RCI Private Island Beach Dive CocoCay, Bahamas 

I recently went on the Scuba Diving Excursion on CocoCay, Bahamas. Below is the description of the excursion from Royal Caribbeans website. First, I want to tell you some things that are not in the description.
There seems to be very limited spots (Maybe 4-6) for this excursion if you are going to be renting gear. All the spots were booked when I asked about the excursion on the boat but was able to book it though because I had brought my own gear.
Take the tram to the dive shop as it is a bit of a hike especially if you have your own gear.
To get to the dive site, you will have to walk 50 yds or so to get to the water. From there you will wade out to a spot where you can float. Once there, a jet ski will come pick you up in this basket and drive you out to the dive site where you will wait for all the other divers to be brought out. There is only one jet ski so you will be bobbing in the water for a while either by the beach or at the dive site. I say that because my head got a little toasty from being exposed to the sun for an extended period of time.
As you may expect, the gear there is not maintained the best. One of the divers was having a problem with his BCD and they were trying to fix it before just switching it out. Not a big deal usually, but the rest of us were all standing there with all our gear on getting ready to head down to the water.
With all of that, I would say it took us at least 30-40 min from when we geared up to actually getting under water. Dont forget that you will have to walk back up the beach after your dive.
It seemed like a lot of work to go on a 45 min dive. The reef is not in good condition and there were times where we were so shallow that we were floating on the service. Glad I went but it is a one and done for me.

Important details and advisements
Guests must be certified in scuba diving and have been on a dive within the last two years, in order to participate. Certified divers must present a valid certification "C" card. Discover Scuba Diving is not accepted. Only tank and weights are included. All minors must be accompanied onto the island and have a parent or legal guardian complete the waiver form. Guests between the ages of 12 and 14 must dive with a ticketed supervising adult. Guests between the ages of 15 and 17 must have a supervising adult on the private destination who is required to take them to the briefing and meet them at the end of the dive. Guests must consider their physical fitness level and medical history when determining whether this tour is appropriate. Guests with cardiac conditions, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, other heart or respiratory conditions, or any other medical condition must take particular caution when selecting a tour with snorkeling/swimming elements since such water activities could be subject to adverse sea conditions such as high winds, waves, and sea current. Guests who have concerns must consult with their personal physician before engaging in any activity that may be strenuous for them, particularly those involving snorkeling/swimming elements. Pregnant guests and those with back/neck problems should not select this tour.
