought one of those Dynamite Motors was a hundred bucks brand new still in the car never even use I don't even know how to use that s*** I don't know why I bought it I used it once and it threw it on the Shelf I like painted the bodies and threw it on the show now I got seven of them I got a Willy's 41 Willy's I got a 70 Camaro I have a Mustang I got the monster truck whatever that trucks name hope bunch of parts and stuff whatever but I want to get that d10 whatever it is what they want 400 sometimes I think that's too much money I mean I put the Traxxas I forgot what it was that was 210 and that came with the control and everything ran out of box ready to go and I was pretty good I forgot what they call it looks like sand rail but you don't have a dragon for money so I think that's cool I'm into that that makes it more interesting you know you want to have the fastest car in the makes it a lot more interesting and more fun it's like real drag racing you know that's what's cool about it you just don't get hurt like I used to do in the eighties I don't know how it is to hit a dead bag I had Chevelles Camaros monza's with Big Blocks and I used to do it all then I grew up next Islip Speedway
@@RCOUTLAWS well I really don't know what I'm doing with these cause I don't know how to program all my cars I f***** up the programs I have the same car you said you got what is it the gravedigger that call was an animal man it would it was going making donuts the farm and came to my house without my house is on fire that's how much smoke it was making for me doing donuts with this thing what happened now ain't working for some reason I don't know if I unprogrammed it wrong or what the hell I did I don't know how to program these things I got all these cars and I don't know how to program ridiculous I just real cause a different ride in a minute but she's little f****** I can't get together man I don't know
