+Nick Principe yeah but I think the sweet spot is coming from the new dual boot tablets that come with Windows and Android. Retina displays, enough ram and storage to get a little more of a load done and the price is dirt cheap, cheaper than a low end laptop.
Nick Principe I know they're very tempting, especially the new teclast tablets. My only concern with them is build quality and having to buy them direct from another country. I was hoping to see them pop up on Amazon at a better price than I'm seeing now. These middlemen at Amazon etc. are whacking a fair bit on top. I'm in the UK so as always, we get the best stuff last in our stores :)
+Clay Mann They seem to have good customer satisfaction, but if something does go wrong ( any electronic can have this possibility) then it is harder to make it right. It's kind of a risk vs reward thing. Getting a great deal on a windows 10 tablet vs getting a well known western brand that can help you out if something happens. Teclast and cube have decent build quality I hear though, or at least in their more popular tablets Still. I think these budget windows 10 machines are good deals anyways, it wasn't not that long ago where you had to pay much more to get a usable windows device and to add to that windows 10 is great as both a tablet and laptop/desktop OS
Nick Principe I completely agree with you. I mean I could Google any product, no matter how good the reputation and turn up people complaining about it failing in a forum somewhere. So the odd comment I've read about teclast having things like the screen not fit quite right so it has a little wobble to it, I'm sure those things are in a tiny minority. Ya know I've never had a Windows tablet. I've been using Android tablets for years now to do the mobile thing and a big honking desktop PC with Windows when I'm sat at the desk. It's going to be interesting using Windows on a tablet. I'm slightly tempted to go for one of the big 13" tablets and I heard a comment about a honking great 19" tablet coming out next year. My eyesight isn't great so bigger attracts me heh
My cambio screen was broken because I exposed it to subzero temperature, but I repaired it. I love this device a lot. This is 11.6 screen, a great thing for kids to study. Good speed. I adapted it with hybrid OS. I use it for remote operating my work equipment. Gives a good screen real-estate. Good for gaming too in full screen mode.
I got one on ebay for $60. So far I'm actually pretty impressed. Don't expect to run any graphic intensive stuff but It handles photoshop CS6 like a pro. I also like how it has a USB port so I can use my external HD since storage space is obviously low. Definitely opt for the 11.6 inch model as the screen resolution is better.
I bought this tablet at Walmart.com for $99. I received it on 4/12/2017. This tablet is great for the price (Windows 10 Home costs more than this tablet!). This tablet runs Windows 10 Home, obviously. The first thing you have to do when you buy this tablet is charge it up to 100% (according to the box), then power it up and set it up, and update it to the latest version of Windows. I recommend that you delete the Windows.old folder when you are done updating this device, because it uses a couple of gigabytes of space. Generally, you can run pretty much any Windows app on this (performance is variable). With light to moderate use, I get 4 to 5 hours of battery life. I highly suggest hibernating or shutting down this tablet when not in use because on sleep mode a lot of the battery gets drained. Overall, I won't complain at all especially for the cost of $99 at Walmart (as of 4/13/17). I would give this device a 4.8/5 rating. I will update this review when something comes up. If you have questions I would gladly answer them.
Can i use a stylus with it? Would it be good for drawing? L9oking at 10 inch tablets or the more pricy ipad or a chromebook. I haven't seen any good reviews on the tablets that they break down after two months.
Be aware! Modern RCA is NOT the RCA of yesterday. RCA is now a licensed brand linked to a China-based company. There is no Radio Corporation of America (as it were back in the 80's, 90's, and early 2ks.

+Lon Seidman - I'm looking into a RCA tablet and was curious if you still have this tablet and can do testing with XBox One stream to PC performance. I have seen a few articles where people have stated it worked well but I haven't seen any video reviews.
Anyone used it long term? And can it be used for drawing. I do digital art not pro or anything and on a budget. Looking at the Galileo 11.5 screen one. I've seen mixed reviews and don't want to buy one if doesn't work. I would use for streaming, internet drawing and listening to music.
Greetings I have a RCA W1162 ... brand new but the keyboard and trackpad are not working. I know the tablet detects the detachable keyboard as it switches to pc mode when connected. can you please assist me.
Walmart has an 11.6 Cambio for like $160 and the specs seem like they're the same as the Target one, but the keyboard looks different. And does the smaller 10.1 version run about the same? Walmart has 2 versions of the 10.1 inch, looks like one with Windows 8 and one with Windows 10, but the Windows 8 one is like $10 more expensive, it doesn't make sense. It'd be cool if you could make a video explaining the difference between the different Cambio models out there, RCA makes it kinda confusing.
I was wondering if the tablet in the review is actually the 10.1" model. From what I've seen otherwise, the keyboard "bezel" is noticeably larger on the 11.6" compared to what is shown in the video. It's okay. Nice build, but the front camera won't work. Something about another program is using it, no idea what that means or how to fix it. I literally just got the tablet and the display screen keeps going black and showing a message that the Display Screen is not Responding but recovered, alot. The keyboard and tablet disconnect from time to time, I just detach and reattach the two and they sync back up. It's a little glitchy, but I guess you get what you pay for. I got mine from Walmart for $160. Not sure if it needs to update or if the tablet is messing up. I also dislike Windows 10, wish it had Windows 8. Any suggestions?
I have the 10.1 Inch version, and I kept getting Blue Screen of Death error screens, and blank screens with the display adapter stopping, for some reason the driver for the display adapter that the tablet comes with causes it to crash a lot, so I just removed the Intel display adapter, though they have a more up-to-date version which you could try out and see if that fixes the problem. The updated driver is at downloadcenter.intel.com/product/85552/Intel-HD-Graphics-for-Intel-Atom-Processor-Z3700-Series It's version 15.33.43.4425. Have no idea what could be causing the issues with the front facing camera or the keyboard though.
I noticed there's so many convertible tablet like this in this ever growing market, I still haven't found one that is just right. Can you recommend the best of them all? In term of budget and performance. I noticed you review so many of these hybrid laptop, amongst that you have review so far. Which one do you recommend? I noticed most if not all have bay trail processor and similar specs.

