thank you! i tune the reso head a minor 3rd (3 semitones) in pitch above the batter head

this might be a dumb question, but the little stick wavy thing you do at 1:14 , does that serve a purpose other than just for fun/visuals? like does it help the rest of the pit with keeping time?
