About the Bullgator heart attack, that happens when the Legendary animal leave his area or is no longer available, that happened to me while hunting a white Bison and it suddenly died when Bounty hunters spawned in.
During the Rhodes bank heist, you can shoot the dynamite Charles has just set up. This will kill Charles, but strangely enough it won't cause a mission fail or give you a wanted level. After this you will be prompted to use the detonator and the mission will continue as usual. However, once you've cleared out all the safes, the game will softlock and you'll be unable to progress. You'll be unable to access the weapon wheel so the only way to escape is to manually reload the last checkpoint!

If you go off script, you fail the mission, it’s that simple. Rockstar hates it when you walk 2 feet away from the mission area or do anything against the objective because they love not having creative missions
Nah there allot missions that actually reward for going off script i only found out about them on my 5th playthrough. The ones that do not allow are setting up a story or setpiece.
@@John-996plenty of secondary missions in which you are required to follow the script. Last time i played a week ago i was doing the forst mission of the foreman who asks you to find who is stealing money. I find him, he runs away, i hogtie him in order to give him to the foreman. But apparently that foreman knows what i have done from a hundred yards away, and starts shooting at me for trying to deliver the guy who was robbing him. Or that mission in which you are forced to give the fugitive with a family to the police even if there is dialogue about letting him go away. Game is great but has a huge problem in that the script is tyrannical, you move too far from where you are supposed to be or try to play differently and you pay for it.
@@Moonlightking3 the reason for that is the amount of actions R* allows you to do does not correlate with an equivalent amount of options in missions. GTA suffers less from this simply because the actions you can take are very limited. If they ask you to "take care" of someone your only option is to kill them, if the story requires you to kidnap them then it'll be a cutscene because there is no way to kidnap people in GTA.
That’s because there are only a limited number of cutscenes that they filmed. It’s really not that hard to figure out. You need the cutscenes to progress the story. This is some extremely petty bitching you are doing here.
I love this game but damn, rockstar had a script for you and didn't like it when you deveated, there were so many missions, like your example with the train, where I thought I could do something clever to make the mission more exciting or easier and rockstar just straight up NOPED me every single time, was really depressing, it gives the illusion of a large game with free choice but was incredibly linear when it came to story based missions.
didnt even know that you didn't have to shoot the rope Sean was hanging from. in both playthroughs i instinctively shot it thinking it was the only way to get him down
I'm going through this shit in the epilogue, basically I did a lot of shit in Blackwater, so when John has a mission to take Abigail to take photos, the game crashes because the city is in Lockdown because of me, The guy taking the photos isn't there, and if I purposely fail to skip the checkpoint, it just keeps loading infinitely
can confirm this still works 11/29/2023 (on xbox latest version).. Took me many attempts but it finally worked. I did it in chapter 2, used a springfield rifle with a long scope, even after helping the lady in valentine. patience is entirely necessary for this to work, i almost gave up because of how long it took .. Overall, was it worth it? Probably not.. but I already completed the game once so decided why not just do it on the new playthrough. Below, are some helpful tips that I think worked for me -when i saw someone else riding up as im about to shoot, i killed him, BUT as the guys horse was riding up to the lady, JUST as i killed it the glitch ended up working after 3 hours of trying .. i guess it triggered the running animation at the perfect time or something, not sure but thats what worked for me -making a new save when it wouldnt work -consistently reloading game -staying scoped in with the rifle
Is there special dialogue if you rob her with the horse on top of her still? Surely there is, right? I really need to do a “low/no honor” play through, just to experience all the unique dialogue undoubtedly placed throughout the game. It’s been over two years straight of playing only this game, and I’ve yet to do it. It’s just so hard for me to make Arthur a bad boah. 🤷🏻♂️
recently when I was just free roaming and doing my usual mayhem I ended up by Fort Wallace (on the right hand side) and there was a soldier out side and there was a GATE OPEN, he was just about to go in and I rushed in through the open gate! It was great, I had a good old time massacreeing all the soldiers, then I went into a storage place and unfortunately in my haste I shot some ammo and that was the end of me! I was having such a good time aswell. The epilogue is great aswell. Just got to where John has built a new house.
