1949-51 RCA Victor Radio Model 8X71- Shoddy repairs were done on this radio back in 1991 with a busted up plastic cabinet. A 12AT6 tube was installed in place of the required 6AQ5 Detector/A.F. Amp tube and one triode was bad on the dual triode 19J6 mixer/oscillator tube.

They made plastic radios in the 1940's and '50s? I presumed their cabinets back then were mostly bakelite, wood or metal. Nice repair there. You tidied the radio up and made it happy again. 😎
