Absolutely thrilled to see you using APOC 241. I used APOC 252 on my Shantyboat roof. Coated in strips of 20” so to could lay polyester fabric in the wet n recoat and move to next. 3 total coats. That is used here in Tucson, Arizona Holds up for years in our hot summers. Well done.
Just let me say this, enjoying all your video's. Everything you show is entertaining and I'm learning all about living on water. Mr Brandon knows he is one BLESSED MAN, you Dear are sooo naturally Adorable. Both of you seem to fit together so well. Now let me say this that I'm not to much afraid of high up places, but not on a slanted roof, ya'll did extry good on that roof. Also those new floats really made a difference, that is just Wild how that works!! I do wonder how that fire got started if nobody was on that island?
You are too sweet!! Thank you 🙏☺️ yes we were so pleased with the roof & new floats! 🙌 as for the fire, somebody was definitely there the previous night illegally camping, they started an fire outside of a designated site, probably way too close to other vegetation, etc. they had caused problems the previous night too & the rangers were called, so that’s how we knew they were there. guess they didn’t even bother to put out their illegal fire when they left 🤦🏼♀️
Appreciate your support so much!! Thank you! 🙏🤝 can’t lie… it’s the best 😎 we feel crazy fortunate, I don’t think we would ever want to move off the water!
When I realized it was friday I came straight to youtube to see if you posted and was so happy to see you did!✨I only found your channel recently and have been obsessed with your lifestyle plus 2 two as a couple😋You guys are such a cute couple and so wholesome, the little comments Brandon says to you are too cute😭y'all have a real love and it's so refreshing to see!! I wish you guys all the best in your adventures and renovations! I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for you!! ✨
I mean you sure are thinking waiting for the cleanup to ensure that them foam blocks can be recycled materials versus landfill.....ya y'all deserve the award for best supporting property management and cleanups for this beautiful land!!!!!!!! Let's HEAR IT FOR THE JONESES TEAMMATES!!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO GETRDONE!!!!! ❤🎉😊
It looks incredible!! I love seeing the two of you work together and how sweet you are with one another! ❤ Have a other great week and I will be looking forward to your next adventure! 😊
After a long week I love seeing your vlog pop up, it brings back a lot of memories. We're on the gulf now but grew up on lake, well on the weekends anyway. Thanks for your videos.
Y’all are an awesome team! Glad the fire didn’t get out of control. Hope the rest of the renovations go smoothly for you. So interesting to see it all take place. Hope y’all have a fantastic weekend!
You guys are part of my Sunday morning ritual! Me and my 3 Goldens sit in the garage watching your weekly broadcasts as part of my YouTubing! :). Have a great day guys! 🐾🐾🐾
Thanks for sharing and letting me watch paint dry. Didn't know that you would find it as funny as I thought it might be. Thanks again. Your life looks perfect, for a few weeks. Don't think that I could do it full time.
Hahaha I thought about that all week. I tried to get as many different angles and perspectives as we could up there so it didn’t seem so much like…. watching paint dry 😂 Thanks! Oh yea I mean it’s definitely not everyone’s full time cup of tea haha. We sure love it, but then again, we’re a little out there! 🤪
@@KeepingAfloatWiththeJoneses I would love to try it if I were closer to your age and not the age of your grandparents. Cabin deep in the woods or floating home have always been a dream/fantasy. It will just have to stay that way too.
Hello! My husband and I found your WONDERFUL Channel. I'll tell you it is such a joy and relief to watch a "Clean", highly entertaining and informative channel! Thank you so much. Ok we have a question about the floats you all use. Once you cut a piece off of the float to allow room for your makeshift air hose, How do you re seal that hole or do you? We watched the same video a few times to see if we missed a step but haven't found one. PS: We wish you both the BEST! GOD Bless you both.
Thank you for the sweet comment! ☺️ There is no need to re-seal that hole. The entire bottom could be cut out & it would work just as well - think about pushing a cup (rim-down) into water. Air is more dense than water so it can’t & won’t loose air out of the open bottom. It can only lose the air if there’s a hole on the top, above the water, for it to escape (which, in the case of the lift floats, is that small hole we screw the white cap back into). Hope that helps! Thanks again 😊
Great job on the roof! What a difference doing that made! So clean and fresh! I’ve got to admit, it’s very weird watching you too let somebody else do the work( except for the new build of course). But we’re glad they did a good job for you and that the house is sitting pretty! Take care! T&C!
Well done on the roof. I need to do that to the little house I’m restoring in Beaufort. You’ve inspired me to do it myself!! Do y’all already have a buyer for the house?
Well at least the new folk can watch all your old episodes and see exactly what you went through from start to finish! You guys are a wonderful couple and have such a great outlook on the good, the bad and the ugly. Thanks for letting us come along.
Just curious why you contracted out the float replacement when just a couple weeks ago you were using the lift float on your neighbours so you obviously know how to do it.
Good question! At our neighbors we were just adding a lift float, but not switching any core floats out. You really need at least 4 people to fill the roles necessary to swap floats out, so we would have had to hire help even if we partially did it ourselves. We figured we could pay a couple friends & get it done in a week, or we could hire it out to folks that do it for a living and they’d have it done in a day. Wound up just being cheaper to get it done quicker
Thank you for these videos of yalls life. My wife isnt keen on tiny float living so your videos give me a glimps into the serene lifestyle. I feel like the Joneses are going to own the whole lake soon lol.
Everything is looking great! It is amazing what a little paint and new floats will do for your cabin/home! Question, is there a rain water catch on your new cabin? Why gutters? I ask out of curiosity, because after watching and subscribing to your guys channel the wife and I are thinking about exploring the floating home idea and you guys are doing a great job on the positives and negatives on what to look for!
Thanks so much!! Lol I have the same question about the gutters. There’s no rain catchment system, I have no clue why they put gutters there. You might find gutters on these sometimes if the dock extends out past the roof line.. but in this case, it doesn’t. So i’m not sure what the thought behind those was! 😅
cool! Brandon said someone told him at least some of it in this particular facility gets turned into like that squishy ground material in playgrounds these days. Kind of fun to think about haha
@@KeepingAfloatWiththeJoneses that stuff also uses recycled foam. I believe some of the premade k material also contains recycled foam. The thing is that foam does recycle and in the landfill it takes a LOT of space.
A friend who is a commercial dock builder had his guys do ours but they don’t generally do people’s houses. Which harbor are you in? I know prince and alarka have guys that do refloats in the wintertime when the water is down
Yaaay, I was really looking forward to this episode to see how the house looks with the new floats. It turned out beautiful, and even more so with all the paint you guys did on the roof. She sparkles!!!
You both are so lucky to have the life you live i take back what i said about divorce i wish you both a wonderful life together and i always look forward to another video you are one lucky guy Bradon alway treat her like gold