@@brotherfoller yes, when I played the first game as Arthur, Im putting game back on, for some reason my progress was never saved and I also mistakenly deleted epilogue ( Id not completed epilogue) anyway Im reinstalling game and playing again.
I got RDR1 for christmas and im grateful but im still looking forward to getting a new TV so i can play RDR II again Im glad i can see the events of what happend after RDR2 but still RDR2 is basicly the real RDR1 but you know how rockstar games is, W video. edit: idea what if you make swanson invincible when the train comes?
i accidently triggered the woman at 8:15 by standing there and thinking "is this a trap or should i really help her" and i decided i should help and in that second she started to be pised off i felt so bad
Thank you for more evidence that RDR2 is not Rockstars golden child. The game had a lot of flaws compared to previous titles, mostly surrounding missions and how linear you were forced to play.
There actually alot mossions with loads of Freedom but RDR2 is still the best open world work to date. The Warriers is the best hand to hamd combat game, Maxpayne 3 their best shooter and Manhunt is their best stealth game. RDR2 takes elments from all their games and which why i think its their best overall work nothing is flawless but the few flaws RDR2 has are minor and could easily be fixed in most cases.
I hate how this game makes you use a controller, and if you dont do the exact right thing at the exact right time, it fails you. Just make a movie cow pokes 😂
No, but it is possible to shoot a horse in the leg and there is a chance that a person will get stuck under it, I did not come up with it, it is really possible
@@Creeker. No Mary Linton. They have a history. Quite frankly after all Arthur did when he saw the truth of Dutch, he deserves something. It's Micah and Dutch that needs to die, Arthur did a lot of bad things but he made up for some of that maybe I just want him to live maybe I'm thinking it's that simple and being naive. Someone deserves redemption in this world maybe in a story we could make that happen
@@seauryakumar nah Mary is a b. Mary Beth or Sadie would be way better for a man like Arthur although with Sadie he probably would never be able to escape the violent life.
All this does is show how restrictive RDR2's core gameplay is, like the game just straight up failing you for going off script, or imposing another limiting factor to stop you. but good video none the less.
Depends on the missions some allow you to go of script and reward you for others fo not. Hell many story games like Witcher 3 just have you follow red foot prints giving the player loads of freedom does not always work for good story telling.
@@John-996 I wouldn't necessarily disagree with you. However RDR2 has one foot on the freeroam/player choice boat and the other on the rigid don't go off-script storytelling boat and sometimes those boats are not going in the same direction. Bank Heist in Valentine is a prime example, player gets a choice, but it makes no different to the outcome either way. And the game does this a LOT. Its not that not having a choice is always a bad thing, but presenting the player with the illusion of choice when there isn't one, is.
Just had another thought. I wonder if there is unique dialogue from storekeepers if you inspect items with no money. It would be cool if it didn’t happen immediately; it would only happen if you kept loitering in the store without paying. Also, I wonder what the dying mauled stranger would say if you aimed a bow with small arrows at him, if he’d say “that won’t kill me!” or something similar. These boahs done thought of damn near everything!
She survived, and moreover, I met her again after the reboot and helped, but it doesn't matter, it's important for us not to confuse reality with the game
I don't hate the game, but there's a lot of little issues I had with it. The main things I can remember are that: mission replay was jank at launch, the lawmen and invisible sniper of New Austin are bullshit, and the 3-star system made hunting more tedious than it needed to be.
@@lewisjohnston7077 The outcome to me is that they made a mechanic from the previous game more of a bother, but I have issues with completionism, so I'm sure there's a lot of people didn't' overdo it with hunting and had a better time than I did.
