When life knocks you down, you get back up again. In today's video I share my official bounce back journey from when I failed my skills portion of my CNA exam by making an error in my fluid intake calculation to my re-testing day in the good old city of Eugene (missed ya). This video is a wild roller coaster of emotions, so thanks for bearing with me. Something about this video tells me I'll look back on this again and listen to my mom's wise pep talk and pick myself up after another future "failure". I can say now looking back that going through the ups and downs of this journey has made me even more grateful to be where I am now. Thanks for coming along for the ride and sharing your bounce back stories too...I read them all and they never fail to make me smile. I forgot to ask a question of the day in this video, so if you're reading this comment what's been on your mind lately or maybe one of your 2021 goals.

And on another point, just like Katie said, thank you for sharing this whole journey, and not just posting a 4 second clip saying “hey took the test and passed” .. bc the reality is for soo many of us, that it takes time, it takes failing once or twice, it takes breakdowns and cries in the car, to get to your goal! Katie is so right, sharing this is so important! These things happen to people every single day, in the grand scheme of things they’re so insignificant. But in the moment it’s so hard to see the light at the end of the unknown! My roommate is currently trying to pass her CPA exam, and I’m sure i know I have failures every day in my life. Kiara, this was so humbling yet encouraging for me. I’m actually re-taking a chem class, and with being a perfectionist, I felt dead inside, lol too! I went through all of the crying spells as well! Failures in the nursing community are so untalked about but I promise everyone goes through them!! Passing something or doing well the first time feels good but nothing feels better than overcoming a failure! It's really sad how many businesses around campus shut down this year. The sushi place around the corner from where you were parked also closed their doors at the end of December. Yet the Green Duck Taqueria is still open, which is a mystery to me. Also the new res hall went up super fast! I was as surprised as you were when I first saw it! Your mom is absolutely right that it is human to make mistakes until we learn the best way to do something AND I'm happy to hear you passed this time around :)
