You gotta love the totally unrelated music during the unnecessary slo-mo replays. They give the whole video a cheerful vibe, said no one ever.

The slow Mo replays kill me, they’re not needed and they delay watching the normal speed videos.

I thank you for making the time stamps so we can skip past the slow motion.

The scale pilots never ever disappoint when it comes to delivering pilot induced crashes.

Would be better without the replays in slowmo.

So many beautiful planes being flown by pilots who really should be still learning their skills on trainer aircraft.

Unluck show and flying. Something tells me that the patch surrounded by long grass is a bonus!!

I think the slo motion sections are great! Interesting to see the control errors that lead to the crashes.

replay was way too long for each crash, good videos but please, cut that muzac out and kill the length of the replays. Otherwise it's ok

The viperjet guy made a rookie mistake - you never put down elevator in on a bounce. It leads to porpoising with ever increasing bounces until something breaks - an inevitable outcome. You either hold in a bit of up and ride it out or go around. Lots of full scale aircraft have been wrecked like this.

I agree with the previous comments, slo-mos are not needed. If i wanted to see the crash again I could just rewind it. It just makes the video much longer than it needs to be.

Dauntless pilot did some quick thinking to suck up the gear when the engine quit. Might have got off easy with that in the long grass

Now...first we have to define what a crash really is, what's minor damage and what's major damage to an RC Pilot (60 years of crashing models). First anything that costs less than the price of a prop, that's not even any of the above, normal wear and tear. Minor Damage: a torn-out landing gear or a broken hinge, repaired in under an hour with CA, Epoxy. Major Damage, two or three days of easy work putting it back together, two bottles of CA, a full tube of Epoxy and some iron on covering from the shelf. A crash can be defined as being able to put the entire plane back in the box that it was built from, in approximately the same number of pieces you started with. That or it now fits the back of the car easier. Either of those Definitions work.

I just don’t see these videos as entertainment or humorous. People obviously go to great effort and no little expense to build what are generally excellent models. To see them crash and be damaged is a great shame and I feel sorry for them. Anything that seeks to profit in any way from personal misfortune is highly indicative of a sick mind.

Thanks for sharing this collection of RC mishaps... we've all been there at one time or another. Perhaps some of the countless hours required to build these beautiful scale warbirds should be devoted to learning to fly them? Just a thought. Happy flying.

After flying R/C for a number of years, and having a great deal of fun making friends, building and flying, I finally realized they literally ALL have a date on them...

Nice video, crashes are tough, but they do teach us how to be better pilots

Video and editing = 10 Landings, not so much, but good effort on a few of them like #2 was almost heroic...but not quite.

You might forget where the ground is while watching your plane , but the ground never forgets. It will be right there waiting.....

It seems like all these crashes happend in one day...at the same club. Looks like there could be much radio interference arround there....especially with that taal tower in close range...

I only fly foamies and gliders...but it seems deceptively difficult to land these larger models

Did you HAVE to replay the eNtIrE crash sequence in slo motion for each of these segments??? My best friend was the right arrow to jump past thse endless segments...

Looks like RC pilots need to learn about aggravated stalls. Also, high and fast doesn't work while landing, see Southwest Flight at John Wayne Airport in CA.

If you spend hundreds of hours an tens of thousands of crowns building a beautiful plane, it makes sense to ask an experienced pilot to fly it.

The pitts didn't break its prop! Didn't know why the pilot was doing donuts it's not a rally car.

the common thing is see across all these crashes is how inexperienced the pilots are.....they are all making the same common basic mistakes, getting disorientated and generally making really poor decisions.....and all while throwing away thousands of $$$$$$......

love to see that people still build their own planes and are still flying gas/nitro planes I think the arfs and foamies have destroyed the best part of the hobby and that is flying a plane you built and I have seen way to many fires with the high voltage lipo batteries plus why would anyone want to fly something so cheaply made it is not satisfying to fly store bought china trash to me nice video

It really hurt to see the two Albatros crash, as I am building one now... What caused the German glider with all the blue on the wing to go in? the rudder looked locked over.. did the battery die? or loss of radio signal? Really liked that plane... that hit was devastating...

Why have we got to have the slow-motion version after each crash??

I have a good idea about the amount of time and money that has gone into those airplanes. Therefore, it is somewhat bitter/sweet entertainment watching these crashes.

That last one. classic PIO. pilot induced oscillation. don't do that, dude!

A few had aircraft failures. the Second one, had a airframe brake in the rear fuselage. The orange glider had a pushrod problem.. but the rest were mostly pilot error. And that last jet was some kind of issue with the power cut. The pitts and geebees are almost always nosers. no idea why he was farting around with those spins.

It should be a requirement to only fly the training type of plane for a month or two after crashing one of those big scale models. The failures that hurt the most are the in air mechanical/battery/radio failures. That one crash with the giant Extra that elevator snapped into the field was very familiar to me as that happened to me trying to come out of a series of violent vertical spins and instead of pulling out with with full power like I should have, it was about half and snap rolled on me with just the elevator input. That's also the nature of that type of plane when the C/G is setup more towards the rear for those hovering maneuvers. That was definitely my most feared mistake to make.

Beautiful and mostly hand made one-of-a-kind planes. Looks like nitro engine failure is the #1 cause of most crashes since most planes looked like heavy construction, so zero chance of gliding them very far without thrust. #2 crash cause looked like failed linkages/servo arm. Only 1 crash looked like a radio jam (the plane that darted down from a pretty normal flight path).

How come so many crashes on the same day in a single event?

Someone needs to come out with a fully functioning RC plane crash emergency response unit, complete with fire suppression foam.

Too bad. The last plane could have been saved with a go-around after the first jump. By pushing the nose down, it only jumped higher on the second attempt and then got a stall on the right wing which caused the plane to roll and crash. Sad

always amazed that these folks build these big beautiful scale planes and put shit box engines in them that ultimately cause the crash!

hey guys these are expncive models don't you at least want to learn how to fly them and check all functions of the plane first before you hurt yourselves or others or worse

mostly not very good flyers but some were just unlucky

The pilot of the Giles plane did a great job bringing it down after its catastrophic engine failure, IMO.
