By far the best RCI skid plate installation video ever made. Have been watching other videos but this one is 100% better. No fast forwarding to confuse anyone (especially me), and thorough details of explanation. Thank you. I am actually installing the skid plate onto my 07 Tundra right now.
This video is really good! Great job!! Just received my RCI skid yesterday for my 2013 Rock Warrior and will be installing it tomorrow. Went with the raw aluminum look. For the cost I really wanted it noticed. I really can't say enough about the quality of this piece!! Great looking truck broseph!!!
Your video is excellent! The only problem is that my 2021 Tundra SR5 Crew Max didn’t came with the skid plate. I guess once I received my RCI I will figure it out. Thanks a-lot.
is there enough room to change oil filter with the oil filter door? looks like it would be pretty tight squeeze.. and is the skid plate u have a 2 piece plate? thanks a lot awesome vid man! can u put a link to the skid plate please?
it's definitely worth it man, waaay more protection than the factory skid!...and looks good too (not that many people will be under my truck, but I know it's there...lol)
@@NitroZ18Fishing for sure for sure. Did a spray in bed liner, got bull bar with light, added hood bulge light, tires on the way. Dont let my ol lady find out lol
So far so good, but unfortunately I won’t be able to give a long-term review… Just traded her in for the 2022 Tundra TRD Pro… Lots of videos coming up on the new truck, thanks for watching!
Thank you!!...the grille is from Royalty Core, and the bumper is the Nfab MRDS, I have videos on the channel on both of them if it would help!...they’re under the playlist “Tundra Installs”...thanks for watching!
Appreciate the video, I will be installing mine in a few days, you did a great job explaining. How does the small removeable door work out for you when changing the oil filter? The removeable door looks to be around 4" wide by maybe 6" long. Thanks
No prob, thanks for checking it out!…the trap door works awesome, I do wish it was slightly bigger but I have no issues changing the filter at all…absolutely worth it, not having to take skid off is a big help!
Hey Kirk!… I honestly can’t remember but I want to say it was somewhere in the $400 range give or take… I could be wrong, that was a while ago but I think it was in that general area!
Another excellent video. The list of mods I need to do to my truck just keep growing! Damn you 😂! Just out of curiosity, why did you opt for the RCI skid over the TRD one?
lol...thank you sir, much appreciated!!...and it was honestly a toss up, but in the end I just preferred the look of the RCI over the TRD...both great skids though!
Hey Paul!...I have a 4” lift, you could probably still do it, just need a little bit bigger spacers I would imagine...maybe someone can chime in if I’m wrong!
It’s a custom grille from Royalty Core, I actually have a video on the channel showing the install...if you have any interest in it contact them and tell em I sent ya, they’ll take care of ya!
I have a Fumoto oil drain valve installed. Does the cutout on the right side give you room to access the drain plug area? I looked at other skid plates, but they look like they will interfere with getting to the drain plug/valve area.
The spacers are for if you have a lift installed… You’ll be able to tell as soon as you hold it up to the truck… It won’t sit properly if you need to use them, hope that helps!
