You have to know the story. The fight was supposed to be cartoonish, gear five makes luffy's imagine come to life and that fight perfectly depics luffy. Thats why he was so happy that he could do everyting he wanted now. And thats why luffy having the human human model nika fruit so terrifying. His personality and imagination plus the abilities of the fruit are what makes him a huge threat to the world government.

Just to help y’all real quick. Based on what I’ve seen and heard. Gear 5 Luffy is an awakened form of the Gomu Gomu No Mi. It strengthens his rubber body and turns Luffy into a Sun God with god like ability. Basically, this version of Luffy can do ANYTHING he puts his mind too. So, overall the villains can hang with him.

The best thing about Luffy is that he doesn’t follow the same MC tropes as a lot of other anime MCs. Usually when a character transforms or gets a out of nowhere power boost it’s through anger and rage, with gear 5 Luffy transforms out of Joy. He didn’t even get a transformation or power boost from losing his brother Ace which is also another MC trope. He cried and passed out into like a 2 week coma

I wouldn't even say all this when the main problem is that other anime fandoms (majority being One Piece fans) would make the most outrageous comparisons. That Luffy's moves are more "iconic" than the Kamehameha, or like Gear 5 is more "iconic" than Super Saiyan. In reality, all are iconic. They are all recognized globally. Obviously, some more than others, that's where the real argument goes. Which one is more iconic? Which doesn't matter.

To those of you that don’t know I want to clarify why you see Luffy do all of these things Gear 5 Luffy 's form is the peak of his devil fruit powers and gives him god-like abilities by letting him do anything he can imagine. For example, he can affect living beings, inanimate objects, create things from thin air, and defy the laws of physics which is why you see him about to use domain expansion at the end as he is able to do anything within his imagination

People in the comments are out here acting crazy. Tell me you don't watch or read One Piece without telling me. If your devil fruit says wolf, guess what you become? A wolf. If your devil fruit says fire, guess what you become? You become literal fire. If your devil fruit says Nika, the Sun GOD, what do you become? Certainly not Nika, the Sun Regular Guy. So why deny it? It's just a title. "Oh but how can he call himself a god, he's not even a planet buster!". Tell me why anybody in One Piece would be written as powerful enough to wipe out a planet in one attack. It makes sense in Dragon Ball, we go to other planets all the time, a big chunk of the story is always taking place somewhere in space. Not here. You blow up the Earth, the story is over. That's why nobody has that kind of power in One Piece, it's not like Oda couldn't just write some guy that can snap his finger and the universe implodes. But why would he.

I don't really care about power levels, who can't beat who or anything, but man, you can't go around pretending to be open-minded when you spend the entire video shitting on and being skeptical about a character, power and series you've admited you know basically nothing about. It comes off as you simply being pissed and in denial, all because the one kicking everyone's asses is from the one series among these that you chose not to follow. So it looks really petty. And before anyone says anything about whether Gear 5 Luffy could beat these guys or not, again, that's not the point. Its not the point because they admited they don't know anything about OP, yet acted in such a condescending way, as if they had all the facts. That's the issue.

Thought y'all would of stayed outside the box and watched just that episode of one piece for the fans and also for urselves to get a bit more insight on luffys final transformation. What do the fans know tho. U guys already have the big picture I guess but haven't seen the episode. And luffys gear 5 is by far one of the strongest anime transformations ever. He tanks ultra instinct easy. And I love DBS but that's just what it is and I get what jasmine is tryin to say. But the lesson in that series will always outweigh how the transformation looks. Joy is always great to have. And true liberation means having no fear. Luffy is the embodiment of that. And I think it's pretty amazing.

eh i love one piece even more than DBZ but no luffy cannot beat UI goku. goku in SSJB kaioken broke time against hit and SSJ3 can break through dimensions high end DBZ characters can beat luffy but anyone who is not on SSJ3 level is getting folded by luffy easy. he is the only one who comes close though except maybe ichigo.
