@@DarkShadow775 It was Micah, micah actually told them about the ferry. I'm pretty sure Arthur and Hosea had a different plan, but micah manipulated dutch.
D.C.DAREALEST no not really. After the black water job it was a whole mess, but they still stocked together and were making the best outta things. They still cared for each other, fought for each other, robbed together, some missions were successful, some went wrong. After Hosea died though, everything went to shit. Dutch completely changed, they didn’t put much effort into saving one another, there were rats, kept making mistakes that got them into worse trouble until later the end they broke off. Hosea was the one that held the gang together.
@@chasevids14 it was a big event, however, the gang eventually got back on their feet. The bank robbery in Saint Denis is what started the fall of the gang
Honestly I can't express how happy it makes me that now people are posting red dead again, like on the subreddit so many people are posting beautiful pieces from the photomode
Have you seen Guarma? Looks amazing. Too bad they wasted the potential for the Island they should have made it more free roam with mystery and easter egg stuff to find just like in the main map. Instead they gave us this beautiful and unique jungle that you aren't even allowed to explore. Plus the whole sequence of being on the island felt super random. Like I was watching an episode of Lost.
@@McNeill2425I noticed Arthur coughing or atleast trying not to by clearing his throat during the Strauss loansharking cutscene in chapter 4 telling you who needs to pay off their debt
He would have needed to smash that window first. And even if you do kill milton instantly, Hosea would be caught in the crossfire of the battle between the pinkertons and the 'failed plans gang'
The best way is to throw dynamite before climbing over the short wall. The dynamite will blow the 2 feds up and then Lenny will get whacked by the West Elizabeth sniper
The only thing I don’t like about RDR2 is the lack of decisions, like it was in GTA V (silent or loud attempt) and depending on which way you choose you save or lose one of your gang member AND in the end in Beaver Hollow there could be John, Lenny, Sean, Hosea and Kieran along with Arthur just before the Pinkertons arrival..
But in GTA V, any lost heist members were just "generic goons", as Trevor would call them, so if they died, it only cost you a small fraction of the takings. Here in RDR2, these are established characters who all have a significant role in the story. When they die, that effects where the story goes. If Lenny, Sean, Hosea, and Kieran had been at Beaver Hollow, things would have been very different.
The perfection of this mission as they describe it as a massacre like black water. The music and the gunshots and even when they get onto the roof there are still gun shots all over the place there was nothing they could do
Rockstar absolutely nailed the intensity and chaos of this mission. As bullets wizz through the windows and both sides are yelling commands to their men. Small lore rich comments like "this is worse than blackwater" by Bill and Dutch asking if Arthur is still alive make this mission so impactful
3:45 john says “shit, Abigail…” First time I played the game I was thinking it’s like “shit they catch her…” but playing the game a few times it’s sounds more like “shit, she snitch on us…” I think Abigail really talked too Milton so she could have a way out for a new life with jack…
Balkancuga Not the at all, sure there are expensive gaming PCs out their but you can build a Gaming PC that has better specs than a xbox one x and PS4 Pro.
many dont know this but two missions before this when they robbed the trolley and after that the train crashed futch hurted his head witch lead to all this so this is probably crazy to say but it's Arthur's fault
You can use controllers on PC, you know. Most steam games have it as an option. It's typically better for a more comfortable experience. The game is only capable of running at 60fps on PC anyway. So even if this was a console recording, he'd have to have doubled the framerate in post.
5:48 John: WHAT IF THEY GOT ABIGAIL!!!!!? Lenny: He would of shown her if he did! John: I hope you're right. (2 seconds later) John: Where's Abigail?! Am I the only one who gets annoyed how Rockstar just puts all the lines in random order and everybody just asks the same questions a few seconds later only with different dialogue or when the dialogue jumps out at an unfitting time like the very beginning of the shootout?
Most stupid bank robbery ever. Why try and pull it off when you killed Bronte and had only recently pulled off a trolley robbery in the major city of the map especially was the man who had ties to the law? John was the only one with brains in this occasion. He knew it was an awful mistake. Bill Williamsons robbery in Valentine makes me think that he was better at planning than Dutch was. The gang overall was awful at lying low and keeping itself out of unnecessary trouble.
Hyperion Arthur had sense too but he was just holding out because he still had some type of faith in Dutch Arthur’s journal explains a lot tbh and back in chapter 2 Arthur was already beginning to lose faith in Dutch
At the beginning of the mission, you can see that Micah was stressed, he actually wanted the heist to be a success because he was still confident in Dutch. After Guarma, he just tried to save his own skin by selling the rest of the gang.
@Slickbait isn't it obvious? The Gang killed Bronte (aka the most powerful man in lemonyne) so the Pinkertons linked his death to Dutch's gang because every time something big like a shootout happend Dutch's gang was responsible for it so when they killed bronte they assumed it was the van der linde gang who did it
Considering we know Molly lied about snitching, and that it wasn't Micah because this was pre-Guarma? It's implied that the Pinkertons just got lucky because the gang was sloppy. The more I watch this scene the more I believe that. I think it was actually Bill's fault that the gang was found out. He has arguably the most recognizable mug out of the entire gang. He's a heavy set guy, tall, receding hairline, full beard and to top it off he's just standing around in Saint Denis (sticking near the bank) with a rifle in hand and heavy bags over his shoulder while wearing a suit. I think he was recognized because as usual, he did something stupid without considering the consequences.
That’s exactly what happened. Dutch deciding to get in with Bronte and then opting to kill him was simply a high profile move that drew way too much attention. Course the Pinkertons were on their trail the minute they robbed Cornwallis train.
They fucked up by killing Bronte. During that mission, when you're leaving the mansion, the cops immediately recognize you as Arthur Morgan, so it wouldn't be far fetched for them to have recognized everyone else, including Dutch (Another thing worth noting is Dutch, being the gullible narcissist he is, gave Bronte his, Arthur's and John's REAL NAMES upon meeting him). The Pinkertons caught wind of the crime, and, upon questioning the local law, they found out Dutch was the one to do it. Afterwards, they began patrolling the perimeter with Milton, who knew that Bronte was either kidnapped for ransom or killed for a future robbery due to his influence on the law in the city, which the Pinkertons knew the gang was aware of due to their raid on the trolley station and the subsequent massacre. I'll give some credit to your theory, Williamson WAS in the Mayor's party and could have potentially slipped up and said something he shouldn't have. However, I think the Pinkertons simply waited for something suspicious to occur after Bronte was kidnapped and then, after Hosea and Abigail caused a literal explosion, they rushed the wagon and caught Hosea, who didn't run, either thinking he'd Hosea himself out of it (mistaking them for regular law to then realize it was Milton and his men) or intentionally sacrificing himself to save Abigail, just to then be interrogated at gunpoint about what the rest of the gang were doing. It'd explain why Abigail's nowhere to be seen, why the Pinkertons were there in the first place and how they knew exactly where Van der Linde was.
I always believed Bill was responsible for Sean’s death. I know Arthur and burnt down the Grays tobacco fields. But Bill kept saying how he was drinking with the grays and getting information out of them. I can’t help but think he might’ve gotten so drunk he let it slip out about the gang plans on manipulating the two families.
Why couldn't rockstar make Read Dead Redemption 2 the first game? Back in 2010, I am now 10 years later playing RD1. Which makes more sense of the story.
