This is my Trommel I scratch built for my 120 scale construction site, really pleased with the outcome it grades the sand and stone really well and adds another dimension to my yard layout.
Hello) Your trommel is amazing Simple and work perfectly How did you fixed the pipe on the construction, so it doesn't move, and how did you connect motor to the pipe? If you could make me some short videos,it would be awesome
@@Rc24hobby the motor is connected via a rubber belt, the motor shaft has a pulley wheel similar in shape to that found on an alternator on a car only smaller
Hi Terry it has a 12v 40 rpm gear motor, i run it via a mains transformer the belt is from a local auto spares shop it sits in a groove around the circumference of the tube hope this helps thanks for watching and commenting
Thanks for replying. I've tried alot of different variations this weekend to fit the motor to my trommel to no avail. Do you have any close up pictures or another video of the mechanics of your gear/motor setup, pulleys etc etc. Need inspiration as I feel I've tried everything 😭😭
Hi Reuben, as i recall the three sizes were Fine 2mm Medium 6mm coarse 13mm all purchased via suppliers on ebay, there are charts online that give the conversion of sizes in mm to gauge size which is often used for wire mesh, hope this helps and thank you for watching
