This line is better than the original. It shows that Tetsuo is DONE tolerating Kaneda's taunts and snark. It's the line that says that he is done pretending to be Kaneda's friend. It's the line that says he's more than willing to kill Kaneda, all without saying that he'll kill him. It's a better threat than the original, and draws the line in the sand where Kaneda and Tetsuo stand, and declares that the fate of the world is about to be decided by these two friends turned mortal enemies.
I do love the "Kaneda... I wouldn't talk down to me if I were you" line. It sounds surprisingly more sudden and threatening than the original dub, "Kaneda... you've always been a pain in the ass, you know."
It fits his facial expression better too. and... feels a bit more realistic? Maybe? IDK, "You've always been a pain in the ass" DOES sound like the type of corny thing a bullied teen on a power trip would say to sound hard. But "Don't talk down to me." definitely feels more intimidating.
Kaneda its just one of the best anime heroes ever, even thought Tetsuo has the upper hand Kaneda shows bravery and strength to fight him back and at list try with all his hearth and power to protect Kait
Preston Pham In the manga he is a bigger asshole than in the movie And also has more badass scenes than in the movie I suggest you to read the manga if you liked the movie, its really awesome 😄👌
Honestly, he's a stupid dumbass anime punk who's got so much gumption you can't help but adore him. Kaneda rocks. Coolest Bonzai Boy in film with the SWEETEST fictional motorcycle in history. To be fair though, I think Tetsueo was a more interesting character, at least untill the whole "Runt turned god, gone evil" thing was over done in other works. In the Manga it is really neat seeing him and Akira lord over post apocolyptic Neo Tokoyo.
I was expecting cringe, but this was actually really well done. I don't even think the Streamline dub is thaaaat bad as far as dubs go, but this is definitely better.
This has more emotion and a good explanation of the reflex reaction between the two characters. They feed off each other's emotions much better in this dub.
I like how -Tetsuo’s theme- is three dudes having an asthma attack. OKAY nevermind, that's actually the Clowns' theme, I've seen the movie now, it's.... WAY more than just this scene, and on top of that, this scene was PERFECTLY placed, cuz when Kaneda comes back after Tetsuo and stuff, it's so awesome to see the three sides, Army, Kaneda, and Tetsuo, preparing for the FINAL showdown. goodass movie, I painted the capsule on the back of my Outrider sergeant in Kaneda's honor.
This is a FANTASTIC fandub. I'm not gonna lie. I've never listened to the Pioneer dub, so I just assumed that's what this, and was pleasantly surprised. But, now I'm just impressed. Good show!
This, by far, is one of the best fandubs I’ve seen. The sound mixing is very well put together and the acting is VERY tight, especially with matching to the mouth movement. Cudos to ya!

Holy shit dude, amazing job! I was literally on the edge of my seat waiting for more when that fade out slapped me back to reality. Would LOVE to see more! The only criticism I'd give is pretty well in line with the dubs we're all familiar with, and that's in the screams. I'd have loved to really feel that terror during and after Tetsuo's arm is severed by SOL. But relaxing the "adult" language restraints was a perfect touch. Man, too bad it was so long ago... If either of you guys were interested in getting back together and compiling a team to give the rest of the film a go, I'm sure some people would pay pretty decently for it. I know I would, if my net worth was anywhere close to the black (positive) lol
Besides the voices being great, the writing was really well done! As much as I loved the pioneer dub, my friends and I can't take it seriously due to how hilariously they re-scripted for the English translation

Sorry to comment on such a old video but I came back after listening to the film's two official english dubs and can I say I really love this and appreciate how you guys changed up the dialogue! Like changing up the banter and Tetsuo calling Kaneda a worm really made the scene more impactful! I'm looking forward to your new voice acting and non-voice acting stuff!
Out of all the dubs of this fight that I've seen, this one tops them all. The acting is just incredible and the lines are perfect and better than any of the other 2 films. U should do more of these..
I like how in the og its one of the few times Tetsuo cusses after he falls over and is crawling up. Shows he's under stress and thinking he may have fucked up.
...as well as attempting to challenge said demigod to a good old-fashioned fistfight, mano e mano. Whether the obvious results entail trying to punch out said demigod is anyone's guess.
I really really like the script you did for this, but I feel like the delivery on a few lines were a little half hearted. With some more direction, this would be fucking perfect.
this is better than both official english dubs if you wrote the script for another english dub and then got like real legitimate voice actors to do it, that would be the greatest thing ever
Why is this better than every other english dubbed anime I've heard so far (and one billion times better than french dub)? Does it mean that everything is dubbed by compete beginners in the world of acting?
This was a very good dub! My comment I posed when I was ten is still here though... Let me explain it, what I ment was the spirted away dub was better, but you did a great job with this dub goat jesus!
I admit, I'm not too big a fan of your Fate/Stay Night dub compared to the original... but I have to say, your Akira dub is spot-on better then either of the official dubs :)
This was actually really good. It didn't have any trademark fake yelling into the mic I was expecting. Was so lost in the scene, I forgot it was a clip.
