In this video, I'm trying out the StewMac No.10 Thin Wicking Superglue for the very first time. As an amateur guitar-mod enthusiast, I realize that everyone has to start somewhere when it comes to learning all this stuff... I've made some mistakes along the way, but every one of them has helped me learn something new. This time, I'm using the StewMac Wicking Superglue to anchor a fret into a neck (It's my first-ever re-fret job). I'm still working on this one and will try to share more of this process as it unfolds. I hope you like what I share here... I refretted my red Telecaster (first time trying this job) with pre-bent Fender medium jumbo fretwire, replacing the worn out narrow frets, as well as fitting a new nut. Fitting the new frets, I thought tapping them into the slots would be enough, but one popped loose just as I started levelling them. I should have pressed them in using a clamp, as well as superglueing them from the start. In the event, I wicked quite a lot of thin superglue in, praying that this would help. Amazingly, it worked and every fret is solid, so I was able to level and crown them. The guitar plays much better than before, and I saved over £200 by doing the job myself.
