I followed your instructions but when I clicked on Assist nothing happened. It showed that I was definitely clicking on it by word turning slightly darker. It just did not work.
What is the exact model of your device? Sometimes, different models and android versions give different results. Please, let me know the model number and android version.
This does work on some devices I just did this in 2024. And it worked perfectly. If it doesn't work for you you just gotta try another option or you're out of luck sadly 😢. I'm gonna try this on another phone I have hopefully it works. I get tired of scammers selling locked phones at yard sales saying it works and it does work but when I do a factory reset it wants their account. Or they promise you they know the password but they actually don't.
