Hi I have not run the scale seven outboard the quality is excellent of the lower unit. The drawback is the motor cover is very narrow a inrunner motor will not fit under the cover. Sam Hailstrom has running footage of his scale seven on a zipkits g30 tunnel hull
I have 2 Tfl geared outboards on a fishing type cruiser boat but haven't run it yet. They are heavy and had to make a sliding battery tray to put far up the front of the hull for balance.
Check to see if your outboards have the upgraded bearings on the output shaft the brass bearing holder has been upgraded to hold a thrust bearing thar is larger in diameter
@boatwerks thanks mate , will check it. Got them a year ago. Rc boat bitz has all the parts . I hear the early ones chew gears especially on 4 s . I'll just use 3 s . Should have went with 1 large tfl outboard on 6s . Cheaper and easier especially for weight.
@boatwerks just checked , I have the later ones with the thrust bearing. Otherwise I can get the parts from Rc boat bitz. He's got everything, I should have shares in that place.
