hello, bakit po after ko icheck kung srb or drb after comapring AsMax to AsActual ang lumabas ayy isa lng po syang SRB, mas mababa po si AsAct kay AsMax, pa correct naman po ako salamat pooo

Isn't tension bars needs to yield first before compression bars can?.... I thought the creteria should to be to assume; tension bars yield and compression bars don't yield and to obtain strains of compression steel from strain-similarity diagram

Yeah. I guess this is for investigation or solving purposes only. In reality, Tension steel must yield in DRB. as it is in principle that as As+=a+ and (a) has limit that is why we need Cs.. puting many steel in tension is useless as it will become compression controlled.. x for economy x for Strength

Not always tension bar yields. Compression bars sometimes need due to concrete is not enough to resist compression force.

Hello po, I know this is late pero meron akung question regarding sa pagdetermine if ang paganalysis natin is either DRB o SRB. Paanu namin malaman if ever yung question ay i analyze namin is DRB o SRB ???

posible po ba na magyield ang T1 and di magyield ang T2?o di kaya di magyield ang T1 and magyield ang T2? or kung dapat ba sabay sila pareho na once magyield ang Tension bar(T1+T2) yield sila pareho (T1 and T2) or kung hindi magyiled ay di rin sila magyield pareho(T1 and T2).

Possible na di magsabay mag yield ang Tension Bars. Of thats the case, una mag yield si T2 (yong extreme bars). Makikita mo kung mag summation of Moment kasi mahaba ang moment arm ni T2, kasi mas stress siya kesa kay T1.

Sir, i would just like to clarify that the beam is designed or analyzed as doubly reinforced if/when the actual steel ratio exceeds the maximum, am I right? In your solution, I didn't see you compare the steel ratios. Just asking. Thanks

In your 2nd example, how can you fit 10-28mm (1 layer) in a 320 mm width of beam?

@ time stamp 11:28, you mentioned fs' does not yield when it it greater than fy, then @ 13:42 where fs' is the same, you mentioned it is ok. Please clarify.
