Love this video, I've been saying this for many years. It's extremely clear when the refs are dictating games. Yeah the players are playing their hearts out but with refs making it easier for some and like putting the cuffs on others. LeBron, Kobe, and a few others were not touchable or you couldn't be within 2ft of them without getting a foul called in their favor. I will get a lot of crap for this one but fuck you in advance, if you grew up in the 90's you saw these games and know what I'm talking about but yes Michael Jordan got call after call constantly forcing the defenders to give him room to do his AIR thing or get called for a foul for looking at him even though he's like top 3 shooting guard defenders because he got away with raping people. So yeah I said it, I'm no sheep. MJ was awesome and amazing but had all the refs at his side making sure he'd win championships. *I can not stand flopping even when my team does it too, it's embarrassing to me as a huge fan of the game and growing up playing basketball like everyday. I've always believed this series was rigged from the start, but due to economic implications were the Heat to lose another finals. Miami spent Big $$$ to put together a super team in order to win it all. The team was under a microscope and was the biggest draw in the NBA. Rarely if ever do you get 3 first team all-pro potential players to put aside their ego and bank accounts in order to win a title. Then here comes OKC/NO obliterating the tougher western conference and dominating game 1 in a way that seemed like the Heat had no chance of winning more than 1 game. The NBA decided that should the heat lose the series owners don't pay for star players driving down salaries, and fans don't call for or care about super teams that don't lead to titles, driving down revenue across the board.

Now I know why. That 2010 Thunder team may have been one of the best of all time. I know this video is old, but this has to be one of the best videos I've ever seen in making the case for how championships are handed to teams not deserving of them. I was extremely frustrated watching this series and could not believe the calls Miami got throughout. You can see why KD cried after they lost. He saw firsthand how the league took an opportunity away from his team through bad calls. They never let Durant have an effect on this series. Lebron KNEW KD was going to be trouble for his squad...so he pulled a Lakers/Dick Bavetta and got the refs in his pocket as the footage reflects. I've been sour on the league ever since Sacramento had their series snatched from them and handed to the Lakers. They would have won it all that year...clearly the better team. The league killed their chances the same way they killed OKC. The way I see it, it's not necessarily "rigged", aka, the refs wanted Miami to win the series. I see it as, the refs just missed some calls, made bad calls, and gave some star treatment to the big stars. Refs do that. It doesn't mean it's rigged, it just means the refs are basically being refs. For example, the off the backboard no call. Now, obviously when you slow it down, play it back over and over, it's easy to see how the refs missed the call. But, it's different in real time, it's different live when you're there playing, and it happens in a split second, and it's pretty close. It's easy to see how the refs could've missed that call. It was close, it did look like it bounced off the back, it was close. In real time, in split seconds, it's hard to make that call. So they didn't make the call. Nothing there that makes me think, "oh they're rigging it for the Heat." It's just the nature of the game. Again, in real time, it's hard to see exactly what is happening. It goes fast, they don't have the benefit of replay, they have to watch not just the play, but everything else, all the other players, they have to keep an eye on everything happening on the court. So for them to miss some calls, or make a few bad calls, it's to be expected, it's normal, it's not something out of the ordinary. It's a huge stretch, to go out on a limb, and say "NBA games are rigged." It's not something you just throw around. Saying the NBA wants to rig games, so that certain teams win, you'll need alot more proof than simply some footage of refs making some bad calls. Sorry but I'm not buying it, bad calls happen sometimes, that's life. To try and make some kind of conclusion, that NBA games are rigged...which is exactly what you're doing, don't kid yourself. Don't play the "I'm just questioning" card, because you know deep down you truly believe they are rigged, and you want to post videos like this to try and make a case for that. But it's not enough. Showing refs mess up a call, or give some treatment to the star players, is not enough to say it's rigged. Sorry.

And may of the clips shown in this video, which somehow prove that the refs are rigging the games, to me, is not proof at all, it just shows the refs missing some calls that are pretty easy to miss. For example, the off the back of the backboard call, it's easy to see how the refs might get that call wrong. That is far from definitive proof of anything, and it was a unwise decision to use that clip, and other clips like that, to try and make a case to people like me, that the refs are rigging the games. Or the star treatment for players who are stars, that's not proof of rigging. That's just being lenient on the star players. Only you, and people like you, see that, and glean some type of conspiracy of rigging out of it. And I believe in many conspiracies, but there is substantial proof to back many of them. I see no proof at all of a conspiracy between the NBA officials and the referees, to rig NBA games. These clips are not proof. The fact that refs sometimes miss calls, or are lenient on star players, is not proof. I'm sorry. You need to do better than that. You need to approach these subjects, in almost a scientific way, where you only make a firm decision, based on evidence that leaves little room for doubt. This in many ways, is like a court case. And based on the evidence we see here, no court in the world would convict the NBA of game rigging. You need to do better than that, to convince more fair minded people of game rigging. I refuse to go based on ideology, or beliefs, like many people do. I want to see a piece of paper, I want to hear an audio recording, I want to see actual testimony from NBA refs, that they are ordered to call games certain ways in favor of this or that team. I want something real concrete. Not just some edited clips, that don't prove anything except the refs miss some calls sometimes. Unless you can do that, then you need to not say that NBA games are rigged, because quite frankly, the proof if it is borderline ridiculous. It's important to lead your life, and walk through life, with almost a scientific mindset, where you base your knowledge and world view, on facts and what is demonstrable. Honestly. Bad Calls happen in basketball. Watching replays, its easy to pick out questionable fouls etc. But its extremely hard to notice these things in real time, especially when a player drives to the lane. In a sport like basketball, where theres alot of small things that you have to really pay attention too in extremely high speeds. Bad calls will happen. its a part of the game Yes they have their won instant replay, but do you really think their going to stop during every second foul in the game & review it? Usually they only review in clutch intense moments.
I started thinking that after the Sacramento lakers playoff series. What made it worst for me, 3 of my friends bet on this years playoffs. They read and heard somewhere when the playoff started this year that the finals was going to be Cavs win in game 7 against the Warriors being the first team to overcome a 3-1 deficit. And i was like "No way"... It happened and they each made $500. I really don't want it to be true. I hope it isn't.