Baytrail is so underrated, great chip that many companies like RCA can afford to build pretty nice 2 in 1 devices like this. Best of Baytrail is excelent Miracast support which is great for watching wireless movies streamed from your tablet to your TV. You just need the Microsoft Wireless Display adapter.
Whenever I installed a program to another drive it always installs a lot to the original drive like the Common files, Registry, etc and takes longer to access than normal plus Windows update alone after some time will use the remainder of that 32GB and you will find yourself uninstalling every program you have installed and eventually run out of room to update leaving you with a computer that has no anti-virus other than defender, but when that time occurs you can always run OpenELEC and install KODI... I have a Dell Mini I did this with.
+MrBrymstond this is where you want to make sure the SD support goes up to 128gb, those little cards are coming down in price fast and they'll make these cheaper tablets a little more useful It might help to get a little smarter about knowing where the bloat is in Windows. I'm sure there will be tools that help target that exact job before long if they're not already out there.
Justin Higgins I wasn't trying to say you could not use them. Just that it's a good thing to look out for. Older tablets, like every single one I own lol have 32GB limits. That's not something I realised when buying them. I'd love to see this micro SD card that's two terabytes, I'm thinking those came to you in a dream.
Justin Higgins you couldn't find them because they don't exist. Perhaps you saw some fake listings like I mention in the next paragraph? 128GB is a nice sweet spot to aim for on a tablet. 200GB do exist but ouch at the price. You'll find plenty of listings for 256GB cards that seem to be at 16GB prices, they are all fake. They report that they are 256GB but will fail the moment you write above the 8GB or 16GB, whatever it really is. Amazon is flooded with them as is Ebay.
Man I just seen a ematic 11.6 for a 129 bucks on Walmart I would buy it tomorrow except it has the bay trail and not cherry trail CPU if I can find same thing as a the ematic 11.6 with cherry trail for 129 that's what I'm buying. and if its good I'll buy my daughter one for Christmas .
Im quite surprised by these cheap detachables. I just got the $250 Insignia version which is nearly identical specs except it has a 1080p screen. Its pretty snappy for normal use, and things like playing music while web browsing. I had a video playing on an external 1080p monitor without issues, playing sound through bluetooth, and still browsing amazon. It struggles when installing files and most games besides ones like Hotline Miami or Binding of Issac.. I had full intention of returning and getting something better, I thought why not try it since best buy is cool with their return policy.... I just might keep it though.
+iLLexian also the keyboard feels like cheap materials, but yea the click action and travel is better than my expensive ultrabook I received from work. Track pad is ok/poor though.
+iLLexian haha it also has stereo speakers, so that $50 is definitely getting used up vs this one. But ya the internals are the same. Design is very close too.(replying to myself instead of editing because of the 9#&^ bug)
+iLLexian aannd another thing... agreed on the streaming gaming content. The laptop is great for that since it supports 5Ghz wifi connection. Very fast and smooth, assuming the network can handle it.Battery life is great so far as well. It should be though, low power parts and at this one has a 9000mAh battery. pretty big for a small device.
Exact same tablet for 59.99 should I buy? I want to be able to play sims, roblox, and watch RU-vid videos on it. How many sims expansion packs could I fit on there? Btw im using an external hardrive to use for sims. (EDIT - I have about 12 expansion packs)
Yea the price lowered I’m buying one for $60 on eBay and yes you can add more storage by buying micro sd card u can get a 128gb sd card and yes I’ve seen video you can play games very well in low settings or medium settings
Just curious out of all the laptops/laptop tablet hybrids you've reviewed, I'm not expecting to run hardcore, demanding games, but which would you said preformed the best when it came to gaming and overall performance on the inexpensive side of things.
I just bought one and the screen is defective. looks like rca is cutting corners and not doing QC checks. I read a lot of reviews of others with lots of issues. taking it back hopefully enchange for one that is not defective.

close. the flex has a higher res. flex: 1920 x 1080 vs Cambio: 1366 x 768 flex has a higher megapixel camera flex front: 2mp vs Cambio front: 1mp flex back: 5mp vs cambio back: 2mp and obviously the button placement are different but, other than what i have mention. They are pretty much the same.
This is a great tablet to remote access another pc. I use it to remote access my gaming pc. For the pc you're trying to connect to it only works with windows 10 pro.
