I grew up with that mountain on the horizon, and dearly miss it. I should hike the Timberline trail one of these days.

Buffet sadness. Still, love seeing you guys on trail. I wish my legs were long and doing that many miles. I just got back from doing about 30 miles in the Winds. For the first time ever, I just said, eff it and made coffee in my vestibule and drank it while looking out of my tent in the morning. Why didn't I begin doing this sooner?! Thanks for taking us along and making it mellow.

The Timberline is an hour from my house so I do at least part if not all of it every year. It was nice to see it through someone else’s eyes!

Just a thanks for some great scenery and snow. It’s still in the 90’s here in Texas and i needed something to remind me cooler weather is headed my way. Cant wait to get out on the trail and have that morning cup of coffee.

I hiked the Timberline Trail in 2022 (inspired by your 2019 video!). Still one of my favorite hikes. Definitely on the "hike again" list. That rope is new haha.

I'm sorry. Getting there to find it closed made me laugh. I told my wife, she knows, us hikers hike for food. Especially, A great buffet. I always looked for diet A&W or Hires Root Beer. Only not to find any. Thanks for taking us out on your journey. May God continue to bless you.

Awesome you got to do it again, love seeing the footage! Did the Timberline as my first long-distance hike a month or so ago now and had an absolute blast, it was mostly clear so the views were spectacular, albeit a bit hot. I can't wait to get back out to do it CCW! Looks like there are still going to be good days this year, so hopefully I can before the weather turns. I brought everything to camp, but really wanted to make it in one day was to get back home to my cat. Wanted to go from Top Spur to Top Spur CW, but started a bit late (7:30 am) and only made it to the Sandy River by 8:30 pm, so I didn't want to risk crossing it that late in the dark + it was a 37 mile day. I decided to just cowboy camp on the banks of the Sandy. Saw the stars and the sunrise on Mt. Hood, so it was well worth it. I only got pizza from the Blue Ox Bar, which was awesome and huge, but I'd love to hit the buffet now next time.

Thanks for sharing the trip! I met you at PCT Days 2019 after your first hike, and you asked me if I had done the trail. My answer, No. But 5 days later I fixed that problem and finished the trail in two and a half days. Luckily I made the Timberline buffet and shared lunch with a few PCT Sobo's! For what it's worth, I think CCW around the mountain sets up a little better for the 2.5 day hike. Last summer we did clockwise in three nights and made the breakfast buffet with no issue. Cheers!

It would be interesting to hear whether you have trail and section favourites broken down by length of trail or section, for example your favourite 1 mile, 10 mile, 100 mile, 1000 mile sections or trails in terms of if you could only do one 1000 mile section again which would you choose or in terms of whether there is one particular 100 mile section with which you find yourself regularly comparing all other 100 mile sections or simply in terms of a small bucket list of trails or sections to hike again. I'd like to do the Tongariro crossing NZ again.

What made you guys choose clockwise route? I wanted to go back this year so bad and conditions looked perfect but didn’t make it, I actually did in July but pussed out cuz I didn’t pack a jacket and it was brutal in the parking lot! Ended up doing a long coast trip insteae
