In this video, I review the Eflite/Horizon Hobby Convergence VTOL Aircraft, and maiden fly it in hover mode just like an FPV quad.
This video tutorial is used to reference and supplement the manual for installing a radio receiver in a model / RC plane.
The radio I used is the radio link AT9S Pro and I will review it soon, I really like it for the most part.
VTOL aircraft fly just like both an airplane and a helicopter, using its tilt rotor brushless motors to achieve vertical takeoff and landing.

It would be cool to see a plane just like this, but with the tail propeller rotating as well.

Yeah I’ve been thinking of how to make that work, the geometry gets complicated once you start figuring out how it would need to tilt

Okay I’ve been working on that idea for a bit now and think I’ve come up with the solution. The rear motor needs to tilt down, and the front motors tilt upwards. This will allow the thrust angles to align as needed for both forward and vertical flight. I’m sketching up some blueprints now to see if I an make it real

Your Radiolink transmitter and receiver will put out its channels in the standard non-Spektrum order of A, E, T, R, etc. It was not exactly made clear at about 4.00 if that was the issue confusing you? I am presuming that the stock flight stabilizer requires the Spektrum standard T, A, E, R, etc? Most Chinese flight stabilizers require A, E, T, R input order. (Unless provided with a specific 3.3v DSM serial socket.)

Futaba S-FHSS protocol radios require the unusual reversed throttle as well as Radiolink radios. I don't know if there are any others. Also interesting that the Convergence is still available. I thought that the XK X450 had just about killed it and the Mini Convergence in the marketplace.

Yup, you’re right. It was just the difference between standard and spektrum sequence

I saw a mini version of them at the hobby shop. The one I got was an open box and actually a tiny bit cheaper than the new mini version

@@meareAaron check facebook marketplace and RC buy/sell groups. I’ve had good luck with them and since there aren’t many buyers it’s easy to find some deals. Just find one locally, shipping is usually so expensive it’s not worth it because of how large the box dimensions are
